The title of this episode is SO GENIUS because it explains exactly the problem with Toya - You don't put out a fire by ignoring it or leaving it alone.
Seriously. My heroe's voice actors are giving it their all. Things are getting really interesting. And maybe we'll see new faces joining the heroes cause how the hell are they going to take on all those villains?
Yeah, this was called “The wrong way to put out a fire” for a reason. It’s honestly a perfect way of looking at what Endeavor did to Touya. Endeavor sparked the fire, and instead of giving it calm and gentle water or something to put it out, he basically poured gasoline and paint thinner on it, and then proceeded to ignore the fire and let it build, not realizing that he was not only the root of the problem but also the main one making it worse. And by the time he did realize it, it’s all just too little too late. Obviously this is in the most literal sense.
Not just Endeavor . It was the whole family. If any one of them wasn’t so selfish, Toya could have been saved but then again Toya himself was too angry with everyone
Fun fact: in the manga they show how Rei, in a attack of desperation, tries to cure Shoto with her ice powers. Which you should never do after such accidents. Yes, Shoto could have resisted those burns, his scar is a frostburn. That's not the right way to put out a fire.
Yup. Even more so since she put ice directly on his skin. I can think of two reasons why this was left out the anime (besides "time restraints"). One, it was "too brutal for TV; two, to avoid people questioning how ice can burn skin and how this made Shoto's injury worse.
@@wanna-be-thinker2377 I mean, it's an actually useful thing to know in life too. I have some frost scars myself because at that time I didn't know how ice on burns/bruises will only make the injury worse :') I've heard some reactors question how could his fire resistance be enough for a fire, but not for boiling water. So anime really didn't clarify this confusion by not adding this scene
Between that & Dabi, training with his dad, and his mom with the boiling water, Shoto seems to have a track record of getting burned by his family members
Endeavor started off well intentioned to not have Toya train, but neglected addressing Toya's emotional and psychological needs to ensure he felt loved even if he couldn't live up to his expectations with being a hero. Training to Toya meant getting love and attention from Endeavor, because he didn't get to feel like he was receiving it any other way
Wow you *COPIED my comment word for word* on Struck by Belz video and a few other places. lol You could at least tried to make it sound a little different yourself. 🤣 I accept the likes you get though.👍
@{Aono tv and text stories} yep Enji for starting the fire zero for standing by and doing nothing and Touya for not listening to Enji telling him to stop
@{Aono tv and text stories} This is my comment originally from another video that this person copied. So I'm responding. lol Yeah, Endeavor fault isn't alone in how he became Dabi, but he was the source of that expectation in the first place specifically with training Toya, so that's why I focused on him as the original source. So in that context Endeavor is the specific central source (like a domino effect). But of course other factors lead to him ultimately as Dabi.
IKR! Rei's dead eyes made me so uneasy but it was such a good example of show don't tell. God knows what would've happened if Shoto was never born. Like even if Rei consented with the marriage, it still feels rape.
Since Shoto never really spent that much time with Toya, I guess he doesn’t really remember what his hair looks like + he was only five. All he knew was "Toya had red hair and white hair" and kept remembering both without a specific timeline.
yes! I caught that too. Damn, Rei was going through it, no wonder she didn't have the capacity to help her children, the woman was in constant survival mode.
@@CharTurner6928 I'm seeing a lot of people blaming the mother for how things turned out, and it's like, no, at that point Rei was hardly a human being even in her own mind.
Dabi's the definition of "villains aren't born, they are made". All Toya wanted was for endeavor to acknowledge him, now all Dabi wants is for endeavor to regret him.
"All Toya wanted" is a bit misleading tho. He didn't have the body to become the hero and Endeavor told him that over and over. Refusing to train him and pushing him into "another life" Toya just couldn't accept that. That part is just him being mentally ill, which festered into becoming Dabi.
Not at all. Touya is very clearly a case of someone being born with severe mental issues that inpede him from behaving like a normal person and that ultimately lead him to do horrible stuff. Touya didn't just want his father to acknowledge him, he obsessed himself with the idea of becoming a hero that could surpass All Might, which he would never be able to do, and despite constant warnings from both his paretns, that told him repeateadly that he should focus on having a life and finding things to do that wouldn't end up killing him, kept hurting himself over and over in that empty pursue for power. His obessive tendencies, hostility, insanity and refusal to listen to reason are what caused Rei and Enji to reach the end of their ropes and the family to fall appart. If Touya had not existed, the family would have been much better off.
