Same here too. Cross shopping these 2 at the moment and was looking into the same topic last night. Thanks for the amazing review. Where I am located the B4 is almost 1000$ less than a same size C4. So the B4 now looks very attractive. Also it definitely looks better than the B3 from last year.
the B4 pairs great with the Retrotink 4K as well, if anyone is wondering! Once I set the TV to my liking, I plugged in my RetroTINK which had been paired with a Vizio LCD since it's birth, and all I needed to do was usually apply auto gain and perhaps adjust the strength of the masks or scanlines I had apllied... other than that, it was nearly set and forget! A great upgrade to, it allows the scanlines to be much harsher than a regular screen due to the vibrant colors and deep blacks! You won't regret it! Nearly no input or refresh lag either!
I ended up going for 65C4 from Sam's Club to upgrade from an 55C9 in master bedroom. The 65C4 was close to the same price I paid for the 55C9 back in 2020. Improvement in every category compared to the older C9. Zero issues swapping out Sonos soundbar. connecting Xfinity cable box with same remote, and reusing the same articulating wall mount. Moved the 55C9 into a spare bedroom. I also have a 77C1 (Main), 55C1 (office), and 48C2 (TV/PC monitor 2nd office) in other rooms.

I was debating between the 3. The most I've spent on a new TV was $600, so this was a big jump for me. I ended up choosing the LG B4 83", because of it only being $300 for the bigger screen size, and also having the A9 Processor which is also used in the C4. First OLED tv that I've owned, and I probably won't unbox it until I have more time Thanksgiving weekend. Hopefully I made the right choice! :)
Just got a C4 a few days ago. I would've been willing to get a B4 if they had made it in a 42" size, as I use the TV on my desk as a monitor. I personally think LG should offer all three of the OLED offerings in their main lineup in a 42" and 48" size.
I’m literally choosing between two right now… C4 42inches and B4 48inches.. those are the only sizes that can fit in my small apartment & available in our country. They are similar in price but I feel like the larger screen looks more gorgeous 😅 But then again, the C4 has a better processor & probably screen quality so might regret it in the long run since I’ll be mainly using it to watch Netflix & play PS5. 😅
I am looking to get a new tv and I can get a great deal on a C4 right now but I can't get over the green tint people are saying. I can't hep but think the 28 degree angle in which it starts to come into effect is a very small angle. That is like a three seat couch and being on either side. Who always sits in the center? Who doesn't love the corners of the couch which to arm rest on? I am totally at a loss how this is acceptable. Maybe I have this all wrong and please correct me if I am wrong. I don't want green tint nor do I think my guests would. Help please... Update - I went to Best Buy to see if I could see the green tint for myself. I was looking at the 65 inch. I looked from all angles back and forth multiple times. I saw no green tint at all. There was a B4 same size and that one I could see the yellows turn green form an and angle near looking across the screen screen from the side. I looked at the S90D as well and I have to say that is a damn good looking tv. In my opinion the color and brightness blew the C4 out of the water! it almost looks 3D in some scenes. Crazy beautiful... The G4 looked great too but for the price the S90D is my pick by far.
Just got a 55in C4 (switching from a QN90A), loving it, although learning how to properly set it to where I truly want it is challenging, lol. Still, thanks for this, it proves to me I made the right choice.
@Tavayneparkins A little, but only because I had to get used to it. It's not as bright as the qn90a but it's picture and motion quality is miles better.

The B4 doesn't come in less than 48" in size, so it automatically was a no go for me. Was looking for an OLED TV to replace my desktop PC monitor and also wanted to use it for console gaming. Ended up picking up the 42" C4 a few days ago and have been really impressed with it so far. Still need to dial in all the settings, but even with just a few tweaks it's been outstanding. Also got it at Black Friday pricing, so it was a pretty good deal, I feel.
Curently have an LG oled 55 inch for a couple of years (C1) and wanting to upgrade to 77 inch since I'm moving in a new appartement. Was looking for that specific comparison ! Nice. Very professional. right to the point. Love it ! Seems to me I'll go for the B4 since I do play and watch movies. The enormous price bump from G4 to C4 is so big It doesn't seems to be worth it (well except if you have tons of money to burn). 1700€-ish vs almost 3000€.
Would love to see how the LG B4 48in stacks up against the S90d 48in WOLED version, if the brightness etc.. is still better for Samsung when not a QOLED.
