Due to the HIGH VOLUME of requests for appraisal and identification, I am unfortunately UNABLE TO RESPOND to these messages. Please feel free to post your items in my facebook group: bit.ly/2BmAheK - บันเทิง
Two videos in a row you mentioned a $95 item which you sold. I'm the buyer. I love my black and gold murano ashtray and "Another door Opens" sculpture. When I do my taping for the Let's Make a Deal show, I'm going to give the Door sculpture to Wayne Brady. It seems appropriate!
I really like the Goodwill/Junk store picking better than antique stores/malls .... the finds are so surprising and the prices so cheap.
It depends, I have found some treasures at antique malls, for not much money.
Some of my best finds I made the most money off of were from an antique store.
Examples: I found an antique Baccarat perfume bottle for $6 I sold for $130
Recently picked up a orient and flume bird for $8 that I just listed, I expected to get $150
Picked up a rare blue bird wall pocket for $5 that I sold for $80
I bought an antique frame for $25 that I sold for $300
Last winter I bought a set of Polly Bellows felted people for $30 (came to $5 a figure) and sold them for $250
I could go on and on… the thing with antique malls is you generally are seeing only vintage/ antique and you have all different types of sellers. Some sellers just want to move inventory and aren’t bothered by getting a high price. While others look up pieces and price them at retail… but you can never know EVERYTHING so things are bound to get missed. More and more Thrift store are pricing their stuff over antique mall prices. This happens because generally people who sell in an antique store understand their local market while a thrift store is strictly pricing off of eBay listings. I rarely go into thrift stores anymore and if I do it’s mostly a quick run in. I’m not bothering anymore with $20 and below items. I have too much inventory so I’ll run in to look for things that aren’t manufactured marked that I can still get for a ok price. Almost all of my great finds are coming from antique malls, flea markets and estate sales… places you’d expect to not find deals.
@@pennydaytreasures8173 That is great!
Our goodwills in Alabama are awful & our antique stores are great & I have found some really great buys.
My sentiments about the CLL videos exactly! 💟 No ofense.
And, I know there are people who feel the opposite. Different strokes, eh? 🫂
The white bowl you got was there the first time you went through looking at the vases . I was screaming why didn't you pick up the white bowl that looks like Fenton 😂😂🤣😂
I saw it too! I was so surprised she didn’t see it! So glad she made another pass!
Me too! 😂
Yes I saw it and kept waiting for her to grab it. I was so disappointed when she didn’t the first time. Glad it was still there and she snagged it the second go round!
We all were shouting to her!!
Yep me too. I saw it
I really wish that you had bought the wooden Red bird. It made me tear up. My grandma was my mama and she always told me that when I saw a red bird that she was sending me kisses. Yesterday was the date that she passed many years ago. I really really felt like she sent me kisses from heaven through you. Thank you. Stay safe and God Bless
Intarsia like that can sell well too. I was surprised Jocelyn didn't get it.
My mom loved cardinals and we kids gave her some. Every time they come to my bird bath, and chirp I know she’s coming to visit me.
Hello!!!!! Happy Friday everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Praying hands on velvet..it's a first." Haha.
Whew!!! I've been saying...'Go back, Jocelyn!! You missed it!!! Get the Fenton Spanish Lace bowl!!! GO BACK!!!' and yay! You went back!! lol
I think that glass thing from the pharmacy was an eye wash cup. My grandmother had one similar in her medicine cabinet. I wish my 3 goodwills were as great as yours.
nee hoor het is een glazen lepel om vloeibare medicijnen etc . in te nemen ...is antiek .... oogbakjes zijn in de vorm van een oog en hoger...
The three goodwills near us are awful too. Nothing at all like Jocelyn has. Need to visit family near Harrisburg and visit this goodwill. Have been there before with my cousin. She really found some great things on this visit.
It looked like a spoon for measuring medicine to me. The eyewash cups I've seen are stemmed. I have a cobalt blue one myself.
Between all the ‘virtual’ yelling at you for the silver crest bowl and the giant painting - and that lady gettin’ up in your space - - - I don’t know how you can think clearly 😮 🤣
The flat pewter vase is for ikebana. You’ll need a flower frog inside to hold the stems in place. The flower frog should be the kind with the spokes, not holes.
Thought that woman was going to climb in your basket for a minute, glad you moved ! lol
Wouldn't it be better to ask her to wait a minute, finish what you are doing and then move on? Rather than filming the incident, not saying anything and then waiting for the viewers to support you in the comments. Seems rather passive aggressive to me...
@@ET-yp9vc I would have said something myself. But I think she was trying to avoid confrontation on camera. Thats just a guess.
When I’m standing in front of a spot looking at things or deciding what I want, if someone walks near me I just say to them “if I’m in your way just let me know and I will scoot over”….. they always seem to appreciate it. 😀👍
I worked at the Fanny Farmer Candy Factory in the late 80's in Norwalk, Ohio . They've been closed since the 90's !
I'm glad you went back to that milk glass bowl. I was yelling at you 😂
Me too!!