@@oliviawilde2672 I love how obtuse you are. No, if Touyas parents raised him right they would've been better of but yeah go ahead and excuse Rei and Endeavour actions🤦🏽
@@Saint_Augustus bro yes he would have been ok but he still would have some issues....He was abit bad from the start and obsessed a lot todoroki didnt say anything to his mom even tho she burned him....he is like kakashi no matter how many unfortunate things happened they didnt turn
This whole episode was a sad look at domestic violence and child abuse/neglect. Just shows how dangerous it is to try and manipulate a child's way of thinking. Just look at how Toya turned out. Giving your child love, a happy place to call home, and great stability betters their chances of growing up right.
Repeatedly telling your son to not do something that is very clearly hurting them is not manipulating a child, it's literally what any parent should do. Touya turned out this way because he was a nutjob with horrible obsessive tendencies that refused to listen to his parents at every turn. And Touya was loved, Rei and Enji woulnd't try to keep him from hurting himself if they didn't love him, he also had a place to call home, which was perfectly stable until Touya's insanity and hostility started to destabilise it.
@@oliviawilde2672 God this dumbass take again. It's not Endeavour told Touya not to use his quirk, it's the way he went about it Endeavour raised out of the womb with the sole goal of grooming him to be better than All Might that's all that David knew from his earliest age and then one day on a whim he tells David to stop it without easing him out of the habits HE raised Dabi in then neglecting leaving all the responsibility on Rei running away off to his duties, yelling at his wife in front of his children putting the All Might surpassing duties on Shoto making Touya feel he isn't special anymore, that is neglect that is abuse Dabi isn't insane because he born that way he turned out that way because neither of his partner took the responsibility of raising him right
@@oliviawilde2672 are you dumb. the only reason he kept training even when it was hurting him was due to endeavour straight up emotionally neglecting him to the point were touya was willing to harm himself for his dad to love him. touya wasn't loved at all lmao. just another one of endeavours failed projects
@@furynvm The fuck are you saying? Touya was very clearly loved by both his parents, that's the entire reason they tried to keep him from using his powers, to protect him, and repeateadly told him as much, to no avail. Enji and Rei deciding to keep Touya from doing something that could kill him isn't emotionally neglecting him, it's protecting your son, which any decent parent would do. If you don't understand that then you should never have kids. Touya got told countless times that instead of burning himself for no reason he should be playing with his siblings, making friends at school and thinking of other things he could do besides being a hero and, despite constant efforts to make him see things as they truly were, his crazy ass still decided to live in his own delusion and continued with his self harming nonsense when both his parents made it clear that they didn't want him hurting himself, and even tried to kill his own baby brother. Touya made it clear that he wouldn't stop regarless of what any of his parents said, and eventually his own stupididty and complete disregard for all the warnings he received is what got him burned.
Dabi can be considered a dark reflection of Shoto, as it's been implied that Shoto may have become just like Dabi if he couldn't forgive his father and let his burning hatred for Endeavor consume him as Dabi had done; Shoto himself noted this and it was the reason why he wanted to deal with Dabi himself.
3:48 This scene sent shivers down my spine literally!! The anger that was boiling in him, Rei bringing his meal that he did not eat with his family and the terror on his face slowly turning to Rei's along the horrifying music and her realizing what he wanted in fear just depressed me for the day!!
"If Touya sees another child that can do what he can't he'll give up" he says as he's half a decade into his backyard eugenics program because he can't accept All Might being better than him.
He is trying to protect his son. Toya's dream is killing himself. Fair point is that Endeavor could have quit being a hero for his son and most certainly not pushing Shoto to become the best hero ever.
That's the tragic part of it. It's like an alcoholic parent trying to tell their kid not to drink when that's all they grew up knowing. That "beat all might" dream IS Enji's addiction. Touya was the most in tune with him and the kid who was most attached to him--so obviously he picked up on what his dad's true priorities were. Enji could say "there's more to life than being a hero" all he wanted and Touya would've been like "uh huh, is that why it's the only thing that matters to you?". Enji kept running away from his duty to his son because he knew he was a hypocrite. He says as much to Rei--all he can show Touya, or anyone, is how to live in the world of heroes. He's not equipped for anything else.
