It's simple, if you know the metric system: every standard cube is one milimeter high. 75 cubes are 7,5 cm.

Just checked here - 'cause I'm lousy with inches, but 75mm (75 cubes) is roughly 3 inches high ;)

I’m trying to figure out how to do that so this video is perfect!

It’s a huge help, I should have done it ages ago. Sometimes not everything will print, but by having a constant size in nomad I can make changes and print the perfect size 👍🏾

Couldn’t you use the 10x10 grid groups as a unit of measurement instead of making the boxes? Scale up to 10 grid groups then scale it up 7 times that?

I’m lost even reading what you are saying, but yeah I’m sure that works too! 😊👍🏾

I'm pretty new to nomad sculpt and was wondering what tablet you use to make prints and have different softwares? Using my phone is a headache to use 🤦🏻‍♂️

How do you figure out 75 is the size of the can? It would be nice to have actual measurements

Lychee slicer has a view mode in the export tab that shows the model next to a soda can, banana etc. good for visualizing the side approximately 👍🏾

Accordiing to Dave’s video, 70% of a soda can = 70 boxes. 100 boxes for 100% of a can (75 boxes is not the size of the can).

One grid in Nomad is 1mm, so a square is 10mm

How do you scale something in nomad or in the slicer? You just adjust the scale slider smaller 👍🏾

Is there a way to increase the overall scale on loading the app? I have a template model I'm supposed to use to create variations with, but when I import it into nomad it's massssssive (template is to scale, for printing), so every cube/sphere I add in is ridiculously small, buried within the model, and it wastes so much of my time scaling every piece I add in. 😭

Yeah I can imagine. As far as I know there is not. You can ask this question in the nomad Facebook group and/or on discord (the creator is very responsive there) I’m not very technical with nomad, but they would know for sure! 👍🏾

Dave, exists the possibility of you accepting challenges like make a model 3D from illustrations by others? If so, I made a simple one using Affinity Designer for iPad but I don’t know how I could approach to make it a 3D model 😢. BTW You look a lot like Michael Jordan 😊
