- Time to try and collect! Full disclosure to not try and sound like a badass it's my company that I am one of 3 owners of that won the judgement, I am not the sole owner, but many hundreds of thousands of this money if it gets collected would come back to me.

Brian M it’s less you pay to the government at the end of the year. You can save a lot more and have a better return as a business by writing expenses off.

What this channel has taught me is that I neither want to own an exotic rental car business nor do I want to rent an exotic car 😒
Owning a rent exotic business is a tax writed off... you don't do it for profit...

Edward Wood exotic car business rental is definitely way more shady and sleazy than probably any other legal, legitimate business.

Let me translate what he is saying, he became a broker to another rental firm, he was taking a 20% cut on the rentals, they collected the money and did not pay him, he let this go on until the debt got to $650K, he tried to settle, they did not pay, they then sold all the assets, Rob then pays $200K in legal fees, plus interest to get a court order from New York to claim money back. Other company is in California, so will now have to spend another 100K in fees to get a similar judgement from them. All to sue a company that is no longer trading and has no assets.

I went to serve some divorce papers, then while i was smoking some kush i saw a cop kill some guy. I flipped my joint out and i backed up into the cops car then another car..a few times. Then i left to my friends sauls house.

Amen, we are about to put a lien on someone's house and take them to small claims over 750 bucks... They don't seem to realize they will have to pay our court costs as well because they aren't even contesting that the work was done wrong or improperly, they just are claiming that the price was too high, which was listed on the contract they signed and let us complete the work on. Everyone wants something for free. Have fun losing your house over 750 bucks if you don't pay

I just want to thank you for sharing your experiences with this sort of thing, it's refreshing that someone is willing to share their misfortune and mistakes so that other people may learn from them and hopefully not have the same incidents. It's a special kind of decency as a human being to be able to say "This experience was a mistake/misfortune/screwed me, but I want other people to learn from it" 10/10 for your honesty and disclosure.

Rule of thumb, when dealing with large amounts of money or asset,s , "personal guarantee " suing some fly by night LLC while they strip the(re) companies assets clean is a waist of time and money , Better to have a judgement against a dead beat then some abandoned company.
Watch every single penny of cashflow! I really appreciate that lesson. I was lucky to learn it early on with much smaller amounts. Certainly if you give someone an inch they will take a mile. Sounds like the people who bought the business were taking all the money out of the company to finance lavish lifestyles and weren't doing the work, then started a fire sale on assets to cover for the cashflow shortfall and then the whole thing collapsed like a house of cards. People can't seem to grasp the fact that no matter how much money you make you still need to work and fight for every penny you earn!

Lesson learned when you’re partnering with a company and you’re generating leads make sure the money comes to you first so you can take your cut. Make sure you do the billing and the collections.

I testified in behalf of an Insurance claimant in a very large art loss Arbitration case. Our side prevailed, and the Insurer had to payout fully, but it took around two years to finish up.. I feel your pain.

In Idaho if someone sues you and they lose, they pay your legal fees. Best way to do it.

This channel should be called Shark Tank Rentals. It’s very apparent that you’re not scared of them, since you’re business relies on them. The others (hammer heads) run into your parked cars, some sue you, and others list you cars in packages on their website. You gotta have balls to wake up and swim with them everyday.

Fortunate you had available funds to chase it as far as you did. Most small and medium businesses the last decade are already approaching their debt ceiling with no access to the company capital and have to either concede or go out of business. Short but clearly worded contracts help prevent the wiggle room that people exploit these days, but paying for the legal expertise and proven experience is another expense that can dwarf the sum lost. I'm glad you at least won the judgement, hopefully some of what's due will come home to roost for your years of trouble with it.

Rob's company kept the brand and the marketing but funneled customer leads to a 3rd party to actually fulfill the rentals. That company was supposed to pay a commission to Rob's company for every rental, they didn't. There was also some personal bad blood where Rob had to floor a couple rental vehicles for some high profile customers when the fulfillment company wasn't stepping up. Now Rob is back in the Marketing and Fulfillment business.