@@Tubular_dude_20y_ago Endeavor clearly DID accepted that he couldn't surpass All Might, that's literally why he decided to entrust that dream to his children. And this is a very dumb false equivalence. Endeavor's quest to surpass All Might is what led him to become the number 2 hero, saving countless lives and defeating countless villains, he wasn't killing himself over it, nor was it hurting anyone, on the contrary, society benefited inmensely from it. Touya on the other hand was literally hurting himself and the path he was on would eventually lead to him burning himself to death, DESPITE both his parents repeadteadly trying to reason with him and make him see where he was going wrong only to be met with hostility and psycopathic tendencies.
@@oliviawilde2672 It's like Tai Lung, Toya got filled with so much hope about his prospects and how they saw his potential... and then something came in to show that the dream was dead, Toya couldn't handle it, Enji screwed up letting him down easy, and a monster was created. Unlike Shifu, though, Enji ended up becoming far worse, and left a lot more scars before he realized what he had become.
If there was a support item that could overcome overheating, Endeavor probably wouldn't have even thought of bequeathing its ambitions to a taboo-created child. In fact, the vest that Shoto wears in his hero suit has a system to help him regulate his temperature. And yet he has trouble doing it when he uses his quirk to its fullest.
it's crazy, cause endeavor told touya from the very beginning that his only reason for living was to become the number 1 hero. telling touya he couldn't become a hero insinuated that his life wasn't worth anything at all. it's why touya kept training after endeavor told him not to, because with natsuo and fuyumi not having "hero" quirks, he still had a chance to redeem himself. but shouto was born... and touya snapped, trying to kill him for stealing his chance at being loved. and it's the way endeavor had plenty of money to fund making a support item for touya, but instead neglected him and started having more kids as a replacement. ideally, a parent is supposed to find ways to treat their child's disability. but endeavor kinda just gave up on touya.
I sincerily doubt Endeavor straight up said "the only reason you exist is to beat All Might," that's probably more how Touya interpreted "dad won't spend time with me now that I can't train". Every reference to Enji even thinking of the others as "failures" comes from Touya or Natsuo (who's repeating what Touya told him). From Enji himself, the most we get are the lines about the other kids "living in a different world", but we know now that's about keeping Touya away from the "Hero" world to keep him from hurting himself. And we've seen nothing even approaching support tech able to make a person burn proof. Hell, there isn't support tech that can fix Endeavor's much less serious overheating problem.
@@o0Evo0o the only time he paid attention to toya was when he thought he would beat all might so clearly he interpreted it that way, especially after shoto was born
One detail about that flower Todorki's Mom brought is that she only told Endeavour that one time that she liked that flower, and since she was interned at the hospital, she always received that flower from someone every now and then, that's why she brought it
Another fact about Todorki is that his face scar wasn't made by the boiling water since his body has resistance to fire, his mother made it. After she burned him with the water she instantly regret and tried to use her ice quirk to reduce the burn, cause a much worse freese burn leading to a permanent scar.
And also that part when Toya said "all you've ever shown me was how to turn up the heat", makes sense because endeavor never showed him how to turn off his flames or control it properly. Correct me if I'm wrong
@@itz.julion That's assuming he is telling the truth that he was never told how to stop, since Dabi explains things from a skewed perspective even to himself. Seems like 1 or the 1st things you train if you want someone to be able to put out more power. Learning to start also means learning to stop even with just a few lessons. I mean when learning to drive a car, even as the 1st lesson, the driver tells you how to stop. I think it's fine that they didn't show it cause it doesn't matter as much.
@@SpectreBagels it explains it more in the manga. And yes I'm seeing your point but, toya couldn't control his flames, because if he could then he could've easily quenched his flames in that forest.
@@itz.julion Ah but you forget, the nature of his flames had changed along with the condition for how they get out of hand. So he could have been taught how to control them as they were but the methods clearly wouldn't work the same if emotional instability triggered or enhances the change, without anyone realizing
It’s crazy how toya just wanted the validation of Endeavor as a parent and he was so focused on creating the perfect son and that basically what made dabi, well Dabi.
