I wouldn't actually recommend going after fish that big with this rod. I caught that fish while i was fishing for bass. I was using 11lh test. In order to target fish that big youd want to use a heavier rod and reel. Although the rod is capable of landing large fish, its not capable of casting large baits@@BH-iv8yu
