Really interesting. Would be really cool if they start to innovate the YZ, especially with Cody Webb on one now....I had my stator rewound for more output by Rickystator on my KTM XC, not sure it could be done for the YZ but that would be another alternative for more output.
My tea is orange. (Mostly because they what I already own). So not my cup of tea. Still love to see Morgan excited and love to see ANY manufacturer dipping more toes into our sport.
Here are the part numbers from the transcript-flywheel is B7R01333Z & stator is BAK033YT. Tried to find them, no luck. However, the flywheel sure looks like a Yamaha 4T flywheel, namely a GYTR for a WR450F that I found online, SKU: 1SL-H13A0-V0-00. There is also a WR250F GYRT heavy flywheel SKU: BMF-G13A0-V0-00 that looks similar too. Hope that this helps!
Talked to the guy that’s building Cody Webb’s 250x a couple weeks ago and it sounds like GYTR has something in the works for a magic button as well as a new powervalve that makes the YZ feel more ehh… Austrian…
It be really cool to see Cody Webb ride it and get his opinion also seeing this bike compete a king of motos I live close by if you ever want to come down
Seems promising….I really hope the Japanese get on this enduro bike band wagon. I’d buy a yz300 or a cr300 in a heartbeat. Keep the carb or put fuel injection on it, I don’t care. Mechanical or electronic power valve, don’t matter. If they’d just put a start button on it, a hydraulic clutch, a fan, some lights, hand guards, skid plate they’d be flying off the showroom floor.
@@davidbeauvais1364 i think thas really big move from yamaha... You can buy yz 250x or yz250 and then is like lego you can build it just the way you like... you ride motocross maybe you want to put hydro clutch but dont care about starter... You ride coutry cross or single track you but bigger tank fan and light... You ride hard enduro no problem e start kit tank ligh clutch etc... And if its going to be all GYTR brand from yamaha you 100% gonna know that its going to fit and its going to work...
This is the time for Fantic and Yamaha because of the Orange domination for so long and now the start of the fall. There was a guy on youtube saying there has been talk of a 300cc Yamaha being developed.
That is awesome to see that stator/flywheel in there. I have been thinking about seeing what it would take to get the WR450f flywheel and stator in a YZ250x
Yamaha had a facotry in Europe they used to modify the bikes to be "street legal". Also Yamaha owned Motori Minarelli until 2020 - they sold it and Fantic acquired it. Quite a lot of engine development for Yamaha was done there in cooperation with the Japanese branch. So not surprised to see the stator having a Yamaha logo on it. Bet most parts in the engine can be found on other Yamaha models. The starter motor is most likely a Mitsuba SM-18 that thing is used by every manufacturer.
This is a WR 250F coil and Flywheel. The coil charges the battery and the pulse coil triggers the spark ‘ . The battery runs the ignition and starter and fuel pump !
Sounds like Yamaha has a lot of involvement in that engine set up, good news for YZ owners, makes you wonder why Yamaha didn't make the plunge before ?.
Are the engine mount locations on the XE300 the same as a YZ250 or XX250? In pictures I've seen they looked a little different but I couldn't tell for sure. If the engine mounts are the same that's very interesting as the frame and top engine mount part numbers between the XE 300 and XX 250 are different.
U got to get renthal 7/8 or twin wall bars plus fmf 2.1 titanium silencer and a factory fatty or gnarly pipe for bike with a works connection skid plate and boyesen rad valve
What does Minarelli actually do? Do they just develop and design? How many of these parts are actually built by Yamaha? I have a feeling that yamaha is actually making most of the parts and Minnarelli is just developing/testing/assembling. Maybe it is a way to dip there toes in the market without too much investment.
Some potential advantages over ktm. 1. lower price. comparable F models are $2k cheaper 2. Yamaha parts are less expensive. 3. No additional cost to map tunes and can tune on the fly. 4. yamaha reliability Potential Disadvantages: 1. unless they make a soft enduro kyb, it's often too firm for hard enduro and the average rider. 2. would need a heavier flywheel to cut down on the inital power unless they built that in the tune via ecu, pipe or head. Could be way off base but seems like KTM got a little drunk on their own brew. Between an inventory of almost 270,000 bikes, bankruptcy and new competition they are gonna need the loyal fan base to step up anf buy and/or sharpen the pencil on customer pricing.
I had an electric start, counterbalanced, electronic power valved, oil injected, wide ratio yamaha 2 stroke back in 2002, so we know they can do it lol
Start the bike put a voltmeter and then put an amp meter on it and drive it all the way out and hook it to the positive side of the battery and find out how many amps it puts out and do a load test on it that'll tell you how many amps it puts out very simple have a nice day thank you Jesus
Keep going with updates ...the world depends on it
Merry Christmas 🎄 ... You're so pumped up, its like you got the best present in the whole dirt bike world 🤣 Now I have to go watch this Fantic lug ...

that looks like a wr450 (it was a 2021 wr 450) rotor i found on ebay images. thank you for showing us everything !

and they would b north of 10 grand
@ yeah, 4 grand less than the pumpkins
naw, I like electric power valves over mechanical power valves. Have had both
Will that ever happen? I hope so seems like 300s are the superior woods bike all over the world
You can scratch Honda off that list unfortunately. They wrote the 2 stroke off with no desire of going back.
GYTR has an e start kit for the yz 250 they are doing final testing in January
That’s the way to go offer us a way to make it like that ourselves while keeping base model cheap

Dealer in Springfield il has had one for awhile.

Question is will Yamaha like have a YZ200X possibly --- with a 6 speed and lighting coil would be one world AMAZING!
Early release 2026 yz300x. STAMP IT
What is the OUTPUT of the stator on that one? Design on that one looks GREAT!
Don’t know yet
Minareli is Yamaha owned partly, and Minareli constructs Yamaha engines and parts.Yamaha T7 engine is Minareli.
Hey Morgan, do you think you'll get into road motorcycles at some point there in WestCO?
I’m not grown up enough for that. Last one I had landed me in jail for a night.
@@highlandcycles Huh. Just a little too addicted to the throttle eh?

They look the same but it’s hard to tell 100%
How's that trans gear spacing in comparison to the yz
About the same as an X. 3rd is a little taller
@highlandcycles nice, I never liked the huge 3-4 spacing, although I do appreciate having the higher ratios.
@ yeah. I rode it today and the transmission feels good
I wish they’d have put a lower 1st and 2nd gear. While I would prefer a 6-speed, I could live with a true wide-ratio 5-speed.
@@siaknijustin i always liked the yz1st with a 50t rear.

Why a works connection skid? Its not an MX bike. I'd be bugging SXS to make one if they don't already make one for the X
🤘🤘
Unusual they place the rear axle opposite from the yz250 w the nut on the left side.
That’s for the weird lock that came on it. I fixed it.

Just start it and pull the battery cable off
Duh. Definitely need to do that. I feel silly for not thinking of that
