I lucked out about a year ago at Goodwill and found 3 Waterford Vases. The blue is what drew me to them. I took one because at first I didn’t realize what I had picked up!! As I kept looking it over I seen Waterford and hurried and went back and grabbed the other two. Some man followed me around the store till I paid for them. He was in hope I’d put them back!!!! Nope I still have them in my cabinet.
I love the orange storage chair you picked up for Julia! What a fun piece! Orange is my favorite color so of course I was immediately drawn to it. Great video- lots of great finds! Thanks for sharing 🧡
The "cool looking" glass plate at 8:55 says Colani, like Luigi Colani, the famous German designer. He made this plate for the German glass company Ritzenhoff, probably in the 70s. It was available in round as a cake plate and in oval like the one on the shelf. They sell around 30 to 40 Euro in Germany.
I'm wondering if that photograph you found is of a doctor administering the oral polio vaccine. That would have been the Sabin vaccine which was administered by drops on the tongue or on sugar cubes. (Salk was an injection) I can't tell if he's dropping something on the boy's tongue or just looking in his mouth. The Sabin vaccine began being used around 1959-1960. I remember going with my parents and my sister to the local elementary school to get ours on sugar cubes. It was weird to see the local doctor, nurse and school nurse there and all the families in our town. I was fascinated by the little paper cups with the sugar cubes in them. My sister was around 2 which would have been around 1962. She didn't like it at first and fussed a bit, then the sugar cube started to melt, and she was happy. If that's what that photograph is that's really interesting. I wonder if there is anything written on the back.
You are partially responsible for making it a "happening Goodwill"! I like that you give clear glass a chance. I think it's beautiful. 😊. I also like singles of anything put together into a vignette. Oval mirrors are a must have!
I feel sad for people when they feel they can't learn from, " The Youngsters" such as yourself. All the info I have learned from you is so vast and exciting. I've been collecting cobalt glass items for 40ish years now. But I've learned about Murano glass, and art pottery (I've owned and still do own many pieces of Salmon Falls Pottery) Thank you Joslyn for sharing your vast knowledge about so many things. I can't wait for each of your videos to drop everyday. And that you share a tiny bit of your life when you are not working. As you know, it is so important to keep your babies, as well as Andrew's lives safe first and foremost, as it always should be. Give Laurel a hug for me. Tell her, as well as Sissy and Ashton, that a grandmother from Maine is thinking of them and your family, as well as praying for you guys.
I’m 68 and I’ve learned so much from her videos. I especially love when I’ve seen something in her video then the next time I’m in a GW or other thrift store I find one of those items. I’ve found things that before I probably would have passed up if it weren’t for Jocelyn sharing her knowledge
I don't understand why some don't like clear glass. I've found so many beautiful clear items... I have several pieces of Mats Jonasson and also some Swedish art glass. I've not yet found any Waterford, but I have found a piece of Lalique, which almost made me squeal.
Absolutely! I just thrifted a Nachtmann Germany Slice crystal clear glass vase (original sticker on it) with 2 matching candle holders for less than $20 and the quality and appearance, stunning 😊
Waterford is not the only desirable Crystal, Baccarat is also very desirable. The clarity on those things you’ve seen today say they are really good even if they have no name. Early days a lot of Crystal had stuck on labels which people removed .
Hello, I would add another desirable cristal, the portuguese ATLANTIS, made in Portugal, clear as the moon with a fantastic sound and beautiful design more modern or Classic. Search for it and you Will be amazed. Goodbye!!!
The pig hanging wall decor is from a company named Himark. I worked there in mid-eighties to early nineties. The piece you found was before my time there and the logo on sticker is older style. Piece is probably 40 years old.
7:00 Lauren, Waterford now uses the Seahorse figure instead of the name Waterford since it was bought by Phiser (The scissors people). I thought I saw a seahorse on. The two crystal pieces you were looking at to see if they were Waterford. This is probably an old video so I hope you see this!!
Fun story about Waterford: after WWII the company had paused for a while and the new owners who immigrated to Ireland from Europe (?) convinced glass artisans to move to Ireland because the country had plenty of oranges and bananas...
I had to say TAJE IT at least 4 times before you decided to take the shell glass piece. Good for you to hear me. Ha. Loved all the glass you picked up even if it was clear.
That mirror you bought is most definitely silver clean it up and look for the silvermarks. Looks english to me. Silver and english to sell here would be about one hindred to hundred and fifty pounds xxx😊😊😊
It looks exactly the same as one l purchased for £6.99 and it sold for £175.00 l watch your channel every day l cannot miss it we have charity shops. I wish we had goodwills like you do xxx
That shell plate was definitely Mikasa and I would love to find more to add to the ones I have. I own the huge nautilus bowl that matches them and look forward to filling it with ice and shrimp for a summer party❤
Awesome finds! Man, I wish our thrift shops were like yours. I'm really starting to like clear glass. I bought a cloud shaped blob of clear glass recently and I just love it!
I don't think I have ever seen you buy so much clear. I have been following the theory that it doesn't sell so it will be interesting to see how these items go. Very nice of you to reunite the chickens! Happy thrifting. 😊
The crystal dish you picked up and said was a shell. it's a wave. I had one bigger. I can't remember the maker. Ironically, it was lost to the waves of a hurricane.
Everything was wonderful...and the minute I saw the orange chair, I thought "Oh! I so hope she buys that for Juilliet!" Hope your WN sale was successful tonight! 👍💖
Wenko sells bathroom supplies ! Just looked them up while watching this video. When you opened the lid, I thought it was ...a portable toilet! I have no idea ! They also sell shower curtains and soap dishes, etc.
It's called Candy. If you google "Badhocker Candy" (bathroom stool) you will find a lot of pictures in different colors. It is described as stool and laundry hamper in one.
I love that you care enough to put the sets together on the shelves.
I really like crystal and Waterford in particular. I have goblets and tumblers in that pattern like the pitcher. I like how cut crystal sparkles!!
Jocelyn you are the only thrifter I know that finds Waterford when you first walk in lol. Awesome! ❤️🇨🇦🙌

