    Notos all the way !!

  • @BravoBassin
    @BravoBassin ปีที่แล้ว +19

    I own both of these in .22 and I can tell you at least with my 2 that the Umarex Notos hands down kicks the Hatsan Jets 2's butt everyday all day long. In my testing with the ones I have the Notos is more accurate at longer range's super quite lighter and just a nice gun to shoot in my opinion.
    Nothing against my Hatsan jet 2 either as I really like it as well but the Umarex is just a way better gun and if I had to do it over I would have just bought 2 of the notos as the jet is heavier does not have near the range and accuracy as the notos and you are right it is loud and I mean sound like a loud 22 or 17 rim fire going off. I do like the iron sights on the Jet and I like the build as well.
    the range on the jet 2 to shoot accurately is 10yrds out to 20yrds anything after that so far for me is not good at all. But the Notos so far out to 40yrs is a tack driver and will shoot a quarter inch group at that range. I have not been able to take it out farther yet but out to 40yrds with the notos I would have no problem shooting at a rabbit or squirrels head. A far as the Jet I would not shoot past 20yrds and most likely for me at least I will keep it in between 10yrds and 15yrds. Both guns I only shoot 3 mags through them and then re fill the air tanks.

      Does the Notos come with a moderator?

    • @BravoBassin
      @BravoBassin 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@PureBloodWNC yes it does and it is super quiet all you basically hear when you pull the trigger is the click of the trigger and a little puff of air. I have taken out many back yard pest with it and watched there buddies just sit there after i shot the other ones never even flinched. it is a great air gun and well worth buying for sure. I wish I would have just bought 2o of the notos over getting the jet 2. but I do plan on buying another one so I can have 2.

    I went through this choice recently and went with the Notos. For the price it cannot be beat. I'm a big fan of micro carbines also and actually my daily gun I carry in my truck is my Evol Mini. 2 totally different tiers being top and bottom price wise but I thoroughly enjoy shooting both equally. I never would have recommended a gun so cheap before but the Notos hits way higher than the price point and I think everyone should own one!

    Thanks, Rick for this late evening video. My choice would be the Notos, the regulator is for me the selling point. When i was looking for something like this the Notos (and Jet) they were not yet available. Instead, i bought a PP750 Snowpeak. Even cheaper and with the sliding stock easy to convert between "pistol" and rifle.

    Great down to earth no nonsense video. Well done.
    As I'm new to airgunning ive been trying to do my research. Ive heard of so many reliability problems and terrible customer service with hatsan it certainly makes me steer clear of them until they can resolve this.

      The main problem with most of their rifles is threefold.
      1. Quality control is crap at best.
      2. There are no clear instructions on how to adjust the rifle adequately.
      3. They are overpowered to the point they are almost useless.
      I purchased the air max and it was plagued with problems that was unreal. It took me over 3 weeks to get it to group at a quarter size at 50 yards. None of the problems were major, it was numerous small things that was frustrating. The airprobe didn't have a vent hole. The barrel had rust inside of it and was crowned to deep. The Quattro trigger was set up wrong and the pound of the trigger was at the max. The trigger linkage was loose and I had to use o rings to tighten it up. I had to oil every moving part to get it to loosen up. The shroud was over tightened and had to loosen it up so the barrel could float. I had to loosen the hammer because it was shooting way over 1200 fps. Hatsan rifles love heavy pellets, the heavier the better. I use crosman hollow points 14.3 grain and it pushes them like nothing. If the QC was better the rifle would have more respect.

    I haven't shot either one, but I do have both Umarex and Hatsan brands, both seem like nice quality. I did order the .25 Jet II, it will be here tomorrow. I don't mind adding a moderator, and I also preferred not to have this particular platform to be regulated. Either one should be good, but I also wanted more than a .22. As far as I can tell, the Notos is only in .22.

    Thanks. I like the rugged little “ carbines”. I have Jet One and really like it. Like that can hot swap air cylinder. Just sharing out loud- I’d like to see if one of the larger air cylinders from Hatsan that allow hot swap, will fit Jet. That, with little longer barrel. Then I got something.
    Don’t know if you mentioned it - the front blade sight on Jet does adjust for windage.

    I'm disappointed with HATSAN. I HAD PURCHASED A 135 22 HATSAN WHEN it had a spring in side. At shot 4000 the spring broke I sent it back for warranty repair. I thought I would upgrade it to the new vortex ram. A huge mistake. They warranty at least 4 vortex rams and the all went dead in two weeks or less . The 4th went flat after less than 50 shots. Also the trigger had failed one of the cast parts failed. It was taken off warranty and I had purchased the ram and the the trigger and it was shooting perfectly 🥰 then it sat for two week and during that time I was busy setting up my first pcp JTS Standard in 22. Then I was going to crony the HATSAN and compare group but that shifty vortex hatsan ram was flat as a pancake. One would think HATSAN USA would want to make thing right but all they did was price out a spring kit for it. If you look on gateway to air guns web site you will
    L
    Find me under Hatsanman13 and all the great reviews I had done on the hatsan 135. It's a shame on there service department could fix it right at any of the five times they had it back.

    Have a Jet 2. On the front site there's a screw fixing the the site from moving. If you loosen it the site can be moved left or right thus allowing for windage. 😉 Don't forget to tighten the screw.

    My wife and I own both. I like the notos for the looks and overall feel, but the notos trigger is stiff and has a funny feel combined with the magazine and cocking lever are fiddly, not sure ive ever got a full mag through without troubles. The jet 1 we have is far superior in smooth cocking and much better trigger feel, but I hate that the air fitting is not standard foster like the rest of my guns

    I bought the Notos, and could not get air into it :( (Tried both Hill pump and Nomad II compressor). As Nomad II topped off two Marauders, I knew compressor's OK -- and sent Notos to Umarex. Awesome warranty -- received it back 11 days after sending it, to get report that there's nothing wrong with the arm! I tried again, and by hooking desiccant tank to Notos, with normal gun-connector to compressor -- it filled to my 3,000 pound setting. It appears that the air probe I got is out of spec. I spent two hours on Internet to no avail trying to purchase a replacement. So far, this is the only "down" to the Notos. Oh... added magazines seem to not yet be on market, either. I'd surely love to be able to buy two more!

    I just bought the Notos from PYA at 20% off for 233$ and it is so quiet. I'm getting 18 shots before the chronograph numbers start dropping. My suggestion is fill every 2 mags if your shooting the gun stock and Crosman 14.3 grain hp pellets @ 745 FPS. I haven't adjusted a thing on the gun yet and this is what's happening with mine. At 25 yards it is holding an inch group. With Hades 15.89s it is going 735 FPS and the same with Daisy Hollow points 15.4 grain. All 7 shot groups @ 25 yards and around an inch or less.

I am now sending my Notos back and having to buy after market Magazines to see if it will help. I'm sorry I bought the gun, I can't use it, the Jet2 works fine loading pellets. Notos have had its problems with other people and there's even videos on TH-cam about it . . . I have the FX and Air Force carbine . . . Answer to me next to them . . The umarex Notos is trash .

      Light humorous Notos doesn't have any problems . . There's thousands of videos on TH-cam and other social media where people have problems with the human rights notos . . . Don't know what planet you're living on . . . There is a reason Notos only cost less than $300 and a $300 PCP is it considered top of the line . . . Any more than the hatsan and jet is . . ... I have the jet 2 and have had no problems and have enjoyed it very much . . . I had the 25 jet 2 . . . Because to me anything lower than a 25 Cal . . Is nothing but a BB gun .
