Furthermore, Cathy Englebert is planning to have the total of 16 WNBA teams by 2028. I hope she's really doing everything she can to accommodate enough room for talent.

Being at UConn is 100% the reason she got drafted. Gabbie Marshall wasn’t drafted and wasn’t even in contention to be drafted. She is starting her non basketball career now.

Nika was getting some not so nice comments early in the season by some supposed UCONN “fans” but those of us who knew at the time those comments were ridiculous are smiling even bigger now seeing her shine in the well deserved spotlight of success she has worked hard to achieve. Nika's intensity is constantly on 11!! She just never quits. It really amazes me how relentlessly she runs the floor and never loses steam. I hope she has amazing success with Seattle. My wife is from CT and turned me on to the UCONN "girls" last year, and I was totally hooked.

If Nika would've shot the ball better she probably would've gone in the first round. However, she's a demon on defense, I don't think anyone defended Clark better than he, and Nika's shot will continue to improve as did in her last year at UConn. I'm so happy to have her dream come true.
