it's the same in London.if you watch the news when the city has an incident you'd think that the whole city has come to a stand still.I would get texts from family and friends even though I live and work miles away from the incident. I think the news media hypes things up especially if it's a slow news day.I would like to see them do a better job of more balanced reporting and stop creating hysteria where there is none.

Lul. Is it resilience? Most of them don't even know whats going on. Its ignorance rather than resilience.

Most other cities would react the same way. It’s not unique to N.Y.

It literally takes a bomb to get Casey Neistat to use the subway.

London is very much the same. I live maybe 15 minutes from central london, and last year on the same day there was a terrorist attack on tower bridge where several people were rammed by a van, and borough market (right next to the bridge) where people ran out of the van and stabbed several people. I was in both of those places taking the exact same route maybe 2 hours before it happened. it's scary stuff, but the resilience i see in london is incredible. i imagine it's the same in NYC, and probably most other cities in the world. peace and love to everyone, may we live in a better world some day.

I used to live in New York City. People there seem to be quite depressed and stressed up in many ways, especially in the subways, I see a lot of sad people. Looking at them made me sad too.

Casey you are such an inspiration for the rest of us to think out of the box. It amazes me how you can take the news and bring it to an eye to eye level with the brave people living in your home town. Thanks for making this video.

Casey Thank you for making a video that we all needed to see all over the world... the event is tragic.. but it's good to see that we shouldn't always believe or overwhelmed by what the news shares. Life Moves on :)

Cool vid. Just wanted to say: i think this is normal behaviour for ppl who live in big cities to just carry on with their lives. It feels like you make it look like NYC is special in this kind of situation. Im from Berlin and I know that that is not a thing that the whole city stops working.

I love your content Casey, I think it was very important of you to go in and talk to a bunch of people and see what they're thinking and observing. It's a more on-the-ground kind of approach that I really like and admire a lot.

I love New York for that reason, it just keeps going no matter what! Mucho respect, can't wait to get back very soon

You can only be resilient if you actively confront a situation, not if you choose to ignore it. People not caring about what the alert is about is not something to be proud of, is being ignorant and unaware of their surroundings. From this video newyorkers dont seem resilient, they seem ignorant and careless and I'm not sure why one would be proud of that.

For the people that knew what was going on, I would say that it is not so much resilience, but more apathy, except for maybe the people immediately nearby.
