Brian-you break it down better than anyone! If you are impressed with the engineering and execution then I am intrigued. Did not think I had an interest in the new M5 given the "transformation" to a global platform, but appears M has worked it's magic again. Thank you
Great review Brian. Unlike some commenting here, I have one and agree with everything you said, well, except for the spec as I have Marina Bay Blue and it's stunning. The weight? No one commenting is ever going to notice it because they'll never drive it in a way that they would, and frankly that's NOT what an M5 is about anyhow. I've tracked them and while it's fun, if I were to track I'd add an M2 for that, not even an M3. How they engineered this car completely astonishes me ever since I've had it (and I came from an F90). Someone really has to drive it to say anything, and also they have to see it IN PERSON to appreciate how it looks. Every generation of M cars comes with people complaining (and, btw, I find it hilarious that they mentioned TH because their review of the F90 was a lackluster as their review of this and they were wrong then). This is an extrondinary car that can't be appreciated fully unless driven and you nailed the experience perfectly. You've gained a fan!
Another great review Brian. Great to see how you delved more into what the car is about from an engineering stand point. Rather than the usual 0-60 time that is allover the airwaves. The color combination of the test car is stunning. I have to disagree on your love for Black on Black. Just about every car in the wild is Black on Black, nothing special. Any whose, I hope you get to review the M5 touring / wagon. That would be great. Looking forward to that
M5s are always cool, and this looks incredible. The weight is insane though, I had a 3 row huge Volvo XC90 10 years ago, built like a tank with a 6 cylinder that was over 800 pounds lighter than this!!!!
@@thatblue-e92 ah yes you’re right slightly quicker off the line. Faster rolling start. But less “deft” as Thomas put it. I don’t believe the weight can’t be felt. This feels like a miss
And yet it’s the fastest in a straight line than any m5 in history, proven by actual people who have actually driven it instead of you, an internet clown
tgh the 2025 is a fatty, a great big fatty. put it on a diet and get rid of a ton lol then its a wicked nice car though I am not a fan of the body style
Pretty disappointed with this review. Watch Throttle House review if you are looking for a non-shill and genuine review. There are no magics, it’s too heavy, it lost its edge and is no worthy of the M5 badge

Stop spewing nonsense. Auto manufacturers are forced to make their V8's hybrid in order to keep the V8's. It still outperformed the F90, what more do you want?
@ Watch Throttle House review. Faster =/= better. Porsche made hybrid without sacrificing handling and weight so it is possible. Sorry but praising this behemoth as an enthusiast car is shilling, especially by a guy who is advertising save the manual everywhere.
@@BrianMakse You should be more humble, you have a long way to go until you get to their level. Just because you are so called “pro driver” it doesn’t mean you aren’t not shilling with this review.

That’s exactly what I was thinking until I hit the corners in this M5. After a couple of turns, I was hooked!
This is the best review I've seen so far. I like the new M5. Hopefully they'll come out with a Comp or CS version.
Thanks! Sure hope so.

Those tv screens are a turn off and sadly on most if not all beamers now. “My opinion”and good for those who do like.
Giant screens. Dreadful. Enough to make me walk away from a purchase, actually.

Nice truck
Try again with something more original.
Black on black is the proper spec 👍
Black on black is for people that are dead inside
I'm interested in seeing some reviews of the M550e. I believe it'll be available in 🇨🇦
I think you mean "M560e" It's rumored that that car is cancelled. We haven't seen any prototypes.
Hey Brian. I watched the video. Very cool car. Couldn't reply on Facebook cause as usual I'm in FB jail till Dec 20. Lol
The secret is they sacrificed everything the prior M5 was in terms of greatness.

But it is beatable? The last generation has better power to weight ratio and was quicker off the line. It was also more agile.
Says who?
Did you watch yesterdays throttle house video? The new one is literally faster 0-60 and way faster 100-200
@@thatblue-e92 ah yes you’re right slightly quicker off the line. Faster rolling start. But less “deft” as Thomas put it. I don’t believe the weight can’t be felt. This feels like a miss
@ yet you said it’s slower off the line which makes everything you say irrelevant since it’s based on your emotions rather than facts
@@BrianMakse would be good to see a direct comparison to F90 in terms of handling, suspension and braking.
Nice car if you need a super sedan.
5390 lbs? I had to stop and rewind. Is that considered normal? Wtf. Humvee territory.
I think you mean unbeatable weight gain.
Power to weight ratio this is the slowest m5 to date ever produced
A car’s power to weight ratio doesn’t explicitly correlate to its speed or acceleration.

BWM must be hiring woke kids to design their cars these days.
Designers or engineers?
@@BrianMakse”design”, so you know the answer.

Agree, TH far superior and more objective. But, most of Brian’s reviews are fair. Maybe just not this one.