I bought the C4 48” yesterday. I could have bought the B4 48” for $200 less at Best Buy. I opted for the brighter HD picture. I’m pretty blown away by the tv but now wonder if I should have saved the money 😅
i also did the same, The showroom in my area does not have oled tv in display, and i think i have never seen an OLED display . Only seen on youtube reviews on my 600$ work laptop. I went all out in my situation extended budget twice the initial budget for getting good tv for myself and ended up buying c4 55 inches. now hoping it would do ateast required thing great that is movies and series and anime. also wondering if b4 was really that far behind since i didnt think much about it
Great review!! I’m in the market for a new tv with all the Black Friday prices going on. I have an old 2016 LG 65UH6030. The Sony X90L pricing caught my eye for an 85”. But then a lot of reviews were saying the Bravia 7 was a worthwhile upgrade, and then I was pulled into looking at the LG C4 and the LG B4. As you can see my pricing has started creeping up from my initial $1,799 target price. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions? I figure anything will be better than my 65UH6030 IPS panel, but at least the viewing angels are good 😅
For me it is hard to tell the difference. An easy to find test video of yours would be nice where you also explain on what to pay attention it. So I can play it in the store on chosen tv and find out if that is the device for me.

The game mode loss of brightness is weird. I remember how bad it was on my c7 back in the day but I assumed they did that on purpose to reduce burn in risk when gaming. Why they've limited brightness on the c4 is strange and incredibly frustrating for anyone who bought that tv
The rear facing eArc port in the B4 is a deal breaker for me, and anyone who's going to use a wall mount. You cannot use a soundbar with it. TVs at even half the price don't have such a faulty design. Shame, because I planned to pick that, till I saw your review...
@@R1CHARD82. mm not for me. Less options, less reliable cables, things might not fit... And the other ports might be problematic as well - LAN for example, which I also plan to use
The more and more I think about it, I think I am going to go with the B4 over the C4. The price difference right now is $800. I personally don't think the C4 is worth an extra $800. The only thing holding me back is trying to future proof. I have a Series X and a PS5 right now and I don't know if the next gen consoles will support 144hz or not. If they do then I want the C4.
Not really sure if this makes a difference for your purchase but yes the next console generation will most definitely use 144hz with 4k. 8k is completely useless so the only thing next to things next raytracing that companies can use for advertising will be the performance. I highly doubt it will be important though aside from competitive games as most people will probably prefer a performance mode with 120hz and superior raytracing.

Thank you for the excellent review! I'm really curious about the 48 inch version of each of these TVs - the B4, C4, and S 90. Especially because it seems like the Samsung in this size uses a WOLED panel? So I would be curious, which one would be best for computer monitor/computer gaming use.
Costco versions of the LG have wifi 6e where the best buy versions only have wifi 5. All samsung models apparently only have wifi 5. It makes a huge difference especially with numerous wifi devices used at the same time in the house. wifi 6e is like 3x faster than wifi 5. It's a big trade off especially now that wifi 7 is available.
Coming from a non-oled tv, I feel for casual gaming, anime, and general streaming I probably wouldn't notice any difference at all? Leaning more towards the B4 to save a little money, but still on the fence!
Considering I mainly watch and play my content in a bedroom with the blinds closed and with the ceiling light at 20% brightness. Would I be better off getting the B4 that way I can save some money?
When you can get an LG B4 48" for 599 and a C4 for 999.....add tax..and the B4 starts looking pretty decent. That's about a 435 dollar savings. Unless LG does the 42" and 48" crap panel and processor thing they did for the C2 and I believe the C3.
When you get the LG OLEDs with the gun metal pedestal base to test, are you regularly able to get the screws in to the base and the stand? I'm on my 2nd base for my C3. First base that came with the TV, the stand didn't sit flush level in the base meaning the screw holes didn't match up correctly (the screws don't strictly need to be put in) and the TV was slightly wonky. 2nd base, the stand fits flush in the base, but the screws won't tighten past half way. Reading online, this seems to be a common problem with LG OLEDs going back years. Has LG ever been made aware of this?
@@jivebunny3765 I suggest you watch a TH-cam video demonstrating how to assemble the stand. You’re evidently doing something wrong. I can see a defect in one case but two times tells me you’re doing something wrong.
