Airking has the anti magnetic cage for the movement that's the reason it is thicker

That's right, but anti magnetic cage sounds like a joke compare to the Omega's 8xxx calibers.

@@mstislav007 true, but 4500gauss protection is still better than nothing. it's not the 15000 the omegas have, but it'll suffice for most fields encountered on a daily basis

It's a real toss up for me. Love the dial numbers on the air king, but the explorer's lume looks better.

Hi everyone. Great review and I have owned and sold every sports Rolex including the Sub, GMT, Explorer 1 and 2. Hindsight is a great thing 😢. Anyway I bought the Air King last month from my AD and it outshines them all. A unique Rolex and this one will be passed down to my son!

I owned the 214270 Mk2 but didn't keep it for long, just didn't really bond with the look and wearability of it.
But I've owned my Milgauss (exactly the same case as AK) for over a year and absolutely love it. The 40mm AK case wears like a dream, looks awesome and feels super comfy. The Expy 39 looked and felt a bit like a dinner plate on my wrist.

I bought a new Explorer 214270 last year and totally love it. It is endlessly satisfying to wear and beautifully made. The bracelet and clasp are wonderful. Love it to bits. Would never buy an Air King or Milguass, they are both just party tricks that get unfunny very quickly. Also you are showing the old Explorer which was cheaper than the $6500 you quote. The new one, my version, has lumed 3-6-9 and bigger hands. It's a beauty.

I too noticed he was showing the older Explorer which isn't as nice as the newer one, the lume on the 3, 6, 9, is a necessity and the shorter minute hand on the older Explorer looks awkward.