This is an incredibly complex episode with lots of nuanced emotions. I was CONSIDERING going through this whole thing point by point and cover the in depth nuance, but it got SO long even I realized, “No one will read this.” And I scrapped it. XD there goes an hour of writing. So I’ll just say the bare bones. This STARTED as a quirk marriage, this STARTED as a passion project to surpass All-Might. But became a large scale effort to prevent the golden child Touya Todoroki from endlessly pursuing a route in life that would most certainly lead to his own death. Each effort got blunter and blunter making another nail in his coffin instead of a deterrent and accidentally creating a sociopathic murderer hell bent on destroying what is now a somehow more functional family now than ever before. Rei hated Endeavor, but has come to realize she never took it on herself to understand him. (And won’t give him leeway.) Her mere presence from a situation she DID have the power to walk away from and take the kids with her is the sign that she DOES still love Endeavor. And I see that flower she brings in as a “Let’s start over.” Not for the kids, but for her and Enji. Endeavor has INCREDIBLY weak empathy making NONE of his methods work correctly because he didn’t use them with enough care. Even though each choice DOES actually have logic behind it. The ONLY thing that you can tell how much he empathized with was the absolute terror of Touya’s quirk recoil. He knew EXACTLY how much it hurt him because he considers his OWN recoil the exact reason he’s not Number 1. And as All-Might got better, it showed the gap for Endeavor, but also how hard Touya was pushing himself. He was struggling in vein to stop this, but didn’t have the emotional capability to do it. He also has among the WORST emotional traits. The trait of showing sorrow and fear as anger. He is DESPERATE to not show vulnerability. And I think that is EXACTLY why Rei knows he IS trying. Because it’s a mask. And he can’t maintain it forever. This crash is years too late for the kids to see. But considering what kind of man Endeavor is, it also shouldn’t be surprising it took til THIS happened. There isn’t a single family member that doesn’t feel guilt of the events. But there also isn’t a single one that doesn’t desperately want to fix things. Natsuo is the MOST resentful of his dad, but even that doesn’t spell to me he will cut him off once Touya is stopped. The chances of Touya Todoroki having the ultimate irony of being ANOTHER half cold-half hot wielder is TERRIFYINGLY high he could have grown to in his adulthood. I have been curious about how he cried when he got excited. And that may have been melted ice for all we know. His hair STRAIGHT UP matches Shoto for a year or so. Natsuo lost his red hair, and Fuyumi stayed the same. Touya’s went through a LARGE transition. And while Shoto’s hair has no connection to his quirk, (DNA is not constrained to one side of your body. If he has both, it doesn’t mean it HAS to stay on one side.) that doesn’t mean that it’s exactly the same for the other siblings. But it would be the ULTIMATE irony and nothing would hurt the Todoroki’s more that he ACTUALLY transforms his quirk more. (This is an unproven theory, but I do VERY much so believe in it.) And the final thing regarding the Todoroki’s. It’s important to say only a victim can forgive an aggressor. Whether we feel it’s deserved or not is irrelevant. And it seems the Todoroki’s are inching closer to that point, even if Dabi obviously isn’t. So it’s worth pointing that reality out. And exploring why they feel he COULD earn it if he tries harder to be communicative and understanding. But if there’s one thing above all I love, it is the mere MENTION of the term One For All blows the lid of more than a CENTURY of hiding from AFO, the government, the public, and all other villains. The MOMENT Shigaraki says where is OFA, Endeavor asked what it was. And Deku IMMEDIATELY ran from the evacuation site and Shigaraki went after him INSTANTLY. It wasn’t the extra quirks that gave him away, it wasn’t Bakugo revealing anything, it wasn’t Deku being registered quirkless in elementary school and middle school. It was JUST the fact that AFO found out Izuku Midoriya was the 9th wielder ALL THE WAY back in season 3. He used Search and shouted at All-Might. The worst case scenario had ALREADY been laid bare 3 seasons ago. It’s a MIRACLE it lasted this long. But the unknown connection to All-Might, AFO’s grudge with the man. Deku being hunted. And just…there’s no more hiding it. Thank GOD only the Todoroki’s have become aware with the top 3 heroes. Everyone else just believes it’s a connection with AFO. Which it is INTEGRALLY. But Deku becoming the new Symbol of Peace and All-Might’s successor HAS to be prevented from being FULLY leaked because then Deku gets blamed for the war itself. Because ALL OF THIS. Was for the sole purpose of hunting him down to kickstart the Dark Age AFO created before the era of the 4th holder. It breaks my heart seeing Bakugo in a state where he likely would have barged into Deku’s hospital room and he would have screamed at a comatose Deku. (Such loving friends willing to do anything for each other right guys? I know he’s made strides, but that is PURELY Bakugo development. Not their relationship. I have to say it again.) But Uraraka and Iida would ABSOLUTELY be in the hospital room waiting for Deku to wake up if All-Might hadn’t asked for the room to himself so he can try and sense the OFA conversation. (Not at ALL a signal this man might just still have the prime power. It’s ANOTHER signal I can’t ignore.) It would make it SO much harder to see because the two of them care for Deku’s well being more than any other student. And last but not least, get me a poster of Iida holding his chest. Because I am throwing that on the Iida chop gold medal pile. What the hell is he doing? I don’t know but I love it.
