The gorgeous and sultry Linda Fiorentino playing against type in a comedy, when she was mostly known for thrillers (Jade, The Last Seduction). For another comedy with her, check out Dogma once you get into Kevin Smith's films (start with Clerks).
A few cultural references -
The White Album is a famous Beatles record, known as such because of its pure white cover.
Dennis Rodman was a pro basketball player infamous in the 90s for his outrageous style and tabloid antics.

Fun Fact: The sunglasses used by the Men in Black are the Ray-Ban "Predator 2" glasses. After the film's release, Ray-Ban reported that sales of these glasses tripled from $1.6 million to $5 million.
Method Research Fact: Vincent D'Onofrio researched his role as Edgar by watching a lot of bug documentaries. In order to achieve his character's distinctive walk, he put on knee braces so he couldn't bend his legs, and taped up his ankles.
Legendary Jump Fact: When James (Will Smith) jumps from the overpass onto the tour bus, he jumps from Pershing Square Bridge, the same location where Robert Neville (also Smith) is attacked by the demon dogs after the sun goes down in I Am Legend (2007).
D'Onofrio is a hell of an actor, dude goes above and beyond.

Tommy Lee Jones is a great actor. I became a fan after I saw him in The Fugitive, with Harrison Ford. You should check out that movie.

funniest line in the movie for me, also never freeze Milk Duds, they're 90% Caramel so you can easily mess up your teeth trying to chew a cold one, one reason i'm not too fond of them, i prefer Reese's or Whoppers which are malted milk balls coated with chocolate, crunchy and dont get harder from freezing.

2. Tommy Lee Jones' roommate in college was Al Gore. He has said in an interview that he's never had a role he didn't enjoy doing, he also said that he doesn't have a job, just a hobby that pays extremely well. 😎
3. MIB II isn't as good as this one.
4. The "White Album" is from The Beatles. Charlie Manson thought it was speaking to him.

I saw this film on Christmas Day 1997 on VHS and it blew me away!
It's a fun Sci Fi Action Adventure Comedy Film!

I agree, it was so much fun. I actually didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. The make up was incredible!
Great reaction! I've loved this film since I saw it in the cinemas as a teen. Always gives me a lot of nostalgia for the late Nineties (kind of sad nostalgia sometimes thanks to the numerous shots of the World Trade Center in the film.)

Think the part of your reaction video that stuck out in my mind was when Mikey got blown up in the beginning and your mom mode kicked in and you asked "who's cleaning this up" . Wow, talk about flashbacks to when I was a kid 😆

you can get a lot of US 'candy' from the reject shop, including milk duds and peanut butter cups (although you can get those at the supermarket now)

Milk Duds used to be my favorite movie candy. I can't have them anymore because they'll pull the crowns off my teeth. *sigh* Edgar the Bug is my favorite part of this movie. I find it so funny when he's parked in the van outside the jewelry store, trying to 'act casual,' but his human disguise won't cooperate.
Another good reaction to a fun movie. I think you'd enjoy the sequels as well. I wouldn't bother with the newer one that didn't have Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones though.

Yes, watch MIB 2. Other Tommy Lee Jones: Volcano, US Marshals, Space Cowboys, Man of the house (There is one with Jonathon taylor thomas NOT that one. The cover is Tommy Lee Jones with a group of cheerleaders)
Tommy Lee Jones is a great actor. He has several movies that are well wroth watching.

A good Tommy Lee Jones movie is "No Country For Old Men" which won the Oscar for Best Picture. It's so good, i highly recommend

Just watched it, again as a mum, it’s freaking me out but it did look cool and well edited. I loved seeing him cruising along with the flag. Too bad I didn’t see any Christmas lights 😞 x
