The Marine in me was having an OCD episode seeing the condition of those rifles 🤭 I clean every one of my weapons after every range trip. No matter if I shoot 400 rounds or 40.
I use it for cooper it’s not the many or count it’s the speed I have a 7mm and 6.5 I run 110 and 95 through there moving at 3350 3400 on 26” barrels cooper gets to them quick
Free pro tip for lining up gas blocks on AR's. Use a piece of spaghetti noodle that is just small enough to fit into the gas port but not too long that it sticks out of the top. The tighter the fit the better as far as diameter is concerned. Install gas block with the rifle sitting normally, flip the rifle over so the piece of noodle will fall into the gas block when its lined up. Tighten screws down and flip the rifle back over. Use a cleaning rod to break the noodle and both pieces will come out of the barrel on its own. They sell "alignment tools" that are small brittle pieces of plastic that do the same job.
Imagine just how tough it would be in boot camp if your drill instructor/company commander insisted on using one of these to inspect each recruit's rifle.
Dude REALLY!!! You open with that screenshot, I couldnt even get to the video I just kept playing the intro. Of course, I am in CA. we can't have very many fun toys.
you actually don't want to completely remove the copper fouling from the rifling. It acts as a dry lube and reduces the concentric circumference of the barrell and can affect the accuracy. General rule of thumb is if you see you see green/blue on regular cleanings, your over doing it. Great review of the bore scope. The fact it's cost effective and fits .22 caliber and comes with the mirror... very nice.
Lol that is pretty cool 😂 I want to take my own photos of my rifles to track the wear. You should get some Sweets 7.62 for your AK barrel. That stuff is nasty but does an excellent job at copper removal. Learned that from Panhandle Precision, aka Sam. Eric Cortina uses CLR on his F-Class barrel 🤷
Hook your brass cleaning brush or mop and extension onto a drill and Run at slow speed. I not sure if its good for the barrel but it cleans carbon out quick 🤘
