This one of Suntup’s releases that I’ve been most looking forward to. I believe mine’s due to arrive Monday. It looks fantastic. Can’t wait to try reading Barker for the first time.
I wouldn’t normally recommend Imajica as a first Barker read. Because it’s a deep complicated book. But this book is so beautiful I don’t think it can hurt!
Hey Jeff, nice music at the end of the this video! Mine landed on my porch yesterday and absolutely love it. It will go on the shelf next to the other purple boxed limited edition from years ago. I have a few different copies of Imajica on the shelf too, a U.S. trade edition signed by Clive at a book store signing in Whittier CA along with a UK trade edition with a different very cool dust jacket, also signed by Clive at the same bookstore. Clive Barker is just a very cool person, I took a stack of his books to this signing and he signed them all without a complaint, as some authors do.
Clive is a genius. I wish I had met him at a book signing before his health issues. I mourn what the world lost with him being laid low! We're all poorer for it. Congrats on the stellar collection and the beautiful recent acquisition.
Well.... it looks like I shit the bed this time. That is incredible. I’ve been meaning to reread it. It’s been 16ish years. That would be the perfect edition to do so. Maybe in a year or two I’ll find one secondary for something reasonable. Congratulations! She’s a beaut!
I received mine today, too, and I agree, Jeff - just magnificent. It's next on my Suntup announcement order reading list, and I'll be reading the AE to enjoy it to the fullest. It will be my first reread of the novel, too. *Really* looking forward to it. Congrats to you for getting a copy. Happy for you, man.
@@THEJEFFWORD It was initially this one until I saw the lettered edition of "Horns". It wasn't a book I was looking at it was a tome and for me it felt that it had weight but not the physical weight. It looks like it holds the weight of consequences like there would be a price to pay if you read it. Suntup did an amazing job on that book. And I'm sorry that I probably will never own that edition but I am glad I got to see it.
This company needs to get their search terms corrected. In recent weeks I have searched for illustrated book publishers, collectable book publishers, and other things but I didn’t discover Suntup until I saw them on your videos. That can’t be right, and there should be a way to adjust the search terms Suntup appears in. Minor rant but it’s only because I am a person specifically looking for this sort of thing and only found it by dumb luck. Good channel by the way.
Sorry you had a tough time finding them. I can shoot them a note about their SEO. Though they do have an incredible web guy. My guess is if you looked up fine press publishers they would have popped up. I’m glad you found them now. And I’m happy you’re enjoying the channel.
I think this IS the best AE so far. It was amazing to look at. I don't want to buy anymore Suntup because I want to save money...then I get his books and I can't resist.
Yup, that's insanely nice. I passed simply because I knew I'd (probably) never read it. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of "Blackwater," for that looks to be an equally impressive door stopper. If McCammon got the Suntup treatment, I could die a happy man. I think there's only 2 books that haven't been released by a small press. If, however, we get a little Blake Crouch this Thursday, I'll gladly settle for that in the meantime.
I want both McCammon and Crouch! I’ll be unapologetically greedy. I’m excited for Blackwater too. I’m only getting numbered with a heaping side of AE regret.
Dude! I've never read any Clive Barker and because of you The word that is Jeff! and this unboxing I'm finding myself totally intrigued by his work that I never knew existed, there is a whole other Clive Barker world outside of his horror. So yeah man I'm pushing some of his books to the top of my pile. I'm starting with WEAVE WORLD cause it sounds bizarre and awesome and I'm all about that worlds within worlds and I'm hoping to get a copy of IMAJICA and read that too but starting with WEAVE WORLD and yeah man Thanks! Sorry for the run on sentencing but I'm super Stoked !
I hope you love Weave World! It's a great read and easier to get into than Imajica. If you like Weave World, check out Cabal as well. Happy reading, man!
Such a beautiful book! I had secured a deal with a dude (along with SOTL) on the secondary market, and then he ended up posting and selling them to someone else... I was pretty bummed at the time, but it's whatever. I just know not to do business with that guy again. I'll get a copy one day.
@@THEJEFFWORD yeah it was a bummer for sure, but it’s all good! Yeah I still haven’t secured a copy of SOTL, I have seen some go up for sale but it just hasn’t been in my budget at the time. But one day it will be on my shelf!

Actually there’s one on eBay right now for $220. That’s a very reasonable price. Original retail was $195.
@@THEJEFFWORD oh shit
I just love Jeff and Producer Jill to pieces.
We love you back!
Aww Scully, we love you too!
💗💗sksksksk🥰
That is a gorgeous edition. I just read Imajica last year.
Thank you! I haven’t read it in about 20 years. Can’t wait to read it again.
Damn! This is another suntup I haven't read yet. Anyway, thanks for the video, Jeff. Enjoy your weekend.
You too Cathouse! If you like Barker you should read Imajica. If you haven’t read Barker before, I’d start with The Books of Blood.
Thank you! It was one I needed to have. It will be my third read once I read this AE.
I really loved the way the Lettered Edition was made. That pixel binding made this my 2nd favorite suntup edition.
Yes, that lettered is incredible. What’s you favorite Suntup?

Even though I did not enjoy the book when it came out I had to have this. Should be here next week and it looks gorgeous.
Awesome! Maybe you’ll enjoy it once you read it as a Suntup edition.

@@THEJEFFWORD yes sir I'm stoked! And ready for the new journey. Check out my newest video I gave you a shout out.
woof!

But seeing this video makes me reallll sad I don't have one in my grubby little paws. It's even better than I IMAJICA'd it being.
LOVE the pun! But hate that someone did you wrong with the sale. I wish I had two so I could send you one. Are you still looking for a SOTL AE?

Careful getting the book out of the foam, Jeff! You're very close to offending community standards! 🤣
HR has been called on me multiple times for this video.