@@draxxprime7608 take her kids and move? Endeavor already had his quirk baby. Her promise was fulfilled. Her family is supported. And if she divorced him, she would gain any assets missing to move away. Yet here she stands. And based on how she talked in the season 4 finale when she talked to the kids, about how she said he’s facing his past, tried to see her, and how she has no idea how his mind works. That’s why I believe she brought the flower to say “Let’s start over.” I don’t know where I said she enjoyed this. But I’m going to assume you thought I did about Natsuo and Shoto being born? Nah she was breaking then. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Endeavor is my FAVOURITE character in all of My Hero BECAUSE he was a coward and a monster and the story NEVER lets him get away with it, even if it also sets him up for atonement and redemption, and he TRIES to be better. It also sets up the core theme of the entire story - every UNFORGIVABLE character still deserves to be saved for the chance for atonement and redemption. Not in that cheap and easy Dragon Ball way, but in a way where they point out - killing them does nothing and gives nothing, but saving them gives them the chance to put good back into the world (as we see with Endeavor).

It's Touya, and him alone, who refuses all their warnings and advices, and decides to keep hurting himself, who decides that the women in his family are useless, who cruely belitles his mom and who almost killed his own baby brother. Touya was insane since the very beggining and he's the reason his family fell appart.
that bitch had one job to raise the kids properly and she couldn't even do that. she even burned shoto. she was nvr there for Toya when he needed her. she has as much blame as endeavor
@You alright boi ? Rei did eff up fr tho….seeing how Touya didn’t get the emotional support/attention he needed from NEITHER parents. He must have felt beyond hopeless, helpless and alone, while his anger and pain creeping up on him more day by day as he got older ( and as shoto got older too ) yikes DEFINITELY NOT a good childhood to live through.
@You alright boi ? She wasn't a hero, she was a girl with an ice quirk who happened to be around when the #2 hero with a fire quirk wanted a designer quirk baby and was basically sold off into a life of servility, isolation, and a seemingly endless cycle of emotionless sex and childbirth.
Something interesting to note. Shoto's burn on his face isn't due to the hot water. The scar is basically frostbite due to rei immediately using her quirk on him in a panic after she did it. Which ironically mirrors Dabi's scares. Because, Dabi's obviously are due to his flames meanwhile shoto's is due to ice.
The whole “If you’re a Todoroki, you’re Endeavor”, storyline has been awesome through the series, so many dynamic characters changes with the Todoroki family.
Toya fr said to baby Shoto, "You're hired, but you're also fired". It's kinda crazy how Endeavor's inspiration for making children was All Might, that just leaves the question, What was he screaming during intercourse with Rei? "ALL MIGHT!! ALL MIGHT!! REI, I'M BOUT TO BUSS, PLUS ULTRAAAA!!!!".
I mean, you see how much baggage he's got. Even if you want to kill your family, love and hate are very strong emotions. Dabi's mind is probably shattered six ways from Sunday.
