Apart from ghosts Ryung almost didn't have any bio. So he probably thought that single marine in the middle of all that mech was a changeling. Or Ryung wanted to free the supply for worthier units.
a single marine doesnt do you any good. Scramble some micro oportunities though. If you tab through your control group it is annoying to have an additional type of unit. Also changeling danger probably

I just want to point out that in game 1, Ryung opened with two rax, two CC, then two ebay. Standard 3 CC build is rax, CC, factory, CC, starport. so when Tasteless says this is the greediest build he could possibly cast, the only game i can imagine being greedier is 5 hatches before pool, which was a joke build Fenner went for on like a dozen years ago. I've never seen greed like this in a professional match work out before. NUTS
I doubt that. Solar overextended way too often, made very little harrassment-attempts and didn't try to establish a proper defense for his forward bases. He focused almost solely on two attack routes. Whenever he did multipronged attacks and ling runbys Ryung was really in trouble but Solar didn't do that often enough. He also didn't try to use lurkers or nydus to widdle down his infrastructure. I think he just was surprised by this kind of style. He probably would take a different approach next time.
Terran nerfs can't get here fast enough. Solar hardly played a perfect game but ghostmech is just too OP late game vs zerg. State and Tasteless kept talking about Solar overextending in g2 but he *has* to - terran can just camp behind tanks and ghosts and PFs and force the zerg to come to them, off creep, where you get shelled by tanks coming in and sniped by ghosts going out. Zerg has to *dramatically* outplay the Terran (or the Terran has to make some huge mistakes) to win late-game in TvZ. That's probably why you're seeing a lot of zergs go for timing pushes and aggressive builds in TvZ... they know that if the game goes late, they're probably going to lose. A similar problem exists in TvP, again centered on ghosts being way too efficient at trading in the late game.
Oh dear. Listening to State on 0.25 speed is too funny. A lot of people sound drunk when you do that, but with his cadence he sounds like he's slurring really badly. 😀
Brood lords are garbage can we get a buff for them, and please in the mean time stop making them? Leaving them as corrupters just better all around most of the time.
Zerg doesn't really have an option. You have to use BLs to force T to stop pumping tanks and switch into ghost/thor (or ghost/viking I guess lol) so that your ling/ultra can actually make it to the terran lines before dying, so they can get sniped to death when they try to fall back. Z doesn't have an answer to properly arrayed tank lines without BLs. Vipers work, kinda. Ravagers work, kinda. But both tend to be trades, they often don't survive the process of killing the tanks. BLs will kill tanks all fucking day if T doesn't have long range like ghost or thor to deal with them. The problem is that Z does not have any answer whatsoever to ghostmech other than "be a lot better than them." But that's not going to work as you're heading into ro8 and beyond.
