Impressive from Leachman for coming back strong at the end of the season! And Victoria Garces has a good case for having had the best season of any girl in 2024. Undefeated at the state and regional level, and second place in both NXN and Foot Locker. Insane consistency. Congratulations to everyone.
Great race by the podium finishers and all the girls. Zariel Macchia took it out bravely and showed a lot of grit to hang on for 3rd. Victoria Garces has had a tremendous season, finishing second at both national-level finals. Leachman has made it through a season of adversity and showed great heart in today's victory. If she can stay injury-free, look out.
Great to see Beth Leachman feeling better and getting back into XC races after a rough fall. She is tough, and even ran NXR in poor condition until she had to quit, but she's looking good now and is comfortable running back in the pack for a while without fear of falling behind nearer the end. Track season next year will be great to watch, and hopefully with a Hedengren/Leachman match!
@ Yeah it’s too bad Hendengren is a senior so we won’t get to see the race with both at 100% in high school at least. Hendengren this year was what Leachman was supposed to do last year at NXN after taking the big lead and going out on course record pace.
@@Eric-ru8sp Both will be fun to watch especially Leachman being a year and a half younger than Hedengren. I hope her cardiac issues don't stop her career before it gets started.
The west never has a chance at footlocker because national meet for Nike championships takes place on the same day as the regional meet for foot locker
@ NXN itself is the same day west regional for footlocker. West people have to chooses. If they didn’t have to choose one or the other the west would dominate footlocker every year
I love Leachman. She just runs and runs. She has a lot of heart. congratulations!
The girl who lead for much of the race hung in there for third. Gutsy. Thanks for the video!

Great, Girls, Great Sport, and 1,2,3, interview was real sportsmanship.
3rd at NXN and repeat Foot Locker champion. Nice season for Leachman considering the injuries and illness she dealt with.
Race start at 17:28
Thank you.
Loved the FL coverage this year! Great job Runnerspace!
I ran the 1st. Footlocker XC championship. for Costa Mesa!

Great Leachman... again. Congrats.
Way to go Victoria G!
Absolutely!
What happened to Chiara Dailey? I saw she DNFed. I know she was sick earlier in the week.
Very impressive running, very strong.
Talk about best of the best 👍
Could. Be. More. To. Come. From. Leachman
Why they don’t water down the course to prevent all the dust is beyond me……..
really should have pad lining for those race uniforms...
Stop going through dust on your golf cart in front of runners. Give some distance so they don't have to go through your dust.
Can actually have a race when Jane Hendengren is not there to blow the field away.
That will change once Leachman gets healthy from the cardiac issues.

I doubt Jane would blow away Elizabeth.

What about Blade and Englehardt from California. Where are they?
The west never has a chance at footlocker because national meet for Nike championships takes place on the same day as the regional meet for foot locker
Guess they could not recover fast enough to race again...
@@16nowhereman They don’t run the back to back - but the Top 3 this week were all at NXN last week.
Isn’t the California state championships / NXN qualifying the same weekend as Foot Locker regionals so California is pretty much shut out.
