    Great video again! Lost some time trying to find the bolt for line support on the lower driver side. My 2012 rubicon doesn't have one.

    I ordered a new radiator from autozone and it was missing the mounting boss for the trans mount. I had them order 4 radiator and none were correct. Glad you got a good one from TYC.

    Aw man, a lot more daunting and intimidating than I had assumed from other radiator videos. 2015 JKU Sahara has been visibly leaking coolant. I just got back inside from removing the coolant reservoir tank to inspect for cracks and unfortunately it wasn’t that easy. I’m not sure what signs say it’s the head gasket, but I do have a droplet that is hanging out on the bottom corner or possibly bottom radiator hose on the driver’s side, it slowly drips all the across the bottom of the radiator, and there’s dry coolant on the side of the top hose closest to the reservoir tank. I really want to learn how to care for my Jeep, but this might be a professional job in my case.

      Sorry if I made it seem daunting. I tried to show all the steps I went through. Sometimes looking at a project as a whole seems overwhelming, but if you just look at it in steps, it can look better. Steps 1&2, do this and that… then step 3 do this… Don’t rush, make sure you have plenty of time, get a friend to help, and keep things well organized.

    Nice write up! I just finished putting in a new radiator after the dealer wanted to charge me $1300 in labor. Hardest part was taking the physical radiator out and then putting the new one in. Just take your time and pull all the tubes and hoses aside as you go. Of note... I have a 2012 JKU. There was no 8mm bolt holding the tubing in place on the lower/outer driver's side. The 2 tubes were held in place by plastic push in squeeze type holders? Not sure what they are called. But the new radiator had the same setup as well as a bolt hole for the 8mm just in case I guess.

    Crazy, this is exacly the problem I’m having with my 2014 jku sport. Changed the radiator cap, got a new thermostat and reservoir, even had the bottom hose replaced. Still went through coolant, no visible leaks and afraid to get another pressure test. Might try this next. I really hope it does not end up needing a new head gasket…

    I just found a leak today. It seems to be coming from where the hose and thermostat connect. It seems to be dripping there. I tighten up the clamp but if it keeps leaking do you suggest the hose needs replacing if the thermostat opens up? Thanks and great videos!!

      @@JeepSolid I have a 16, and have had to flush out casting sand from the cooling system, the radiator & Recovery bottle had some in there too@56k miles, thinking of just replacing the water/thermostat and radiator... I've flushed out the heater core really well...

    • @oscarwinner2034
      @oscarwinner2034 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leskobrandon538 All the motors were die cast ( no sand). The coolant from the factory had stop leak added to it. Over time the stop leak builds up in your heater core. Eventually clogging the passages. The long life coolant actually bonds with the metals and it simply won’t flush as you surely found out. You have to replace the heater core and use new non Mopar coolant to get your heater running properly again.

      Same! When I turn the engine off, it takes a few seconds for the loud fan to stop. Thought my coolant tank was cracked, but I just checked it and it’s crack free. I’m wondering if it’s a crack in my radiator or the upper radiator hose. I’m trying to figure out if it’s my head gasket which I hope it’s not, I’m still learning about the specific mechanics of my 2015 JKU
      Sahara.
