I get those maples all the time where I live. I believe they are called Norway maple weeds. If you don't have maples in your area. Birds or the wind is most likely the reason your getting these saplings. In my area. If you don't remove them they will overtake an area quickly like hedge and cedar. This is just my point of view but I think of them as invasive plants. Those 3 trees will take over a pasture in just a couple of years or less. That's part of the reason why people burn fields (prairie fires).
