@davey boy like you said morocco is not a middle eastern country its a North African country that hold great and various civilizations : amazigh, moorish, arabo-islamic, orientale, jewish, andalucian, western, African .... So this welth of culture make the Moroccan flavor so unique in terme of music and voices especially ! So faouzia's background is not only orientale but Its all a mix of this unique flavor of Moroccan music culture :)

I’m sorry, but I feel that because he doesn’t truly know much about Faouzia and her background, he can’t fully appreciate everything she’s put into this song, from being a pianist herself and writing the chords to adding her own cultural background to the style. And, yes... those notes ARE HIGH, and her abilities should be acknowledged instead of being put in an average light like he did. She’s extraordinary and everyone should know it.

    Faouzia is a 20yo Moroccan -Canadian (?)
She never took any vocal lesson
she writes her songs by herself
    she's a multi-instrumentalist (violin, guitare and piano )
she speaks 3 languages fluently (english, arabic and french) and she still following her engineer studies
She did a song (BATTLE) with David guetta on his ICONIC album 7 when she was 17
She made a song with a famous french rapper called Ninho for his album, the song (MONEY) went platinium
She sang ( I FLY) featuring Galantis for the film SCOOB
She also sang with Kelly Clarkson the arab version of (I DARE YOU)
She made a song (MINEFIELDS) with the one and only JOHN LEGEND
She also droped out an EP of all her stripped songs .. it's amazingly wonderful and mind-blowing.

The only time I listen to pop music is when someone is reacting to it, and that is pretty literally and universally true. Or when Dimash is singing, as he can do anything and it sounds absolutely stellar. I think that of all musical styles, it basically represents the dregs.... However, this woman, like Dimash, gets a pass from me - not meaning that I pass on her skills, quite the opposite. Composition, stellar. Performance, also stellar. She can do whatever she likes and I'm going to be interested, attentive and appreciative. I loved the breath in the middle of "happens." I suspect she did it as a "mistake" the first time but realized that it adds something special to the song and therefore kept it. Do break the rules when it serves a good musical / communicative purpose. I also loved that strange piano chord. So awesome. And the unresolved nature of the ending - another stroke of genius. She takes a genre that I dislike and renders it into something I do like (this particular example of it, anyway) very much for many reasons. Well done!

I love all her songs, it's rare that someone can nail all their songs. You can't go wrong with reacting to her music. I grew up being a big fan of Lara Fabian because she's a powerful singer and storyteller, I find Faouzia does that as well. If you don't know of Loïc Nottet he's another powerhouse, brilliant songwriter, stunning dancer and storyteller. I've recently discovered Typh Barrow also Belgium like Loïc and Lara (though Lara associates herself as also Italian and Canadian). Loïc Million eyes is a good one to check out, impressive dancing in the video, and i love Hurt from Typh Barrow. She's got Amy Winehouse tones.

It’s his original song. I honestly think he is in the top 3 most talented male singers in the word right now. And you won’t be disappointed. He also does a great cover of Tina arena’s ‘chains’ and the live cathedral version of his song ‘miracle love’ is also astounding.

Faouzia's a very good song writer/ singer. How do I know this, because Daneliya Tuleshova has covered this song twice and the song still remains Faouzia's. That rarely happens when Daneliya sings a song. Daneliya covered this song first in a truncated version because it was her audition for AGT 2020. After that she covered it again as a more full-length song that is the one you react to because it is most like the original. Daneliya has a lot of similar vocal characteristics as Faouzia those low and dark tones. I think it would be fun for them to share a song Faouzia at 20 is only 6 years older than Daneliya, but Daneliya has as big a voice as Faouzia's. I wish you would give Daneliya a chance. Daneliya is a 14 year old singer from Kazakhstan. If you react to her I can give you more information.
Faouzia actually plays three instruments maybe four. Keys, Violin, Guitar and Flute too. I am guessing on the last one but I think I read that some where. Faouzia got a big bump from Daneliya singing her song at Daneliya's audition as Danya soon became the audience favorite. She won all the weekly polls done by Talent Search and Billboard had couple as well. She did very well until that Twilight Zone of who actually votes for the finals eliminated her after her first finals song. She later won the award for best new artist across all the Got Talent Platforms world-wide.
I had never heard of Faouzia before Daneliya sang her song. Faouzia said she was shaking through the whole audition because she couldn't believe it. Everybody but Heidi liked Daneliya's audition. She never really warmed up to Daneliya. No matter what she said there was no conviction in her words. I have listened to a lot of Faouzia since then, she even got a duet gig with John Legend out of it. So Please give Danya a chance. Use this song her 2nd one not the audition version. Thanks.

She is Moroccan They speak Arabic That's where she gets the odor in sound. It's like Shakira. Shakira is half Lebanese Which is also Arabic

Easily one of the best vocalists I discovered last year. You should listen to more of her, live or stripped versions are great.
If you check out some of her tik tok stuff, she does insane runs that will blow your mind.

Unfortunately for me she sounds like so many talented younger singers out there. Rounded diction, phrasing and they usually don't speak like that. But hopefully with some singing maturity this will change and she will stand out for her own uniqueness. Nice to see some Winterpeg talent being shared. Edit: Just watched the Jan 28 2021 Minefields video with Faouzia and John Legend. It's beautiful and she is so captivating to both listen to and observe how she emotionally expresses the song's story.

@@asmaaeziz1341 Hi. That was my initial reaction to what I was hearing. However, after listening to more of her, I am appreciating her Middle Eastern vocalization talents much more. For me the gold standard is... would I want to purchase and listen to an entire cd of her or anyone else singing without having the added visual enhancements of a video. :)