If I use the TV mainly to watch films, sports, etc and occasionally play on my PS5 with it, is it worth getting the C4 for extra money? I work Monday to Friday so the only time I'll use it would be evenings and weekends

The G4 looked great too but for the price the S90D is my pick by far.
Bonjour le b4 à également une teinte verte comme le c4?
Anotha great review Abby. These 2 TVS are very close in specifications. B4 is definitely a value for the money mid range OLED TV.😊
The reflection was the game changer for me and why I went with C4
Just got a 55in C4 (switching from a QN90A), loving it, although learning how to properly set it to where I truly want it is challenging, lol. Still, thanks for this, it proves to me I made the right choice.
Then you should watch my ”Your LG C4 OLED settings are DEAD WRONG!?” video, you will thank me later 😎👍
I have the qn90a now is the brightness disparity jarring?
@Tavayneparkins A little, but only because I had to get used to it. It's not as bright as the qn90a but it's picture and motion quality is miles better.
Does anyone know if the issue of losing brightness and colors on the C4 when activating game mode was solved by an update??? . I want to buy one for this Black Friday but I can't decide because of this same problem that the TV has. Greetings
Hey Abby, how about a 42" C4 vs 42" S9OD review ? Or maybe even an S90D WOLED review ?
Again, great review, Abby!
B4 does not have 42" option, so that automatically removes B4 as an option if I want to buy it as a not-so-huge monitor replacement.
Be big or go home. Get that 48inch & it’s only 799 right now the 48 inch B4
@@BurkJordan69 Now the 48" B4 is only 650 on best buy lol
How is the B4 TV from a angle? Is the green tint really noticeable?
Would love to see how the LG B4 48in stacks up against the S90d 48in WOLED version, if the brightness etc.. is still better for Samsung when not a QOLED.
Do not buy Samsung! I had the S90D and had to return it. The motion has issues and I also had problems with auto brightness.
isn't worth the difference in price honestly. The lg is more consumer friendly. 😉 💰
I bought the C4 48” yesterday. I could have bought the B4 48” for $200 less at Best Buy. I opted for the brighter HD picture. I’m pretty blown away by the tv but now wonder if I should have saved the money 😅
Then you should watch my ”Your LG C4 OLED settings are DEAD WRONG!?” video, you will thank me later 😎👍
i also did the same, The showroom in my area does not have oled tv in display, and i think i have never seen an OLED display . Only seen on youtube reviews on my 600$ work laptop. I went all out in my situation extended budget twice the initial budget for getting good tv for myself and ended up buying c4 55 inches. now hoping it would do ateast required thing great that is movies and series and anime. also wondering if b4 was really that far behind since i didnt think much about it
@@mindbuster121431 nice 😎
I just bought 55 inch b4 for less than 1000 eur in netherlands, oled less than a grand here? verry hard, even in monitor class. i'm impressed.
I've got mine for 799€ here in Spain, with a LG SQC2 sound bar as a gift.
@@mocosoftdonde? :)
Is the B4 better than the C1? Im thinking of upgrading my C1 but i dont know which tv to get.
What would be a big difference with 24 hz?
Great review!! I’m in the market for a new tv with all the Black Friday prices going on. I have an old 2016 LG 65UH6030. The Sony X90L pricing caught my eye for an 85”. But then a lot of reviews were saying the Bravia 7 was a worthwhile upgrade, and then I was pulled into looking at the LG C4 and the LG B4. As you can see my pricing has started creeping up from my initial $1,799 target price. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions? I figure anything will be better than my 65UH6030 IPS panel, but at least the viewing angels are good 😅
The perfect review comparison Thank you!!!
Really good this review . I will go for the B4 because it is not worth the extra money. Have a nice day .
For me it is hard to tell the difference.
An easy to find test video of yours would be nice where you also explain on what to pay attention it.
So I can play it in the store on chosen tv and find out if that is the device for me.
Brightness difference was significant for me. B4 was barely bright enough. C4 was perfect brightness.
Curious, what content comes to us as HDR? I use a firestick for streaming and DirectTv app on the firestick for normal TV.
When is the Panasonic tv reviews?
They're currently undergoing testing! Unfortunately the W95A came in damaged :( Look at our community page to see what we mean 😅

Yes you can,
Just buy a hdmi cable with an angle 😉😊
@@R1CHARD82. mm not for me. Less options, less reliable cables, things might not fit... And the other ports might be problematic as well - LAN for example, which I also plan to use
Are you saying b4 doesn't have earc port?
