I've dealt with them before, but never to this extent. Parts of this video are now also being cut out. As a result, I have posted the unedited version as it was intended, with no ads, for your viewing pleasure. The above link takes you to that video. I recommend watching it. I was at the final round of the 2000 Open at St Andrew’s. I was there to watch Tiger of course. But my lasting memory of the whole thing was David Duvall’s 2 iron of the second 2nd hole. I was a young lad and had sneaked under the ropes lying down almost on the tee box to the right hand side. And I have never heard an iron hit so crisp and pure it almost sounded like a bullet going off and the ball pierced through the wind. DD had it going on the front nine then collapsed on the back nine and well it was torture to watch him on 17. Great everlasting memory of the best iron shot I have ever witnessed. 🫡🫡🫡🫡
This is amazing. Thanks for putting this together. I was in early high school when he won that 2001 British Open and it influenced me to take up golf then.
I was there at La Quinta, Palmer Course following him. I was sitting on the grass slope behind that par three tee box when he hit that 5 iron stiff. The loudness when he made the putt was insane. He didn't crack a smile and he barely spoke to his caddy. It was my first PGA Tour event and I'll never forget it. I was 24.
One of my distinct pleasurable memories was a day in early 2000's when David and his wife joined me and my wife and played a round at the old FSU course in Florida.....they had just come back from California and stopped over to see a friend in Tallahassee....what an unexpected pleasure.... thank you David for a great afternoon, it was a pleasure
When David and Tiger were on the course together, David was my favorite. And we all know that’s a huge statement as Tiger is the best. Wonderful video.
He was like the iceman, I think that’s where Stenson got it from. Duval would show very little emotion, but he would dominate, I remember. Any serious golfer over 35 now remembers this guy very vividly. Famous swing where he looked forward at impact . Smooth, powerful, accurate. Proved he was highly competitive at the very top tournaments in the world with only the highest caliber pros, occasionally taking down woods in the very thick of his prime . Most underrated player imo. Great biography 👏
I was there on Sunday standing by the fairway on the 18th hole of the Arnold Palmer course when David hit a 340 yard drive to the center of the fairway. And I watched him hit the five iron to 6 feet from the hole and then made the putt. I'm glad I got to witness that round because it was the best final round in PGA history
I rooted for David Duval. He was amazingly talented. People love looking for someone to pick on. A great player and a pleasure to watch back in the day.

Perfect timing. I’ve been watching old DD clips all day at work, only to come home to a new one! Thank you sir.
This is so good! This brought back great memories, Duval was amazing and fun to watch. Great video man! 🔥
It was fun to watch for a couple years. Thank you DD

Thank you for this awesome documentary !
Golf maintenance on Plantation Jacksonville Fl when it was Duval controlled.. probably the coolest management ever
Great video Trevor - well narrated and structured,

That 59 at the American Express is burned into my memory
I still use 962 titleist 975 in 2024 cause of this guy.
Favorite golfer of all time. Thank you !
Job well done on the video, thank you.
33 starts for ten wins is absolutely mad.
GOAT like…….he was the GOAT for about 18 months
I've met David Duval and even have an autographed Momentus Training club. He's a great guy

Duval was Tigers first rival and the guy was Spectacular for 3-4 years……….as a fan, you’ve gotta treasure the moment you see someone ‘in the zone’
I think maybe Ernie was Tigers first rival
I rooted for David Duval.
He was amazingly talented. People love looking for someone to pick on.
A great player and a pleasure to watch back in the day.
And a very likeable fella too.
Golf experts told him that his grip was wrong and he'd never break 80.
I always remember Duval hitting behind that huge boulder in the middle of fairway at Sherwood CC
Duval was just a golfing bad ass. I truly believe losing all that weight and getting ripped screwed him up.
To this day, I would still like to see Duval win another major.
I miss this dude so much
DD was the only player to dethrone prime Tiger from world #1
Vijah did it in 04
Loved that swing
Would love to see DD win on the Champions Tour
I remember the Nike ball DD
One of the most beautiful swings but,you can see that potential back problems were inevitable.
The original Iceman 🥶
David Duval: Golf’s biggest what if? Injuries, man…
If he didn't get injured, Tiger would have about 8-9 majors.
Thanks for the comment. Yeah it would be so interesting to see what happened if Duval stayed, well, prime Duval for longer
U just cant duplicate that swing the greats always got that
David was the Scottie Scheffler of his era. He seemed to be another Tiger but then he just vanished.
only 33 starts to win 10 titles. that's sick, beating Tiger by 36
10 wins in 33 starts.... I'll take that failure ratio. The media is so ruthless.
How did Moe Norman make this video. 😂
Personally my favorite player of all time. Without his medical issues, we’ll only God knows that answer.
Stadler and his son won on the same week ?? No guys? Thank u
David was a problem. Thank you
Then he was gone..
like a leaf in the wind
What are we whispering? Not fun....
I can't hear you
