Marijuana and Conservatives go together. I believe the Marijuana Debate has people against on both sides. Not a debate for us here in Canada anymore. Legal for Recreational use in August!
Once we get rid of Pence and Sessions, US will likely deschedule pot and leave it up to the states. Michigan's house is voting July to keep it off the ballot. It's one of those issues that will lose them votes if pro pot voters vote. Interestingly in the US, the old conservatives in this country are more likely to fulfill the civic duty of voting than the liberal counterpart.

*_Human beings are born with different capacities. If they are free, they are not equal. And if they are equal, they are not free._* ~ Alexander Solzhenitsyn
You care that people can 'articulate' their opinions, yet you show a total inability of knowing where to use a hyphen / semi-colon in what you write, as opposed to where you think it's correct to put commas. Get back in your box, and make the lads a coffee, you fucking moron.
Me you and others like us think for ourselves as well and why we are here. Don’t forget that brother . Unfortunately majority of folks who don’t think for themselves are those who believe people in power should help make their life’s better. Yet at the same time they think it’s unfair they have so much influence, power and money. It’s a big mind fuck.
Ben, great show! The two of you really make a great team, which many would find odd. I think it is a great example for everyone to see and hear two people with some differing views having an enlightening conversation, in a civilized and polite way. We need more of this idea- exchange done with civility.
+youtube adds +some kind of freemium model where the ending of conversations cost $$$ kind of greedy Mr. Shapiro. I wonder if thats the point where u maximize profit.
Ben.. this was a good move. You and I disagree on a lot of single issue but I will say you've earned my respect with open minded dialogue. As your colleague J. Peterson once said "open dialogue leads to consensus" I think many on both sides of the political spectrum want the same things but we are so ultra polarized by the media to hate one another, open dialogue like this becomes harder and harder to accomplish.
People crave this open dialogue and with the invention of the internet even if only a small percentage of content is open dialogue rather than the spoon fed "this is how you should think" ideological content; the content that is open dialogue just blows up and its creators are heavily rewarded.
I think it's a bit of an assumption I'm not sure I'd grant you to say we all want the same things. Clearly, most people of all political slants don't want to hurt people, see people suffer, or get violent about what they believe. However, I think there are cases where sadly big segments of the population have different values entirely. It's not that there is no overlap with these people on specific things or even specific values, but people these days seem to have radically different values in regards to free speech, the role and scope of government, the rights of groups and individuals, the importance of individuals versus an individual's group identity/membership, etc. However, I think you did nail it when saying the media whips people up into a frenzy to hate each other; they have become as untrustworthy to me as the government in my view. Many people seem to be content to just settle into their camp and not talk to others outside of it, and it's not a good place to be.
I don't agree with loads of Ben's ideology and opinions, but he's so well spoken and so good at conversation and just a really likeable dude. It's so healthy to have all sides of the conversation.
@Matt Horner What planet are you on!?😂 Biden is a moron!!He's not well spoken at all, he's a wreck when it comes to speaking even though he's mostly reading off a teleprompter and that's truly sad to watch. The fact you think the guy's well spoken speaks volumes on your intelligence, America needs someone who delivers on his promises not break all of them like he's been doing for 47 yrs. Truth is these are two very talented men. One man has the ability to keep people talking without talking over them and keep it entertaining and interesting for hours and hours and hours. The other can form thoughts so quick and organize thoughts so fast while simultaneously articulating these thoughts perfectly, at such a fast rate. Very talented guys. Fans of both
At 57:00. Joe makes the excellent point that people don't know how to have real conversations. They just sit and wait for their time to talk so they can feel good about how well they delivered their line. This reminds me of something Jordan Peterson says. People don't really know how to think on their own. What you do in your head isn't real, constructive, critical thinking. It's mostly rationalizations of feelings. In order to really think, you need people to talk to. You have to project your ideas out into the world so the world can reflect them back to you. If you do that often enough, and with as large and diverse a group as possible, you are more likely to get back a relatively accurate image of your idea. That's the only way to meaningfully assess your ideas. It's like wanting to know what your face looks like and using a mirror. You have a face. It's always with you. You can feel it, touch it, and get a general idea of its proportions. But you can't know what it really looks like as a unified image, in full context, without looking into a mirror. That's what real conversations do for your ideas.