Thrifting Twins are lucky with Waterford all the time, check them out. 😊
The Wenko stool is made by a German or Swedish company and it is a stool/laundry hamper.
Sometimes just 1 candle stick is just what one needs
Especially in a grouping.
@@lindasoderberg9477Agree! I group similar singles together. I prefer that look to a matching pair. But I’m kinda a weirdo.
@@brendatomlinson you’re in good company!
Wow, lots of clear glass! I love it!
I’d totally have picked up the Denmark bowl 😍
Might have been Dansk
I don’t know why but whenever I have a bad day I come here to watch your videos 😊 The positivity and cheerfulness we get from you is amazing.
My relaxation too after a few long work days
I agree! ❤❤❤❤
Yes!! She's great and nice voice .
I love the orange storage chair you picked up for Julia! What a fun piece! Orange is my favorite color so of course I was immediately drawn to it. Great video- lots of great finds! Thanks for sharing 🧡
I love that your picking up clear glass! To many beautiful pieces get left behind and if the CLL BUYS IT EVERYONE WILL 🤣🥰🥰🥰
I love how you are always positive!

She picked up that plate just as I read your comment. What's the chance of that?
😮
Scott Living is a brand by the Property Brothers. It is sold by Wayfair, West Elm , Pottery Barn, JC Penney, and Kohl’s.
I would have left my husband at the store to make room for that orange chair!!! Aaaaaahhhh! I love it!!!

Very interesting!! TFS!
Born in ‘62 and I remember the sugar cube vaccine!
You put that rolling pin in the fridge so it is cold to roll out tge dough. Works beautifully.

When buying paintings or pictures that are framed, always look underneath the backing. Sometimes people hide things in back.
I can't wait to see the what sold video for this haul.🇨🇦

Agree. I like the fancy clear glass.
Absolutely! I just thrifted a Nachtmann Germany Slice crystal clear glass vase (original sticker on it) with 2 matching candle holders for less than $20 and the quality and appearance, stunning 😊
Lalique is as good as clear glass gets .
I get weak knees over clear crystal glass.
It’s difficult to photograph which makes it a tougher sell.

Usually those teapots with the aluminum cozys are Hall
Speaking of lids, your blue & white corn cob pitcher in BIN is missing the lid that would have completed the whole ear of corn.
You taught me about Bill Campbell pottery. Then found 2 at my Goodwill. They sold in one day for over $160. TY sooo much. ❤️
Nice
Congratulations ❤
Ohhh congrats! That’s one name I have yet to come across.
Do you know which video she talked about Bill Campbell so I can educate myself
Thank you in advance ❤
How nice!
I Believe that the plate vith boat and firelight is made in Sweden by Orrefors.
That orange chair is cool put toys in the bottom love it perfect for your home
That was a successful trip. Starting off with the Waterford! Thought that was sweet you making the effort to reunite the roosters. Ha
Thank you
Did you ever strip the west Germany vase , I’m still curious what was underneath 😊

I'm obsessed with your videos. So knowledgable . I love when you show your cute family and boy does Baby Laurel look like Andrew! Love to you all.
That blue parrot vase at 3:41. Those are contemporary but good sellers. Bring ~18.
The shell dish is Mikasa, I believe😊
I thought the same thing
Fun story about Waterford: after WWII the company had paused for a while and the new owners who immigrated to Ireland from Europe (?) convinced glass artisans to move to Ireland because the country had plenty of oranges and bananas...

