He may have patterned his style after somebody else, but he played by his own bodily rhythm instead of being chained around to the rhythms of most other players. I doubt if there are any players in this generation who think like him.

Imagine the intense pressure you get when Nash passes you the ball. It just seems like a waste of effort for Nash to elegantly swoop himself down the court with a beautiful pass only for you to miss the shot.
