- I picked up a telescopic rod from Kast King on Amazon and went fishing with it.
This was the first time I’ve ever fished with a 1 piece telescopic rod before. I thought it was a good purchase!

After watching this i picked it up but in the heaviest inshore they had. Im going to match it with a slammer 6000 for when I go to Cabo this summer. I just want something to play with in the surf

@@JamesGoff93 so this rod actually worked pretty well. The area on the rod only fits up to a 4k series spinning reel so I put a 4000 Diawa Fuego on it with 40 lb braid. The 6k has a larger plate that attaches to the rod.. I caught a few redfish with it before going to Cabo. In Cabo I caught a 3 foot trumpet fish and 2 large 5 foot eels off the jetty thing they have near the marina. On the way back I did not check it and tried to carry it on and it was taken by Mexican security because you can't have sticks...no selfie sticks, rods, walking sticks...so it was taken from me. I was able to walk on in the US with it no problem....Mexico had a problem with it. It was a nice rod, I babied it because I didnt want it to break but it did catch some fish
