I have never seen a better defender than Nika Muhl in this year's NCAAW finals. Especially her defense of Caitlin Clark. And she maintained her relentless elite level of defense for a very long time. I'm in awe of her shooting and her defense. I can't wait to see her on the court for Seattle. She is a fierce competitor.

Nika was getting some not so nice comments early in the season by some supposed UCONN “fans” but those of us who knew at the time those comments were ridiculous are smiling even bigger now seeing her shine in the well deserved spotlight of success she has worked hard to achieve. She’s special and I am so happy for her- what she has done and will do. Go Nika!!!

Extremely durable player. Tough as nails. I've been a Uconn fan ever since Rebecca Lobo led the Huskies to their first national title. Wishing Nika all the best. She will do great at Seattle.

If there was ever a future player in any sport that said the right thing heading into a higher level of play, it would be Nika Mühl during this press conference. I'm certain that her impromptu answers to every question within this media space will grant her an unprecedented level of Rookie respect by the Storm's vets and coaches when walking into Seattle's practice facility for the first time.
Yup! these uconn players are so different from other players, you can tell they have media training but they don’t over do it and are still their true natural and authentic selves. it’s why they’re so loved!

She has a shooters touch, court vision, hand eye, fast twitch and great balance/agility. if youve played football, basketball or soccer, you know how hard it is to guard someone and stay in front them. she will be one of players from this class that will be in the HOF

Nika You Deserved this so much, I honestly Feel they shouldve selected you in The First Round. When I heard you speak here, I Saw The Maturity, Greatfulness, Humbleness and Intellect you possess. And Your Abilities on The Court are Incredible! I went back and watched alot of your games I had never seen, and Im Just in Awe of Your Skills. Your Shooting Ability is Incredible, And your Passing ability as well, and during your college time , you often passed the ball many many times to teammates, even when you had opportunities for easy shots for yourself, and that is a Mark of All Star Quality.
And to Top everything, Nika Your Defense Skills are Unmatched! Ive never quite seen such Intensive and Fierce Defense Skills Like Yours, You are in a Class Apart from anyone else in your Defense Abilities!

Nika, I hoped that you would get drafted and am so happy you made it to Seattle! I have a 4 year connection with that city from way in the past (79-82) with the US Navy. Love the city and all it's surrounding area. You are one of the most impressive players I have watched this season, and your outstanding play against Caitlin Clark in the semifinal game stood out for all to see. One bad foul call IMO cost Uconn that game. Keep up your drive and motivation on this next phase of your journey, it certainly serves you well!! Congratulations, you have made it to the next level!

@WNBA Why haven't you posted Alissa Pili's draft presser? She's the only first rounder who attended the draft who doesn't have a video up. Extremely gross of the league to use Alissa to push the "representation matters" narrative...and then not share/elevate what she had to say after getting picked by the Lynx.
And while you're at it, post the pressers for Celeste Taylor, Charisma Osborne & Kate Martin since they were also in attendance!

Seems to be a genuine, delightful and humble gifted athlete. I really hope she gets the endorsement deals and fan appreciation she deserves. She really should of been chosen much earlier in the draft. If this is an example of the kind of athlete that the WNBA wants to present as its representative face, then the league will definitely grow in popularity. The fan base should however appreciate the sport for what it is and judge it on its own merit. Venus and especially Serena Williams are examples that show women athletes can be taken seriously and in many cases upstage their male counterparts. As an example, Floyd Mayweather isn’t even a heavyweight boxer but yet he is the richest and arguably the most successful boxer that has ever lived.
