That 3 pounder was a good size for the area. He was probably top dog, or second place. I’m glad I’m not the only one who surfs the satellite for good places to fish, and water depths. It’s really helped me find some good honey holes
@@ryanharrod1155Google fisherman depth map, there's a free one that rules. I find a 19 foot hole off of my local pier on the map and snagged a big ass walleye!
The deepest holes are in the outside bend. Current erodes it from that bank and deposits it downriver at the next bend. So that deadfall should be where sediment is being deposited.
Hey M. Hood. Went out to Lake Pontchartrain and pulled out a Black Tip Shark...2.7ft. Couldn't weigh it, but it was a baby, so I was able to get my hook back without harming it, and released it safely. Just wanted to share my experience with you. I'm a fan and have been for a while. Tight lines.
Glad the catfish are biting on the Sabine. I fish the river south of you down around Logansport la and sometimes I do well on the blues.biggist around 8-10 pounds. I eat my fish so I never put back that’s eating size I always say it’s against my religion to put back an eater
Hey M. Hood. Sure miss your fishing vids. Found this one which evidently no one has commented on. I had not liked so glad I found it. Hope you're just burnt out on fishing videos and are doing good. Stay safe and I hope you're still a non smoker. Thanks for this vid.
Hey MHOOD. Good to see you buddy. had a busy day at work and saw this vid come up. Glad to share a minute with you. Thanks for some relaxing chat and a few fish. What the hell else do we need .... maybe a big fish and some coffee maybe. Thank you. see youlater bye.
Go play world of tanks instead of begging for this guys attention. 😂 you’ve commented on multiple videos all of them hating and you’re mad because he won’t reply. You’re acting like a jealous ex bro
I fish the sabine near logansport. The water is extremely low. I've been seeing massive holes in the dirt wall that would be a dropoff when the water is up. Will they return to the old holes, or just burrow out another one?
Where does the Sabine run under 80? I've fished below 69 between Mineola and Lindale. I been off of 155 fishing lately in the Sabine. Im always looking for new spots. Your video is shining new light on how I find holes
i never seen you use big live bait like some the you was catching would made nice big fish bait my friend i would like to see you try that spot with bigger bait to see whats in there friend thanks for the great videos
Where do you live I actually might want to go visit there and try to catch up some big catfish I live in California Quincy and there is so hard to catch fish literally like the water so heavy flowing so slow flowing there's a lot of different stuff here then I'll miss you and it's very hard to catch bass catfish trout so maybe you could give me some tips
Typed in catfish on big muddy Illinois. Saw a man catch blue gill... Thanks man. Look into whole kernel corn. Might make for a monster bluegill video .. good video but please don't use the click bait title.
Hang some lines from those limbs and come back in an hour, make sure you still got live bait still on the hook, small bream, sunfish will work to and keep doing that every hour and I promise you will hook much bigger fish than you will than fishing for them.
I once went to Cumberland didn't catch anything until my last day I went down early to the river and my line got tangled so I cut it and I left it and came back before we left to find a white bass on there
@@OomyZoomy I beg to differ. There's nothing like pulling up to a line that has the limb bouncing up and down. It's not much different than rod fishing except you are allowing a tree limb be your pole. My 2 biggest catfish came off of set hooks. One was 58 and the other was 64. When you pulling that thing up there's nothing like it especially if you know it's huge.
Well the info is wrong, so I would recommend not listening. Outside bends are where the deeper holes are. The point sticking out(inside of bend) that the channel goes around is where the sediment gathered from the previous bend is deposited. This is common knowledge to and creek or river fisherman. The current hitting that outside bend is what scours the hole out.

How do you find the depths? Google earth for spots but what for depths?
