Minor point but the 'bit' is what goes into a horses mouth to steer and stop it. The bridle holds the bit on the horses head. The Point is the bit is a small piece of metal but can control a 1000lb or more animal....little words, like the ones about your collar can do great harm or bring great value.

Ha!!!! I've always heard "words will never hurt me:" Not at all true. This morning I woke up to the whole neighborhood getting papers talking about me. Some were true to a point (court documents are "proof" of the crime). Other things that were mentioned are 100% false. Not even a hint of truth to them. Nothing to back them up. This is really hurtful. I served my time... moved on... started a new life. Now I have people trying to take that away and destroy me once again. I will be having a meeting with my Pastor this coming week about this situation. Please keep me in your prayers and thank you for the studies.

Lord almighty, in agreement with this whole message and james 3:5-10, psalm 19:15, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I loosen myself from being poisoned by someone"s tongue or to poison another with my tongue while binding myself, my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ not to be poisoned or poison others with one's tongue, loosening myself of every unequal yoke and common share with those who poison with the tongue, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

Is James 1:2-3 the scripture verse to memorize today?
I have spoken unkindly, I asked forgiveness, they said they forgave me, but continued to cut just me out of their lives but continue to pursue my daughters.. This is family. I'm having a hard time knowing how to proceed, n then because of their behavior to me (after my apology), I sinned again because I was upset. I have no excuse. I'm asking for Wisdom here so I can move forward.
Maria, good prayer request today. We will pray that God helps you in this area. It's normal to be hurt by unkindness, do t be too hard on yourself....but ask God's help so that you can always respond with Grace. Praying for you! And yes, James 1:2-4 is the memory verse for October.
