Hey man, really awesome to see! Im looking into bike carb converting my 2e engine. But im wondering what this entails for reliability? What is youre experience on this?
Hi sir, im planning in upgrading my carburation but i cant decide what to install, what do you recommend? (My options are weber 45 dcoe, twin fajs 40 dcoe, or cbr600 keihins like you have) i have 280 cam, extractos, about 10.5:1 cr, kelford springs, msd 6al2 ignition, and ported head
Hi Gabriel, it all depends on how much you want to spend and what much custom work you're willing to make. For Webers you have manifolds and kits already done but it's a bit more expensive, for bike carbs you need a custom manifold, linkage, etc... I'm quite happy with how mine performs, but it would be equally great with a set of Webers
@FranciscoSantos-ks7sk I see... thank you so much for your advice, finally I decided on bike carbs, I'm now thinking if I should put cbr900 carbs or cbr600, some say that cbr900 perform the best, some say cbr600 do, what would be the cons of putting 900? Compared to stock the cbr600 how do they feel through the rpm range? I'm at 7500rpm max, would they perform well in those high rpm? Or they are low-mid
Hello sir what is your recommendation I want a new carb on my 4k engine do i use bike carbs or put other carbs Btw i dont have money for weber and just want to make my car faster Thx
Hi Aurora, it all depends on how much you want to spend and what much custom work you're willing to make. For Webers you have manifolds and kits already done but it's a bit more expensive, for bike carbs you need a custom manifold, linkage, etc... I'm quite happy with how mine performs, but it would be equally great with a set of Webers. At the end it's never going to be cheap. If you can have fab work cheap or free I think bike carbs would be the way to go
Hi Emanuel, it's all about the power you're aiming to achieve and the supporting mods. The CBR600 ones are perfectly fine for 120hp which is almost double of the standard 4K engine. It's the same for the jets, it's all about what's been done to the engine and what you're trying to achieve.
I see, what type of supporting mods do you recommend doing to achieve this 120hp? I currently have a stock internal 5k on a ke70 and is looking to do this cbr carb setup.
Cumprimentos
I honestly cannot tell, I either do short trips or I go for fast runs which isnt good for consumption. But I assume it's making around 12L/100, maybe around 10L/100 if I'm careful.
Not too bad 🤷 it's a 1.5L OHV engine with bike CV carbs and doing 10-12L/100k's you've gotta try MPI's with ITB's it has much better performance compared to bike carbs. I've gotta a buddy of mine, he's got a Starlet with this kind of setup. We dynoed it and got 121whp
It was custom made at an exhaust shop, both exhaust manifold and pipe. Manifold was matched to the head ports and then done equal length, it's a 4-2-1. Exhaust pipe is 50mm in diameter and has two silencers
@@BraveMeat considering the stock carb is not good for performance I'm sure you'll find a good improvement. Just be aware that you'll not get the full potential of the carbs because the engine is stock. I would advise to at least increase compression and ligthen the flywheel as those 2 modifications really increase the response of these engines.

sounds and runs good, I did the same thing but now I´m running FCR´s carbs and it´s another level
Yeah, FCR's are fantastic!

Hi was wondering if the performance would be better using cbr900 carbs? And do i need to drill the injectors?

Ahhh i see thanks! Will look more into that.
Boas, mantiveste a bomba mecânica original, ou tens elétrica? Abraço.
Viva, estou a usar a bomba elétrica da própria mota
need more angry cam port and light weight flywheel but if want only to roll and no drift , keep it simple

Outra coisa, também tentei usar um radiador desses finos e grandes mas não resultou, levam pouca água

How’s your idle when your AC is on?
There's was no such thing as AC in our cars hehe
Hey mate what radiator are you using?
Hi, it's a Nissan Primera 2.0GT one.
How much does complete set of these twin webbers cost?
Those are not webers. They are Keihin carbs from a CBR600 Honda bike. They cost me 70€ out of a wrecked bike
Francisco Santos Good to hear it costs that cheap! Looking at those twin dcoe goes around 1000$ made me throw up.
Did you have to re jet them to suit your engine ?
@@nissans13ks1989 He drilled the main jets to 140 (they're 135 standard)
what idle speed are you at when at full stop?
1000/1100rpms, but can go lower no problem
Do you have vacuum advancer port on that carb?
I made a port on one of the runners but I feel like it doesn't work properly due to the carb pulses so I'm just running it with no vacuum advance
