I saw all the 2024 LG variants in-store yesterday and I have to say, the B4 was too dim for HDR, it had no visual impact at all really, could barely tell I was watching HDR. The C4 was much better by comparison, you could tell you were watching HDR but it still didn't look amazing. Only the G4 actually had enough brightness to "wow" me. The G4 has HDR that REALLY pops. Based on how they looked in-store, I would only consider the G4. In a darker room, the C4 "might" be okay, but I'd forget about the B4 if you want good HDR.

Still working the kinks out and thinking I may take it back to get the C4 or S90D for a better HDR impact.

@TechWithKG Can't really decide tbh, the room where I would put it can be darkened quite well, so the brightness wouldn't be an issue, but I'm not sure. For me, the price difference is important, that 80$ difference worth one month of my uni scholarhship.

I've been test driving a 77 inch C4 for a week now and I am disappointed in this TV. It has a green tint to the picture so I don't see true "whites" in any scenes. There's no 3D pop and the colors doesn't pop either.. they're not deep looking.....and I cannot for the life of me cannot get the colors right, no matter how many hours I spend in the service menu either. Then I go and compare it to my 65 inch C1....and I wow-ed by how much better and accurate the picture is on the C1; On the C1, There's that 3D pop, I see whites, deep rich colors.....and it's just a much better picture to look at. I dunno if I won the panel lottery with the C1 I have, but it's that much a vastly better picture than the C4. Yes, the C4 gets brighter and has better image detail.....but that's about it....all the brightness is Useless on the C4 and I'm not maxing it out....which I never watch TVs like that (who does?). I really wanted to like this C4 and I spent many hours trying to get a good accurate picture out of it.....but I can't and I 100% believe that LG used a lesser panel in terms of QUALITY versus the panel I have on my C1......I'm disappointed for sure on the C4 and the C4 will be returned to the store so I test drive the S90D!
I use to have a C1, now I have a G3, and I also notice the absence of the “3D” effect that I use to have on the C1, that deep looking that you refer. I don’t know what LG change on the processors the last years.
my pc is currently runing on a 2018 samsung 49 " 4k TV that only has 60hz refresh. so a LG B4 at 48" with 120hz would be a amssive uplift for my PC , besides i'm only running a 4080 super which doesn;'t quite hit 144 fps when RT is on and stuff mostly want one of these tv's for teh fact they support nvidia G-sync .. so i could get the 70-120 fps my 4080 is getting with RT on in various games at 4k. saddly i won't have 700 bucks ready in time for the best buy sales going on right now , but maybe other sales will come up later.

