Thanks man 😊 .. I have this component in my major project . On my first project review one of the professor asked me about the working of h-bridge(L393d) . I didn't answer it because I don't know . So they said to give the explanation in the next review which happened today morning and I gave the explanation as in the video and they are impressed . Once again thanks man .. do more videos ..

Why would you need all that if you can just reverse 2 wires on dc motor and jave reverse polarity

But does it reverse polarity automatically? Like AC signal? What frequency can it switch?

Strange question for you since I am doing some strange drone stuff:
How would I manage to control a stepper motor driver like the L293D with a flight controller (FC)?
The small 3-5V stepper motor must be able to stop in a specific location, and rotate both directions with rapid response time. The motor is not moving much mass as this is a small control surface, but there needs to be some degree of "braking" in the motor movement.
I don't need to keep absolute track of steps moved, but only rotation in degrees. Can I do this with or without position "feedback" from the motor? Can I progam the motor output signals on the FC to do what I need with only PWM? I know only a bit about electronics and programming. If this does not makes sense to you, can you recomend me someone who can answer my question?
I need to get this built because the imaging system on the drone is really cool, like something out of The Matrix.

      Hey Wiily
Of course, you can control it with FCs. It depends on which FC you are using and you have to program accordingly. But using L293D for drones is a bad choice as there is a great amount of loss generated with these drivers. You can use FET based drivers. Check out this: arduino.stackexchange.com/questions/30258/can-i-use-l293d-driver-as-esc-for-arduino-controlled-quadcopter
Also, I'm very interested in drones. Do share more details about this project with me.

wouldn't motor voltage be much greater than the "1"? that would mean D1 is reverse biased also.

I agree with you. I am working at the moment with this IC and really try to understand it properly. The explanation is in my view not correct. If the motor is on, the current will not run through the diodes. They are placed to let the current run, if the motor is switched off. In normal state the current runs through one output to the other. That means one output is high while the other one is low. Correct me if I am wrong.
