Another good video Karen, you really have a good respect for your cattle. When working in Tasmania, Australia I had to castrate a number of 18 month old Hereford bulls when I was in my twenties and it was a very daunting task, but all the bulls survived. It was done in a proper cattle crush and the owner kept them entire to select some for breeding from, with those not selected being castrated.
Karen it must be hard watching pippi in pain hopefully she will be pain free soon it can’t be easy for you waiting it’s part of farming life and you are a star keep the videos coming ❤
Another cracking update, thank you Karen Your love for your stock is obvious and the gains are brilliant A great clip of the cattle in the race lol definitely a cut above Ya dad has taught you well, you are a credit to farming and your family Take care Geoff
this is a great video, i ve seen two bulls born on the same day and 12 months later two completely different beasts, it could be for many different reasons, parents genetics or simply one likes his grub more than other, I love your commitment you are a credit to your family,
Hi karen.i could not stop laughing when U were explaining about Bert and ernie.u were so afraid a wrong word was going to slip out.the fear in Ur face talking about it was priceless.i think U did the right thing with the heifer with the bad leg.hate to see them in pain.i hope u enjoyed ur night in Galway city.take care karen.keep up the good work.
"Karen" you look beautiful?? Why do people say things like this in comments. Can you not just comment on aspects of a developing farm, or the various work being carried out etc
Great explanation regards the weights & if it works so much the better. Great weather at the moment my lawn will have to get another shearing. Keep 'er Lit.
I've been around cattle most of my life And I just wonder why you shaved there back first time I've seen that done and keep the videos coming take care
Glad your dad had a word with you about cutting the wood properly 😂😂. Great video again. The last time I went to Galway I lost 2 days 😂😂 enjoy your time away
Thanks again Karen for another interesting video Karen, sorry about your lame calf,it's hard to see them unwell and tough decisions have to be made. You are doing a great job ❤
I think I am right in saying a bull that has been squeezed can still get a heifer in calf for up to three weeks after the squeezing took place. I remember having the same argument with my uncle 35 years ago. I can't remember where I got that snippet of information from. x Jim in NZ
Hallo Karen another great video you are a plummer and a barber as well as top class farmer the silage looks top quality and dry what do you think happend pippie foot
I'm not sure, I thought it looked like spastic parisis (think that's how you spell it) and is basically when the muscle grows too fast but now with her front leg looking about dodgy I'm not sure
@EdwardBrady-ls6up Oh sorry. I wouldn't say she's much more than 330kg. I didn't run her out for weighing that day because it would be too much for her
There is a far better market for bullocks/steers over bulls. Besides that bullocks are obviously far more docile than bulls and so are easier to keep and handle

I've been around cattle most of my life And I just wonder why you shaved there back first time I've seen that done and keep the videos coming take care
Backs are shaved when they are brought inside for winter. Let's them release heat preventing them from sweating. Reduces risk of pneumonia.
That's exactly it 😁
@@fraserblair9877 thank you for your response I didn't know that here at home we don't do that
Your Dad is right, two completely different animals.

What kind of nuts do you feel the cattle? Nuts are very expensive in Texas.
Sorry when I say nuts I just mean ration
Galway won’t know what hit it tomorrow night 😂😂😅😅🤣🤣
9min 17 u nearly need a wider crush. Well looked after animals
The cows barely fit
Those animals have backs as broad as a footpath Karen....fair play to you. You are handy with the saw too......sorry about poor Pep.....
They looked good from that angle alright 😁
Sorry about Pippi
I hear you like the ballet = The Nutcracker ?? haha
😂😂
Big question is,can the tan last till xmas?
😭😭
2nd 😁
You should be a hairdresser
What weight is the heifer
There was a few heifers there
I mean the one that is going to factory.
@EdwardBrady-ls6up Oh sorry. I wouldn't say she's much more than 330kg. I didn't run her out for weighing that day because it would be too much for her
Why castrate the calves at all ? I don't get why you don't let them keep their tackle until slaughter.
There is a far better market for bullocks/steers over bulls. Besides that bullocks are obviously far more docile than bulls and so are easier to keep and handle
🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🤩🤩🤩😘👍👍👍
❤❤❤❤what your boots name
Sorry about your calf😢
Ah for feck sake wouldn't you put on the down pipe 😂😂😂😂
I don't know where it is. I'm actually doubting that it exists now 🤣
How're your bales looking, quality looks pretty good, can nearly smell it😂❤
No waste so far so that's good. will send it off for testing next week
That crush is lethal. Not secure enough for cattle. I
I've mentioned it in previous videos. I'm in the process of replacing it
You talked an awful lot of bullocks on this video Karen. 😅

Not good your favourite shehan is getting bigger