@@athiffaraz3117 no that is not what i mean 🙂
How bad could the green tint be on the C4 if you didn’t even notice it as a reason to go with B4?
افضل موقع دايم اعتمد عليهم فعلا بعد تقييمهم اخذت b4 لكن ما انسى شاشتي A80j الي انكسرت 💔
Yeah B4 is great but the brightness difference is real. 600 nits to 1000.
More than 144hz it’s the brightness difference which would be noticeable IMO
The 83” B4 has the same processor as the C4 so with the 83” models the tvs should almost be identical
I noticed that too when I was shopping on LG's website; at least the 83" version
A very interesting comparison, thank you. :)
Are t speakers the big important difference too ?
If you care about audio at all you should get an external speaker set up regardless of any TV.
@@johnb4905 meh. I don't listen very loud since I live in an apartment. tbh my lg c1 48" sounds great on cinema setitng with all ai crap disabled. Almost as good as presonus e3.5 speakeras I have
Thanks Abby, very helpful.
If the C4 is dimmer in game mode, can you still game outside of game mode at 120hz with a brighter output?
Bought this TV today. Great TV and it's plenty bright enough for my (quite dark) room. The panel is bright
However looking at recommend picture settings in filmmaker pro. This just looks really dark and washed out for an Oled
The green tint thing is really making me not want to buy any of these. Does anyone know if the green tint is noticeable?
Some people notice it more, some less, just like with smearing, blur, overshoot/inverse ghosting.
Hi guys, you should update old written reviews that still say the PS5 doesn't support 1440p, like the QN90A, IIRC. Even changing it to "not checked" would be better and well, not a "lie" 😁😁 cheers!
much prefer the stand on the C4. You need a super large tv stand for the B4.
Bingo!
Could the big difference in brightness be because b4 is not evo panel ?
Yeah well we know the C4 has a buggy game mode, but we also know the screen is brighter, when you simply don't use game mode. Is the same true for the B4?
Does anyone know if the issue of losing brightness and colors on the C4 when activating game mode was solved by an update??? . I want to buy one for this Black Friday but I can't decide because of this same problem that the TV has. Greetings
Thank you for the excellent review! I'm really curious about the 48 inch version of each of these TVs - the B4, C4, and S 90. Especially because it seems like the Samsung in this size uses a WOLED panel? So I would be curious, which one would be best for computer monitor/computer gaming use.
I haven't been in touch with TV for some time, 4k 120Hz 4:4:4 isn't a thing yet? disappointing!
What mic do you use while doing the reviews? Sounds so crisp!
So it’s just LG software holding back the Game mode brightness on the C4? Not that I have a problem with it but..
Purchased a B4 and it came with the A9 processor, not an A8 processor mentioned in this review.
How
Let me guess, you got the 83 Inch ?
Can we get this review again but between the B4 and C4, both in 83 Inch?
Same ordered one at costco they have A9 and Wifi 6E
Price difference right now comes down to B4 being $1599 for a 77 inch. S90D 65 inch for $1499. Which would you chose? Bigger better?
Where are you finding the 77 inch for 1600?!
It's pretty big savings for me. 599 vs 999 for the 48 inch. I can live with 24hz downground.
Costco versions of the LG have wifi 6e where the best buy versions only have wifi 5. All samsung models apparently only have wifi 5. It makes a huge difference especially with numerous wifi devices used at the same time in the house. wifi 6e is like 3x faster than wifi 5. It's a big trade off especially now that wifi 7 is available.
there is a $500 difference between B4 vs C4 and B4 vs S90. I went for B4 because I don't want HDR high def movies.
Is the C4 Game Mode brightness issue a bug potentially?
In my country the B4 and C4 55" price is around 550 USD. Which one should i get that i like to watch movie and play PS5 on it
Coming from a non-oled tv, I feel for casual gaming, anime, and general streaming I probably wouldn't notice any difference at all? Leaning more towards the B4 to save a little money, but still on the fence!
You got a few more hours. It wont be 599 tomorrow.
@@thelightahead4810 ?
@@xSirFC if you're thinking of the 48 inch that's 600 at best buy, the sale ends shortly.
Do they share the same panel?
