Noor. You see things most of us don’t see. I hate genetics, but this video made me realize that may be it’s not that complicated. Once I see those band stuff, I stop thinking. Great video!
@@acingmedicine Thank you so much, this is the best genetic explanation I have come across. please if you can, the hardy weinberg equation explanation will be so helpful and soo appreciated.
Hi, I have one question . U said if parents not affects and offspring are affected is always recessive . I did one question in nbme in which Parents not affected and ans was Autosomal dominant with variable expressivity.??? Please explain
Ohh missed that, thanks Nivedita! you mean incomplete penetrance though? .A condition is said to show incomplete penetrance when some individuals who carry the pathogenic variant express the associated trait while others do not. so even if the parents have the genotype they may not show it but their children would. Variable expressivity is something else, it's how the disease expresses itself differently in different people. For example Marfan syndrome has complete penetrance ( it will always show as long as you carry the gene) but if in person X it will cause long fingers, in person Y it will cause lens subluxation (as in it expresses itself differently; variable expressivity)
@@niveditasingh369 NF1 has complete penetrance but variable expressivity. which means if you inherit the gene you must express the disease phenotype (complete penetrance), but your symptoms maybe different from those of your sibling (variable expressivity) do you understand the difference?
Hey Noor, can you make some videos on important physio topics like cvs respi n renal. I really like your approach of doing questions, after one n half month I have my step 1 exam. TIA
Thank you very much for taking time and effort to explain this topic, I needed to visit this topic and you did great job.
Glad you liked it!
Thank u for your videos. I love the question solving approach you take. Please continue to make more.
I’m glad you liked them Racquille!

Means a lot Solomon! Great to hear that you’re getting more comfortable with genetics. Keep it up!
these are so simply elastraed.thank u.
I’m so glad it helped !
I just love your videos! They are informative and fun. Thank you :)
I'm so glad you like them, thank you Aadhya!

@@acingmedicine oh thankyou, it means we have memorise these ds with variable expressivity. My question was relate to NF1