Always look up those old candy heart boxes. I have sold a few for $20-60 each
I saw that silver crest white bowl & the Limoges dish the first time you went fast down that isle!! I was yelling at you, SILVER CREST LOOK !!! 🤣😂 So glad you saw them the second time around. Slow down & relax & scan the shelves, haha....😂😊 Love watching, I watch you everyday!!❤❤
That painting is AWESOME!!!!!! You had me setting on the edge of my seat with anxiety that you were going to leave it behind.
The frog on the stick!!! Why didn't you get her lol? I think Avon is going to be the stuff people will want in the future. That painting is awesome! The wooden fish and wooden bird were lovely.☺
I think there is just too much Avon. Generally if something is going to start to have value it first starts over nostalgia. Right now is when I’d think that would be happening because people around 50 have those memories of mom buying Avon.
Avon put out some great pieces and a few things are actually worth a good deal of money but those are the rarer harder to find pieces. The pieces you typically find over and over I don’t think will go up much in value 😞
Oh those trivets! My childhood!
Hey Jocelyn, at 7:39 next to the glass figure is a wood box. It looks like an MCM teak tambour rolltop box. Laura of LeftCoastFlea just talked about them. Am curious to learn more.
You are quick to spot that , just looked it up and they are from Thailand . I like those. Thanks for pointing that out learn something new.
Just saw Laura's video in which she discussed her colkection
I live in chicago...hate winter...hate snow...hate snow puctures! We have two seasons...winter and construction...but i love you and your family and friends and all the videos...gave enjoyed watching...learning...and crinkleing paper!!!
😂 I hear you. I live in Germany. I hate winter. I moved here from a lovely warm country. But, I love everything to do with Christmas decor.
I agree. I live in Massachusetts and would never put a painting with snow in my house. Not going to happen.
Three little Indian figures would be cute for Thanksgiving decorating.
That painting! I would give my distant relative’s first born for that painting. The silver crest was there the first time and I was like, “see it!!!”
I actually held my breath when you were debating whether to buy the snow scene art 😂 I was so wanting you to buy it for a Christmas theme in your booth. The relief when you picked it up 😅😅
The cat is done in cross stich not needle point, I believe.
Nope, it's slant-stitch needlepoint, no cross
Fanny Farmer was a Boston chocolate company that no longer exists, so that heart box is probably vintage.
I don't know how you can be so patient and kind. I would have went off on that rude lady who was crowding you. And I love that winter painting! So cool!
Why go off on her? She was just trying to reach something. People get too angry too fast nowadays.
Because she was insufferably rude. And a woman her age should know better.
@@jodihepler6202
She was rude, Jocelyn was there first, all others wait your turn
The pink satin perfume is gorgeous!! 2:34
I really loved the wooden fish from Belize! Gorgeous. So happy you saw the silver crest glass bowl!!!
3 things I love to hear you say:
- Shoot
- Say Whaaaaaaat?
- Get into my cart
"I think I need this in my life."
@@bernadettebockis4120 yes! 🤣
OMG I had the butterfly tin! How can that be vintage😂😂
I laughed when you said here's a bird staring at your cigarette ashes 😆. And I love love love that painting I'm so glad you got it. ❤
Lol, i was wondering if you saw the white bowl then you walked on, really glad you circled back. You never seem to hear me when I'm talking to the screen,😊
I want the frog on the stick! That was too cute. But I love frogs.
The Pewter piece is for ikebana 😊
The winter painting is beautiful 😊😊
Jocelyn, if you can’t find an umbrella for the girl, just put a bunch of vintage miniatures millinery flowers in it. I did that and it’s super cute.
That frog on the branch was so cute. Love the brass four leaf clover too.
I was so afraid you were going to miss that Fenton! i was going crazy when i saw it! lol really great finds!
That silver crest white bowl was there from the beginning of the video, I was shouting “it’s right there”!!!😊
I like rug. Brings out the white in the cabinets and draws the mind and body into ur space
I think there was an alabaster lamp on that lamp shelf. Those regularly sell for me for $70-80.
I LOVE that Winter Scene art work---mainly due to the frame---so glad you got it!!
Love the winter scene picture!
Awesome finds and video plus a wonderful painting! Thank you for sharing ❤
🌸Greate Finds !!
The tray, picture, pewter ichiban just needs a “frog” 🙌
And Ty for taking us along ! 💕🥰
Loved that vintage carved alabaster Italian table lamp that was left behind.
Loved the large picture you brought!!
The painting was beautiful and you got some great finds on this shopping trip. 😊
Loved it all again. I seem to like it all. I did like the snowy painting, mustard bowl, France plate, and the wooden bird the most.❤
The winter scene picture and frame are fabulous..I just want the 3 little pigs..love them so mucj
Love watching you find the treasures 😊❤
Wow, that painting was bigger than I realized. Very glad you got it!
Love that you got that winter scene with that amazing frame art for your booth!! For winter?? No hesitation! I only wish I lived closer…😊❤
Oh my goodness that artwork!!