Could be the settings difference so the store can upsell to the C4?
@@SWilliams655 It's possible I suppose, but I think it probably is just the difference in peak brightness between the low, mid and high range tvs - the big price difference has to be for something, right?..
@@gordonfreeman5958 I mean, the G4 is twice the price of the C4 even on sale. So that's a major consideration that has to be made. The G series are Tier 1 for a reason.
Can you share your settings?🙏🏻
Ok, I got the B4. I’m little disappointed with brightness in Dolby Vision. Overall the TV gets bright enough for normal content. The only work around I’ve found was forcing 4K HDR on the Apple TV with Cinema Home on as the HDR is much brighter than Dolby Vision. Still working the kinks out and thinking I may take it back to get the C4 or S90D for a better HDR impact.
I have to do the same thing use my Xbox to get rid of Dolby vision..it makes all my TV's much worse.. Mini led.. Samsung TCL LG it doesn't matter.. Dolby vision in my opinion when streaming is terrible...disc (blu or 4k) totally different
Waiting for Black Friday Im so getting the B4
Which size?
83 inches
$2499 is the Black Friday price
@@alexpeets7118 Me too. Costco... a9AI processor, 6e wifi, 5 year coverage, up to 144Gz. Yes, the BF costs have been mailed out if the price drops more for B Friday I will just get a price adjustment. Might take me a week but I ain't doin a R&R just to get some money back lol
I just noticed on my G3 that I have a Filmmaker mode picture option on Dolby Vision Content. What's up with that? Is that new? Also they took away cinema and just left cinema home. But what surprised me was the Filmmaker mode dolby vision option.
It’s just a cinema rename it’s the same mode as previous models
@TechWithKG oh I see, I don't know why they would make an article trying to make it seem like a big deal then. Fake news I guess lol. The article stated:
"LG OLED TVs are getting a Dolby Vision Filmmaker Mode - here’s why it’s a big deal
LG's 2024 OLED TVs will be the first"
So, which one do you recommend, 55B4 or 55C3? The C3 is 1060$ and the B4 is 980$. I would use it 50/50 for streaming and gaming.
It’s so close so id say just consider the design differences and maybe base it off of that. C3 will lose color brightness in game mode though.
@TechWithKG Can't really decide tbh, the room where I would put it can be darkened quite well, so the brightness wouldn't be an issue, but I'm not sure.
For me, the price difference is important, that 80$ difference worth one month of my uni scholarhship.
Go for B4 in that case
@@TechWithKG Alright, thank you very much, the only thing I'm afraid of, is that green tint I read about both for C4 and B4.
My living room is quite wide
Should i get 65inch G3 or B4 ?
G3
LG OLED65B49LA or LG OLED65C43LA? 1200 or 1300 euro? Can't decide...
Is b4 use wbc or wbe panel type?
Would you buy the C3 over the B4 at the same price?
It depends if gaming no I would get the B4 if you aren't gaming at all get the C3.
Thanks man. Best Buy just dropped the B4 in price another 200. On sale for 1999.00 and the C3 for 2199.00. . I mostly play on PC but I'd connect my PC to the LG for some fun. With the extra price drop on the B4 thought that has me thinking B4 now all the way.
@@markanthony5531 probably not because even though the B4 is the lesser model it’s still 2024 so I would likely think it’s slightly better.
On my brand new LG C4 the B4 looks great but is it just because of the better TV?
Lol
Lol
S90C 65” $1499 vs C4 65” $1599 My use case is streaming low bit rate content, sports, Movies and occasional gaming. I’m curious to your opinion on the better buy in this scenario as I’m about to get my first Oled and looking hard at these 2
Pretty similar in most of those applications except for gaming, I think S90D is a big improvement over the C4 for gaming. With the other things you mentioned both are great, I give the edge to QD OLED, better chance at clean panel and color brightness is better.
@@TechWithKG The Samsung qd-oled panel at the s90d have less potential to burn-in then the LG woled panel in the B4 or the C4?
@@יובלכהן-ד9ח According to Rtings, WOLED is less susceptible to burn-in.
699.00 on best buy for 48"
yup great deal!
Hi KG, I enjoy your videos. I want to get an 83" to 85" tv for 2500 budget. I watch 80% dish satellite, 20% prime video. Is there any tv you would recommend to me? Thanks, Jim
Thank you. In this size and budget your only OLED would be S90C 83” at $2599 for LCDs the 85” Hisense UX is pretty good for $1999 looking at prices and what’s available that be my LCD pick while S90C is the OLED pick.
Thank you
Currently B4 is $1499 and so is the C4 for a 65" has the B4 been on sale for less?
best buy currently has a 48 " B4 on sale for $699 and the C4 is on sale for $1099
48" inch Oled B4 $799 Best Buy
Yeah thats a good deal
I picked it up from Best Buy a month ago for $749. It may go back down to that price at some point. I’ve been really impressed with it.
It's $699 at Best Buy now thru Oct 10th. The one near me has an open box one that's listed as excellent quality for a mind-boggling $605!! 😮
@@claytonerickson11it’s 3:30am here in Cali and I just purchased the 48inch. Can’t wait to get off work and pick her up. Hope she fits in my Mustang 😂
@@joeybruh916 I pulled the trigger on the open box for $605. I didn't notice the Best Buy it's at is 80 mi from me but shipping was free and it's arriving tomorrow!
I love that Best Buy and others have finally started pricing wars with Amazon when they have Prime sales nowadays. This is an absolutely crazy deal for this TV.
Sky on s90d looking more accurate to my eyes .
The S90D has terrible motion processing on 24p content.
I don't know what motion processing is .
C1 is a much better tv so no surprises there. Lg has peaked with c1 and it has been downhill from there.
I use to have a C1, now I have a G3, and I also notice the absence of the “3D” effect that I use to have on the C1, that deep looking that you refer. I don’t know what LG change on the processors the last years.
My c4 has no green tint and shits all over my c1. Something is wrong.
@@yaroslavchernyshov3725c1 was not a better tv lmfao
How’d you like the s90D?
my pc is currently runing on a 2018 samsung 49 " 4k TV that only has 60hz refresh. so a LG B4 at 48" with 120hz would be a amssive uplift for my PC , besides i'm only running a 4080 super which doesn;'t quite hit 144 fps when RT is on and stuff mostly want one of these tv's for teh fact they support nvidia G-sync .. so i could get the 70-120 fps my 4080 is getting with RT on in various games at 4k. saddly i won't have 700 bucks ready in time for the best buy sales going on right now , but maybe other sales will come up later.
So no get the the LG c4 people it's brighter and has more processing power than the B4 does. The B4 is great for people on a budget but if you can afford it I definitely recommend the LG C4
Hm, B4 or C3?
If you can still find stock, the C3 all day long. It's got the same CPU as the C4. The B4 still has the old processor from the B3.
When u compare it to Lg g2 is still g2 better choice ?
Yes
@@TechWithKG thanks cause i bought it like a month ago 😃
There are 2 versions in UK B42LA and b46la the only difference I can see is a 30% price difference and when I contacted lg to ask them they couldn't tell me the difference and told me to get the B46LA to guarantee a better experience 🤔🤪
Probably has a different processor chip or something, idk...

Did you see the green tint on the B4 which the C4 has?
Didn’t see this on my B4 but I had seen some people have had C4 without this issue as well its a panel lottery
@TechWithKG Good to know. So in your opinion B4 actually has some advantages over the C series? Thats interesting, since it has theoretically inferior processor.
There’s some slight advantages C4 is definitely brighter in HDR video content though.
@@TechWithKG Maybe I'll sound unorthodox but I dont really care about brightness.

In Germany it was for a few hours in a market for 1350 euros the 65'' size . Just insane Price !!!
I tried listening to this review but the way you present information is too repetitive. You don't need to rephrase the same points 3 times. I can't finish it.

Need your help KG. 83" B4 for $2,250 or 77" S90D for $1,800? Use case is movies and console gaming in dark basement.
How far are you sitting?
@TechWithKG 9 feet
@TechWithKG 9 feet.
You can certainly make the case for both 9 feet does feel a bit far away, maybe this is a case where going 83” B4 could make a lot of sense. If you’re okay with losing out on some HDR impact for more size.
Europe is getting a Hisense OLED for much cheaper
whats the response time on this?
Super fast like other LG oled
Ok to buy b4 77 inch or c4 65 inch? I play on playstation 5 and watching movie on blu ray 4k

Most people won’t even know the difference between HDR 10 and Dolby Vision because in most cases there hardly is a difference, you’re going to realize it still looks good. If DV isn’t available there an HDR 10 version is played btw.