Just like the ancient Greek philosophy, there is absolutely nothing man cannot achieve if we sit down and have civilized discussion. Dialect and debate are absolutely useless if a common understanding cannot be reached. We need to encourage more dialect and less useless rhetoric.
@@MrRickstopher Oh please, what does it even mean? So, apparently not so perfect, I'm 53, so he missed a demographic regarding colloquial, social meaning.
I don't know what that is supposed to mean. We all know of Joe's experiences with DMT. Your suggestion Rogan cares not for facts is entirely erroneous, so wtf are you trying to say?
Randy Ben shapiros famous saying is “facts don’t care about your feelings”. Joe likes dmt. I like both joe and Ben and simply collaborated between the two. Nothing serious to take from this, don’t let it go over your head buddy, simmer down.
Joe: sounds like he's in slow motion. Ben: sounds like he's being fast forwarded. My brain: being put into coast mode, then abruptly into hyper drive.🤯
Ben and Joe talking is basically the real life version of how my brain thinks very quickly but my mouth moves too slowly and I end up sloshing my speech 😂
The two of them together are an incredible bridge for conversations. So much respect and patience displayed. As a Christian and mom of two sons and two daughters (who also homeschools), I can listen to them discuss things forever and I have my own feelings too! When Ben says things like he can agree with Joe or that they agree on more than 50, 60, even 90% of things and respectfully differ on the rest, I could say the same. The things they disagree on, I have a third view because of Jesus, the Savior. But I admire these men even though we disagree on such a “big” issue- it’s a big personal issue, and should be forcefully big political one.
I LOVE this for so many reasons. What an unlikely pair of 2 men that clearly respect and appreciate each other and seem to be genuine friends. They are complete gentleman and their common thread is that they both enjoy learning and making themselves better men by getting to know and learning from people that are different from themselves. A respectable coupling and a beautiful example of being able to have enriching conversations with our name calling or peacocking and in my opinion this is how intelligent gentleman behave. I would never expect these two guys would be buddies in the real world and I just LOVE how they get along despite being so different and I think they better men for it. My two favorites and I adore them both and for different reasons but this conversation and the example they are in this video is my new favorite. I would give anything to meet these two and just pick the brain of both of them. Thank you guys for this but more importantly thank you for being such a great example to young boys and how you behave and how valuable it is to respect and get to know all kinds of people, not yelling or being disrespectful of each other because getting to know people and the more different someone is the more you learn from.
A most excellent observation my dear lady. Love the way you articulated your sentiments as they relate to these two fine examples of mature, intelligent, classy gentlemen.

We need more guys like this to help people find common ground
Ben.. this was a good move. You and I disagree on a lot of single issue but I will say you've earned my respect with open minded dialogue.
As your colleague J. Peterson once said "open dialogue leads to consensus"
I think many on both sides of the political spectrum want the same things but we are so ultra polarized by the media to hate one another, open dialogue like this becomes harder and harder to accomplish.
"open dialogue leads to consensus" no it doesn't. Secede.
People crave this open dialogue and with the invention of the internet even if only a small percentage of content is open dialogue rather than the spoon fed "this is how you should think" ideological content; the content that is open dialogue just blows up and its creators are heavily rewarded.
Ha look at all these triggered bois^
How is there alot of single issue? Lmao
I don't agree with loads of Ben's ideology and opinions, but he's so well spoken and so good at conversation and just a really likeable dude. It's so healthy to have all sides of the conversation.

Absolutely correct
You have to have your ideas contradicted before you can know if they're worth keeping.
Watch Chuck Palahniuk on JRE
Just like the ancient Greek philosophy, there is absolutely nothing man cannot achieve if we sit down and have civilized discussion. Dialect and debate are absolutely useless if a common understanding cannot be reached. We need to encourage more dialect and less useless rhetoric.
Really well termed.
