The only thing keeping me from buying this game ... based on videos ... I can't bring myself to play a game where i walk around carrying a rock in front of me blocking my view ... who walks like that ... id be constantly annoyed
It really wasn’t smart making a twig base and then farming wood. You should never build a base if you can’t instantly upgrade it. Someone can just break the twig and take your base. Also placing the airlock straight ahead lets people see into your base and figure out what they need to raid you place it to the left or right.
Yea but I’m talking about box locations door placement and if raiding your base is worth it. But other than that it is very helpful for a new player that has never played before.
Ah, gotcha! Looking back I could definitely do better now but given how well the vid has done and the fact that it’s fairly helpful I figured I’ll do a remake but won’t remove this one.
I’d enjoy a remake but maybe try to do some mid to end gameplay too. Because ive seen people really good at starting and as soon as they get a gun the kinda die off.
In this video, you instantly stumble onto a farm with all the food and hemp you could ever need, for me my experience has been frustrating, scowering around for hemp and rock and eventually dying before getting enough hemp to make a sleeping bag. Any tips? :)

@@CerealOverdrive thanks dude i just got a community server got an amazing spot at a harbor and light house i built my house then i got this supply drop from a PLANE and got a rifle and a shotgun then got killed;( by a plane i think but i got all my stuff back lol
If you don't have a solid state it will take anywhere from 10-30 minutes... Solid states are totally worth the investment... just buying a 250GB SSD very much so worth the price.

I remember the first time I played rust I made a base and 2 dudes came to my base and said just let us have ur stuff and I ran out in complete darkness completely taking them out by surprise naked and only with a spear they came back w 4 dudes and demolished my base and killed me I was like so this is rust lol
@@CerealOverdrive I definitely am, but this video is definitely helping out alot. The best I was doing is having three bedrolls and each one had a secret stash for when I died for a headstart. I didn't even know bases decayed but that explains why it's not always full by coasts

@@CerealOverdrive I'd also noticed the gameplay quality, with this game it's very demanding on some machines, I'd highly recommend to lower some of the settings in the menu and windowed menu, the reasons is to have the advantage of an higher framerate in an pvp match.
Corbin M yea, I’ve been tuning down the settings a bit to try and up my fps. Also the walking, sprinting, stealth aspect is huge. At the time I made this video I was a bit newer but yea I probably should’ve mentioned it. Thanks for the constructive criticism!
Hey buddy, long term player of rust. Good video. One thing ide say is if you don't have enough to upgrade straight to wood or better, just make a stone foundation with TC on. Lock the TC with all your stuff in. Much more secure :).
Yea, I’ve logged way more hours now and tend to go 1x1 first and then switch to the 2x1. Good tip with the tc and lock. I never even considered that! Thanks!

Go to modded and community servers that are not pvp oriented for best experience. There you can find some friendly people who will be glad to help you and you will make some friends.

You can’t pickup all rocks but when you can e should work. You’ll see a pop up saying you can pick it up if it’s possible

MJJ Tvs all of them are pretty spot on tbh. Just build a 2x2 or 2x1. Then when you build out remember everyone knows where the best loot likely is

i spent a whole day making bases and having them raided before I learned about upgrading and locks lol.

Don't build your airlock to your 1x1 on the end. Let's people see all up into your base. Maybe able to destroy your tc.

@@CerealOverdrive a bit of movement. In a way like freelook, less walking and more sprinting, looking up and jump to go faster up ladders and hills. But hey, I still find this video helpful to the fresh mind of a new player!
@@CerealOverdrive I'd also noticed the gameplay quality, with this game it's very demanding on some machines, I'd highly recommend to lower some of the settings in the menu and windowed menu, the reasons is to have the advantage of an higher framerate in an pvp match.
Corbin M yea, I’ve been tuning down the settings a bit to try and up my fps. Also the walking, sprinting, stealth aspect is huge. At the time I made this video I was a bit newer but yea I probably should’ve mentioned it. Thanks for the constructive criticism!

Hey buddy, long term player of rust. Good video. One thing ide say is if you don't have enough to upgrade straight to wood or better, just make a stone foundation with TC on. Lock the TC with all your stuff in. Much more secure :).
Yea, I’ve logged way more hours now and tend to go 1x1 first and then switch to the 2x1. Good tip with the tc and lock. I never even considered that! Thanks!
Thank you so much for this guide 💜! I just bought this game & I was sooo confused 🥴 just running around naked on the beach, I even tried to wake the sleeping people up haha. I'm a console main but I love pvp based survival games so I built a PC but I'm trash with Keyboard and mouse LMAO 😂😭. I'll definitely be playing more now that I have a general sense of what to do. Hopefully everyone isn't K.O.S. because I hate playing alone & I'm friendless on PC 😭😢
It’s a pretty KOS type of game unfortunately. It’ll definitely take some practice but there are newbie friendly servers out there too
Welp i would suggest refund the game you are wayyyy to positive and kind hearted and this game has a very toxic community i would suggest if you dont like people screaming shit talking saying racist shit just turn ur voice chat off kill every1 u see trust no one or just refund the game us just so brutal but yeah hope You Have Fun😁😁
Go to modded and community servers that are not pvp oriented for best experience. There you can find some friendly people who will be glad to help you and you will make some friends.