I really loved the wooden fish as well, but so glad you picked up the pewter candle holder (perhaps?) piece. Loved it!
That's a Awesome painting and a great video. You got some neat things on this trip.
Hello from Cols, Ohio. The butterfly tin had candy in it when it was new; school fundraser.
That bottle is from before the IRON curtain was taken down. West Germany.
So glad you found the Fenton silver crest! I was screaming the first time you walked by it lol
Oh my gosh, I absolutely love the wooden framed artwork!! I would have bought it in a heartbeat! I wish you weren’t so far away from me😢. You found some great things this trip. Thanks for sharing 🫶
Love the pewter ichibana vase. Just needs a metal flower frog! I have a few of these vases - they are great for doing sculptural pieces with florals.
Resin is amazing. Well done Resin figurines are SO life like!
Love the winter scene picture. Beautiful frame. Glad your bought it. You should hang it in your house over the winter. Sunroom
This was an outstanding pick! The huge painting is truly awesome and so much more...that pewter piece is so interesting, can't wait to see the sold video on that! Too many other things to mention...all great. Thanks for the experience 🤗💖
The huge velvet winter painting would be great on your mantel for the winter/Christmas season.
14:35 That bowl was fabulous. There was a great assortment of things for reasonable prices. 🇨🇦
Found quite a bit today and not bad stuff at all. Somethings you picked up the colors and the cuteness I liked it.
You definitely hit the jackpot with nice finds at your Goodwill.🤗 Our Goodwills are not so forthcoming with treasures .😏
At 6:14, I was like am I seeing things? I seen the silver crest and was just drooling 😂😂
I love the LeMoyne Goodwill! You always seem to find a lot of good things there ❤❤❤
That Giant painting woulda fit turned the other way with the back seats down. Love all the things you find that we have no idea what they are for. Thank you.
Omg that alabaster lamp and small brass easel!!!! So many of us collect those!!!
Love the bird ashtray
I was yelling "The Fenton! The Fenton!" on your first pass. Happy you caught it. 😊
So many nice finds!
YES… my Friday night video. 😃
MacKenzie Childs is actually 2 professors who taught at Aurora College in Central NY. Last I knew they had sold MC to the woman who's name to fame is the American Girl Doll.
I think the golf mug was still there buried behind two other mugs, second shelf corner. :)
You over looked the white ruffled bowl glad you saw it the second time
Nice to see you! ❤
Right next to the Greek cup is the nestle map glass mugs that we love!!
love that winter painting
Relpo made some really nice head vases!
I'm SO glad you finally saw that Fenton Silver Crest Spanish Lace Bowl!!!!!!! When you passed it by earlier I was HEARTBROKEN!!!!!!!!
Call me weird, but I loved that lizard on the stick lol love the Greek teacup too.😮
I have a winter painting I put up just for December.
That's so annoying that they don't let you buy things that aren't priced. At my Goodwill you just take it up front and they'll tell you a price.
Yes, what a stupid system. So all the things that are not priced never get sold?
Mine too. You can ask any employee and they'll get a price for you.
What an awesome Goodwill. I’m visiting in N.C. and tried 3 Goodwills yesterday. Boo.
I would love that vintage bowl with the prints on it
The Fanny Farmer heart box is vintage. They went out of business years ago.
The little girl lady missing her umbrella...I thought she was holding her soft drink can! LOL!
The cream-colored jug that you picked up at around the 3:00 mark is a German liquor bottle. It would have had a greenish colored cork. KW Dehme made those as well as restaurant ware and other pottery. I can't tell in the video if the mark says Western Germany or just Germany. If Western Germany, it's before 1989. Maybe you should have picked it up.
LOL! I'm glad you saw the silver crest milk glass bowl! I was yelling at the screen for you to pick it up your first pass through the row!
Love that marigold carnival glass.
The clear glass spoon thing that was labeled “compliments of Bucher’s drug store”…that is a medicine spoon. My mother had a similar one for me when I was a kid in the mid 60s. (Ours was plastic though). Thought you might like to know that if you didn’t already.
It sits flat making it easier to pour in the medicine.
I have two of those gold 3 leaf clovers in my sidewalk to my front porch!
Fun thrifting and put little paper Chinese cocktail umbrella in doll that missing!😉
The wood fish and bird are my style! Anything wood.
That picture is STUNNING.
I'm so glad you got that giant painting! And i think that praying hands on velvet is double points! ✔️😁
Definitely double points
😂🇨🇦
Did she really reach across your cart? Geez! Hold on a minute or two
She was so rude
That was so rude…. I would have said something
Chill. .she didn't reach into her cart.... it's no big deal..
Some people have no class. I would have said something to her, never mind 'chill'. No excuses for bad manners. Not only was Jocelyn shopping, she was filming. The lady could have stepped back and waited out of deference and good manners. I guess some people are just brought up without good manners and get away with their **** because people excuse them.
Wow! Maybe she didn't know she was filming....you guys are really harsh... It didn't seem to bother her,..live and let live... Why be confrontational?