My guess is that Japanese keyboards on phones are the same for both English and Japanese phones. If that's the case, you tap and drag to select each character so it is a mixture of old texting and knew. An example would be that you tap the same place for ka, ko, ke, ku, and ki but the direction that you drag your finger after taping decides the character. Not that anyone cares, just thought I'd give my input on swiping vs. tapping.
Yeah good luck Toya cant be stopped unless endeavour takes all his flames and dies with him His rage and anger puts his firepower at the level of all might, he burns entire cities
After Toya tries to bbq Shoto, you can see Endeavor's sleeve is all burnt up, as well as his arm So he probably held Toya back before knocking him out or smth; goes to show how strong Toya's flame is, if it managed to hurt the guy with fire powers
2:18 I saw a fan post about him in a suit that helped him with his powers & this was a while ago, I always thought after the collab with redestro they would get him right
I love the way we see Toya/Dabi crying blood and think "maybe he's sad deep down" but then later in the episode we realise he cries when excited, he wants nothing but the worst for endeavor, he'd never cry for him.
There's two more with responsibility in this rarely mentioned (though NO WERE NEAR AS RESPONSIBLE AS ENDEAVOR). Rei's parents had their hand in this, despite one of them only briefly being seen. They agreed to the marriage along with Rei, and the one time Rei called for help (The Teapot Incident) it was to them only to not get it; I'm guessing just before Shoto entered the kitchen her mother told her "well dear, just try to stick it out. We need the money and it will look bad on both families."
8:38 that head nod is exactly how I felt Roshi lmaoo that's my bitch!! Can't wait to see her in action... Season 7 is gonna be the best because of her, best believe!
Endeavor parallels Firelord Ozai in SO many ways -father of scarred boy -abusive/arranged marriage -psychotic offspring with blue flames -power hungry -pyrokinesis obvi
3:46 if he told Touya to stop, then he should've stopped his little project as well lol expecting him to stop when he keeps seeing you create more kids for his goal will only encourage him more
It's amazing to see these scenes animated! and Touya's VA did a great job. The whole Todoroki family needs so much therapy. I liked how they had Natsu emphasize that he was only supporting Endeavor in stopping Dabi. Forgiveness from him still isn't an option, at this point. Feel a little bad that Bakugo wasn't allowed to go in and see Deku, but he probably does need to be resting. He's still recovering and shouldn't push himself with all his screaming an stomping around. Though I know that's just because he's worried about Deku.
I theorize Dabi makes flames by secreting some flammable solution from his pores and shit and that's why his flames are blue. That's also why he starts crying when he uses his flames because the way he makes flames is by pushing his glands and such. He doesn't cry tears, he cries fuel. So him being sad and crying made it all worse on Sekoto Peak.
When you realized how Todoroki Shoto’s scar wasn’t because his mother pour a boiling hot water (cause that’s his fire part so he didn’t really burned) BUT then his mom, immediately iced him after causing the scar forming cause of that frostbite 🫠
Toya had his own problems that he honestly needed professional help. People are to quick Toya himself to put all the blame on Endeavor, was he a great dad no but Toya had something broken inside him
It's interesting how Dabi's "him" to surpass changed as he got older. First it was surpassing All Might, then after Shoto was born it was surpassing him, and now it's surpassing Endeavor.

Endeavor started off well intentioned to not have Toya train, but neglected addressing Toya's emotional and psychological needs to ensure he felt loved even if he couldn't live up to his expectations with being a hero.
Training to Toya meant getting love and attention from Endeavor, because he didn't get to feel like he was receiving it any other way
If I were him I would've gotten professional help cuz it's just a matter of time before Touya would decide to off someone

@Rae C I mean it's just a comment? Not exactly robbing a bank is it?
Not sure if y’all noticed it but the implications of how shoto was born based off their face expressions is CRAZY here 3:48

This scene is anime only bruh. Endeavour doesn't look at her menacingly in the manga.
Since Shoto never really spent that much time with Toya, I guess he doesn’t really remember what his hair looks like + he was only five. All he knew was "Toya had red hair and white hair" and kept remembering both without a specific timeline.

Lupa too damn funny. "You! You're the problem!" 😆 "Now unbuckle it and get busy!"