Single-handedly bringing back clear glass! Love it!

A good shopping trip and thanks for sharing
I enjoy that you re-unite items, even if you don't purchase them.
That shell plate was definitely Mikasa and I would love to find more to add to the ones I have. I own the huge nautilus bowl that matches them and look forward to filling it with ice and shrimp for a summer party❤
Thanks for sharing your shopping trip and you are a great shopper. You have FUN also. Thanks From Texas USA
Good to see you today 😀
Awesome finds! Man, I wish our thrift shops were like yours. I'm really starting to like clear glass. I bought a cloud shaped blob of clear glass recently and I just love it!
I saw the matching pieces to the gourmet kitchen pig wall hanging at my local thrift store last weekend. One was a sheep and the other a cow.
Love this store could spend 4 hours going through everything
Waterford what a score
!
That orange seat would be great for Juliette's room! She can use it for storage, and a seat! I love it!
love the sweet pig!
The swan ashtrays are from circa 1940. Card games were at their height and individual ashtrays were the rage. Today very utilized for teaspoons.
The orange piece is a hamper
I loved the crytal bowl she left on the shelf.
I am surprised you bought all the glass! Great job! 😊
The photo in the frame is Dr Jonas Salk dispensing the first oral polio vaccine. Early to mid 50’s
Oh that Corningware covered casserole!
Super exciting trip to goodwill! I know the hand painted box was damaged but I loved it! The orange chair with storage was super cool.
The pale blue teapot is art deco very collectible 😊
Maria Lambert
Owww, that Waterford pitcher! ❤

I don't think I have ever seen you buy so much clear. I have been following the theory that it doesn't sell so it will be interesting to see how these items go. Very nice of you to reunite the chickens! Happy thrifting. 😊
It was a weird day for me. 😂

Waterford pitcher was beautiful!
The crystal dish you picked up and said was a shell. it's a wave. I had one bigger. I can't remember the maker. Ironically, it was lost to the waves of a hurricane.
Yes you are crazy the crazy lamp lady
the jar that your referred to as cute is from the Dollar store. I bought a case for my wedding and had sugar packets in them for the table.
Everything was wonderful...and the minute I saw the orange chair, I thought "Oh! I so hope she buys that for Juilliet!" Hope your WN sale was successful tonight! 👍💖

hi, love the storage stool. please let us know if Juliet liked it.🤓
I'm sad I missed your Whatnot sale tonight. I hope it was as fun & wonderful as always!
Hanover Goodwill is always busy because it's close to the Maryland/Pennsylvania line and the Goodwiills in this part of Maryland are horrendous!!!!! 😂
Have you ever used denture cleaning tablets to clean some of the glass items?
They have shown the sink area and for sure they use denture tablets.
Hey! That was exhilarating!
The orange seat, my first thought was a poop bucket for a van dweller. Probably not but was my first thought ha
It's cool to see the pewter spoon from st louis. That is where I've lived my whole life
She can use the orange chair for a laundry hamper.
You have influenced me, to also reunite items.😊
Wenko sells bathroom supplies ! Just looked them up while watching this video. When you opened the lid, I thought it was ...a portable toilet! I have no idea ! They also sell shower curtains and soap dishes, etc.
😂 I looked it up. I think it’s a laundry hamper.

Great shopping trip!!

I've seen a boat lid to the milk glass bottom
10.33....I think you missed an Art Deco ashtray...I have one in opaque white...they also come in jadeite or blue.....❤..Parker
That photo I believe is a Dr forgot his name dispensing the first polo shot 💕
Loved this shopping trip. I loved the orange stool too. So many great items
As your scanning the shelves I love to guess your going to pick up. What fun for me. 😊
I do the very same thing!!
Love your channel!
Always perfect timing🤍
Long time viewer, first time commentor - love it when you say "fancy". As in, "it's so fancy", but you gotta say it with the accent on fan' cy. Lol
14:55 I found that same exact pig mold a few years ago. Sooo cute
That music box is playing a really creepy song 😂😂
You could have bought the teapot with the to coozie for the coozie
Could the orange "seat" with a cushion, also hold ice and beverages?
That was a good trip to GW.
