I an American muscle car enthusiast, having owned a GT500 and had a 2025 CT5VBW on order (canceled), I am super excited about the G90 M5 Touring. As a dad, my GT500 is overkill, dropping off the kids, picking up, soccer, football, martial arts, grocery shopping, my tach never registered over 50mph. I thought the CT5VBW would give me more room, especially with kids, but at the end of the day, it's another GT500 with 4 doors. What if I can do all these daily chores, comfortably in EV mode around town? And if I find a back road or freeway on ramp, pushed the gas and put that V8 bi-turbo to good use? 27 ev miles doesn't sound much, but thanks to it's renegerative braking, it's plenty, Joe Archille put a G90 to the test on a racetrack, it ran out of gas before it ran out of EV. A lot has been made about weight, weight would come in play if you are tracking it, but most people, including myself, don't track an M5. Once again, Joe Archille got 0-60 in 3.1 seconds and 0-140mph almost a second faster than the F90 M5. I was set on the CT5VBW, but with the Carbon 1&2 package and the precision package, the price was closer to $140k. Speaking of pricing, for what BMW give you in the M5, and comparing it to the $146k RS6 Avant or $160k AMG, the G90 M5 is a bargain.
Great review Anthony. That is a beast for sure! That power train is just insane and I really look forward to seeing the wagon variant. The younger version of myself would have tried to get to the top speed..not this version though lol! That would be a rocket though flying across the desert to Vegas! Another great weather day here and so glad that you guys are having the same. I've got to hit the freeway today and I don't look forward to it due to traffic but it's not an everyday thing like before so I can handle it. It sounds like you have some great car reviews coming up and I will look forward to seeing them. Have you heard anything from Lincoln if they are bringing back the Continental? I think they made a mistake going all SUV. Hoping all is well for you and happy Wednesday Anthony
Thank you James. I agree it has too much power but it has gain some weight lol. It's fast though, agile and it gets great mpg but that isn't what an M is unfortunately. Great vehicle and I'm sure it will have a lot of mix highlights. Today was great weather, it was in the 80s but it rained and I just cleaned the car 😔 lol. Hopefully you don't hit too much traffic, I was in over an hour today. Lincoln going suv just like Ford expect we have the Mustang and trucks. It's almost like Buick but they have more choices. I used to love Lincoln, my first car was an LS but they have too much Ford in them now. This week I did over 5 different teams but I am getting backed up on edits and at least 2 more to finish this week. Happy Wednesday James
Traditional M5, RIP. A hybrid (even performance oriented) M5....blasphemy! Too complicated, too expensive, design looks like it came out of a cartoon, (don't get me started on plastic pieces in the interior of a $140K car), etc. I guess I am just to old. As a BMW fan, I hope they sell a ton and wish them the best. Bring back the M550 sedan please!!!!!!!
The M5 comp from last year has such a better look. This looks like a tank, the RS7 performance by Audi blows this away in looks and equal in performance.
This M5 is stunning, and the front design looks very aggressive.
BMW did a great job with the new m5

Throttle House just did a race with the G90 M5 vs. RS7 and E63S, including rolling start, the G90 M5 came out victorious in both races.
Love this car
It’s awesome
big heavy very powerfull luxury Monster car, maybe the best in his class now. Thanks 😀

in Europe the car has a empty weight from 5533 lbs, not bad 😂
@@alengreen589 😂 it’s heavy but it’s quick
The front is awesome, the rest is horrible. The Audi RS7 performance has so much more of an aggressive look and stance.
Compared with Tesla Model S Plaid
This all day
This car does not have Carbon Ceramic Brakes.
@@mpowers63tu96 that’s an option the disc size is std

I am Brain the m550 would be awesome and the phev for this is going to have a lot of mix feelings but at least we still have a v8 twin-turbo
@@HawkeyeRideseven BMW dealers in Europe warn you not to buy the M550 because of all the issues they had 😅