Dabi's the definition of "villains aren't born, they are made". All Toya wanted was for endeavor to acknowledge him, now all Dabi wants is for endeavor to regret him.
All For one.

@@oliviawilde2672 touya was a literal kid. enji only taught him to output his fire, not actually contain it. instead he focused on shoto.

Crazy how endeavor keeps tryna tell Dabi to just give up on his dream but isn’t willing to himself
My man smiling at star and stripe was so gangsta🤣 We manga readers know the upcoming epicness
The painful redemption arc Endeavor has gone through is insane to see. This family so broken and needs to heal
I mean we don't really get to see the training. It's all based on what Dabi said and the vague notion that he just "stopped training" him
@@SpectreBagels yh but if knew how, then that pseudo $uicide in the forest wouldnt have happened.
@@itz.julion That's assuming he is telling the truth that he was never told how to stop, since Dabi explains things from a skewed perspective even to himself. I mean when learning to drive a car, even as the 1st lesson, the driver tells you how to stop. I think it's fine that they didn't show it cause it doesn't matter as much.
@@SpectreBagels it explains it more in the manga.

@@itz.julion Ah but you forget, the nature of his flames had changed along with the condition for how they get out of hand. So he could have been taught how to control them as they were but the methods clearly wouldn't work the same if emotional instability triggered or enhances the change, without anyone realizing
Dabi is the perfect example of whatever doesn't kill you. only makes you crazier.
(This is an unproven theory, but I do VERY much so believe in it.)
And the final thing regarding the Todoroki’s.
I agree in all except one thing whether Rei liked it or not she had no hope of leaving with the kids
That’s why I believe she brought the flower to say “Let’s start over.”

My guess is that Japanese keyboards on phones are the same for both English and Japanese phones. If that's the case, you tap and drag to select each character so it is a mixture of old texting and knew. 8:33 i like that nod and smile from roshi when we see the silhouette of Stars and Stripes ^^
Lupa brings up a good point about a support item for Dabi. I don't think anyone thought of that.
Yeah but his flames were growing stronger day by day, that item would not contain it
also ENDEAVOUR AND REI WERE STUPID so ofcourse they never knew
Couldn't help but notice Roshi's face when they showed THE silouhette.
I feel you bro, we're all (manga readers) waiting for that to happen.
8:38 that smile that damn smile hahaha
The facial expressions in this episode are top-tier and absolutely terrifying.
One of the best chapters/episode of the series. The Todoroki Family’s drama is one of the main reasons I kept reading My Hero
3:11 I was hoping I wasn't the only one. Thank you Roshi!
8:38 I feel the same bro, I feel exactly the same
2:23 See I was thinking the same thing for him as a kid but sheesh I can only imagine how crazy it would all be
Can we just talk bout how fire the intro is?
They showed the sillhouette but damn, i can't wait to see how they animate a certain foreign hero.
Best ep of season 6 in my opinion
I love the dabi back story
Watch Endeavor Apologists grasp at straws
When you realized how Todoroki Shoto’s scar wasn’t because his mother pour a boiling hot water (cause that’s his fire part so he didn’t really burned) BUT then his mom, immediately iced him after causing the scar forming cause of that frostbite 🫠
8:37 "HE KNOWS, HE KNOWS, AND I KNOW HE KNOOOOOWS!!!"
Toya had his own problems that he honestly needed professional help. People are to quick Toya himself to put all the blame on Endeavor, was he a great dad no but Toya had something broken inside him
cap
If i'm a therapist in this universe i'm moving my house right next to Todoroki HQ
Bro Lupa doing the Mr.Mcman voice is comedy😭
POV: U perfectly instigated a fight
8:38
roshi had tht look when they mentioned international heroes i cant wait for tht thing
8:36 roshi knows what's up
8:38 🐐
8:38 *S&S outline appears*
roshi: good soup
It's interesting how Dabi's "him" to surpass changed as he got older. First it was surpassing All Might, then after Shoto was born it was surpassing him, and now it's surpassing Endeavor.
8:36 yeah bro def has read the manga😂😂
This episode was animated beautifully
8:37
SOON, BABY! SOON!!!😃😃😃😃😃
This episode trully shows how easy it is to turn your kid into a psycopath.