It's surprisingly also sold at a surprisingly similar price
What's the best cloth to clean LG 4k oled tvs ?
I love these comparison videos. Thanks Cedric.
LG website shows the same processor for B4 and C4 and also 144Hz for both
only for the 83'' i though...
LG B4 48 is only $650 on Best Buy. $350 cheaper than the LG C4 48 inch.
I saw that, it's a great deal that I considered but honestly 48" is just too small for a TV, and also too large for a monitor.
Are these tests done before or after calibration?
Thanks for also bringing up the Samsung 😊
Considering I mainly watch and play my content in a bedroom with the blinds closed and with the ceiling light at 20% brightness. Would I be better off getting the B4 that way I can save some money?
I got vizio mqx 120hz qled and looking for a mind blowing upgrade wonder if b4 is that?
What is the difference between b46la and b42la?
is samsung S90D 42'' WOLED better than B4 and C4?
When you can get an LG B4 48" for 599 and a C4 for 999.....add tax..and the B4 starts looking pretty decent. That's about a 435 dollar savings. Unless LG does the 42" and 48" crap panel and processor thing they did for the C2 and I believe the C3.
Perfect review. Exactly what we need. I like the third option
Hi can you review the LG 55 inch QNED 80TSA 2024 i have plans to buy this tv?
When you get the LG OLEDs with the gun metal pedestal base to test, are you regularly able to get the screws in to the base and the stand? I'm on my 2nd base for my C3. First base that came with the TV, the stand didn't sit flush level in the base meaning the screw holes didn't match up correctly (the screws don't strictly need to be put in) and the TV was slightly wonky. 2nd base, the stand fits flush in the base, but the screws won't tighten past half way. Reading online, this seems to be a common problem with LG OLEDs going back years. Has LG ever been made aware of this?
Sounds like you’re doing something wrong. I assembled a number of C3/C4 stands and never had an issue.
@@johnb4905 The illustrations are borderline gibberish, but I think I know how to put screws in holes.
@@jivebunny3765 I suggest you watch a TH-cam video demonstrating how to assemble the stand. You’re evidently doing something wrong. I can see a defect in one case but two times tells me you’re doing something wrong.
@@johnb4905 Watched demo videos.
You guys didn’t mention the difference in sound quality of the built-in speakers.
What’s size tv were you comparing on the b4 vs the c4
If I use the TV mainly to watch films, sports, etc and occasionally play on my PS5 with it, is it worth getting the C4 for extra money? I work Monday to Friday so the only time I'll use it would be evenings and weekends
I would say no, unless your room is pretty brightly lit when you are watching or gaming in HDR.
so i bought the b4 cause of this review and others and its so crazy to me how none of you guys talked about the bad grainy look the tv has on some stuff like the ps5 menu. theres even a couple forms talking about this they say its called dithering. what ever it is it makes the tv look bad with out having noise reduction on. but having noise redection on also makes it look bad. im returing my tv no one one should by a lg oled till they fix this
In my country prices of OLEDs are so pumped up that B4 and C4 are in 100 USD difference 😂
77" B4 or 65" G4... please help....
Does anyone know if the issue of losing brightness and colors on the C4 when activating game mode was solved by an update??? . I want to buy one for this Black Friday but I can't decide because of this same problem that the TV has. Greetings
No idea mate, bought a B4 as it was 719€ compared to 1099€ for the c4
@GunzBlazing94 Thank you very much for answering me, in the end I am between C4 and Samsung S90D. All the best
Iv got a C1 in the family room for Films and gaming. Myself and my wife are looking for a bedroom screen that will be used just for film and streaming. Can anyone tell me if the b4 is ok? And how would it compare to my c1
No idea why rtings continue to constantly hail S90D without mentioning it still suffers from very questionable build quality and panel lottery at all but US regions.
If you are not in NA - your S90D will likely be pricier AND likely be WOLED.
Does anyone know how bright the B4 is compared to the C2? I had the C2 and it was bright enough, if I get the B4 I'd want to know it's not going to be dimmer.
It's only dimmer with HDR. For SDR and game mode there is almost no difference.
They have this c4 55inch brand new for 1074 plus tax should I get it is that a good deal ???
Can you please compare between Sont Bravia 7 and Samsung s90c, I know one is mini led and other is lord but which one should buy if best bang for the buck is the criteria. Thanks
