Hi, Joe. I have an Air Venturi HPA 4500 psi compressor that I bought from you about three weeks ago (today is 3/5/21) and it is doing really good. It weighs a ton! I'm an above the knee right leg amputee and it was a challenge getting that heavy thing out of it's shipping box and up onto my workbench by myself, but I did it. Where there's a will, there's a way! I also have one of your Alpha filters, It has a bleed valve at the the bottom, but not at the top. I only use the AV HPA compressor to fill the 66 cu.ft. hammerhead tank I bought from you. It sure is a good thing I've never tried to fill one of my PCP guns with it. I realize now that by having no bleeder valve on top of the Alpha filter, my gun would probably still be stuck, under pressure, trapped to the fill whip coming from the Alpha filter. Because the hammerhead tank has a bleeder valve, there's no problem getting the tank disconnected. But I have a QUESTION - On the compressor side of the Alpha filter, do I bleed the Alpha filter BEFORE I bled the AV compressor?
First of all, as usual, very informative video Joe. I am very interested in investing in one of these. However, some observations, and I would like a few questions answered before I spend $2K on this system and accessories: 1) Certainly a video on maintenance of this compressor is needed.2) Are all replacement parts readily available from the US?3) Is there a routine maintenance parts kit?4) Is there proper support documentation for this (Parts List, Exploded Diagram, Electrical Schematic, Etc.)?5) What is the recommended Lubricating Oil for this unit and where can it be obtained?6) What is the recommended oil change-out interval after break-in?7) How often should the $40 Hydroscopic Alpha Filter Cartridge be changed, and are there any physical indicators for determining when a change-out is necessary?8) What is the weight of this compressor?9) What’s the current draw on these units (115V and 230V versions)?10) Warranty information?
We support our customers 100%! 1) We do videos like this all the time for our products, as well as other's 2) We give a full 1 Year Warranty and we stock all parts if repairs are needed (We have 20 pallets of compressors arriving, and often, so we keep parts in inventory). We rarely have issues, but if we do, we'll be able to handle anything that could happen. 3) No routine maintainance necessary. Just change the oil and filter element as needed (we stock those parts as well) 4) Instrcution maual is provided. We are also avilable via phone if one has questions. 5) We have the oil, Instructions have the times for chaning oil, (see answer #4) 7) Fitler element is $39. It should be changed every 2000 Cu Ft (about 20 Great White tank fills). It has an indicator on the actual elelent. We also sell an in-line visual indicator should you choose to equip it. 8) Weight is approxiamately 100 pounds. 9) Works on standard 110VAC circuit (I.e. no special outlet). We order almost 100% 110VAC units, but can also get 220VAC if we have customers in South America. Hope that answers all of your questions. 10) See answer #2
I can do that (Hope I can edit). Drain the water from the Alpha Filter, one simply turns the knob at the bottom of the filter (where we have the gauge).
No. Most don't have a condensate release, nor even a filter. That is another reason why we have the condensate release on our Carette, and Alpha Filter. experthpa.com/cart/cart.php?m=product_list&c=26
It appears that the coolant tube is connected to the head with a quick connect tube fitting so if you push up on the ring of the fitting, the tube will pull out much easier and you won't smash your hand or the breather. If I'm mistaking on the fitting being quick connect I apologize.
Good question. The intent was to review how to set-up a Carette, but thanks for asking. They can be found on the ExpertHPA.com website here: experthpa.com/cart/cart.php?m=product_list&c=20 You might need to copy (Highlight, the URL and hit Control C) and paste (Control V). Have a great week!
Oil level is ok . Coolant also is ok and I have set to 300 bar maximum and minimum is about 100 bar . But when I switch ON is works few minutes and then shut off , when i leave it off few minutes, then start it ON it will work few minutes then again shut OFF. I have release the moisture but still same issue.any advice I will appreciate.
@@AirGunScientistthanks for reply, I have found the problem .the problem was over heating , in our country the temperature can reach to 47c or near to 50C . So I have to put the compressor near the air conditioning . What the oil type we have to use for this compressor?.

Bleed the filter first, so you get all the moisture out.
Received the compressor last Friday. Super easy setup and so simple to fill the new great white! Thank you Joe! And thanks for the video!
Well THANK YOU for the great review!
I was up and shooting today. I love my marauder 25 caliber. Great advice Joe I really appreciate it. You are highly recommended!
Thank you very much
Joe, I’m starting to like this video a lot! You know what that means...... waiting on my Marauder and Tiger tank to be here this Tuesday.
Kip Horton Everybody seems to love them.

Thank you. Maybe you could come do a video on changing the filter elements
OK, We'll do one immediately. Maybe today?
Very nice video. How about showing the draining of the condensation filter?
I can do that (Hope I can edit). Drain the water from the Alpha Filter, one simply turns the knob at the bottom of the filter (where we have the gauge).
Nice Video, How about doing one on maintenance. Like changing the oil, air filter, oil water separator.
OK, we can do that.
Once you master this you will be a plumber, mechanic, electrician, and a nurse
HI, Can you tell if the small DC pcp compressors have a condensate release valve?
No. Most don't have a condensate release, nor even a filter.
That is another reason why we have the condensate release on our Carette, and Alpha Filter.

How are these compressors holding up? Any issues with residual moisture in the cylinders?
They hold up very well, and we give a 2 year warranty on parts.
I had bought one of those auto drain on my shop compressor so I’m used to hearing that psssssss sound
It appears that the coolant tube is connected to the head with a quick connect tube fitting so if you push up on the ring of the fitting, the tube will pull out much easier and you won't smash your hand or the breather. If I'm mistaking on the fitting being quick connect I apologize.
Can someone please tell the exact name of compressor??
The Carette2 is the newest and improved model and available here: www.topgun-airguns.com/product/carette-ii-compressor/
How come they don’t have a Radiator reservoir for the anti freeze
It DOES have a radiator. If you watch the video; at 15:50 you can see the black radiator. It is hidden under the crankcase of the compressor.
Do you use straight antifreeze or do you use water and antifreeze?
I use straight, but 50/50 is ok.
Lol I broke my air inlet cover also... sucks..
How much does that compressor cost ,
It is available here, but you got to call to order it

Do you have it plugged into 120v and having its own dedicated socket. sometimes when its runs with something els plugged in this happens
