people talk about how its nice of nintento to take fan ideas, but they don't mention the fact that nintendo constantly shuts down fan projects, so this is pretty dirty of them
When you stop and think about it, who really took ideas from who? Is it really that farfetched to think the ideas were made completely independent of each other? Consider: 1. Mario's standard "flower" outfit is red overalls with an associated color: fire white, ice blue, puffy white cloud, etc 2. The most commonly associated color to bubbles is pink, thanks to bubblegum and bubble bath marketing. Idea Source 3. Luigi has used pink in Smash Bros since the 64 in 1999, and people have even modded Mario to have a pink outfit based on it. (Idea Source?) 4. The bubble concept was first used in Mario with with the baby blue yoshis in 2012, and function the exact same way: turn enemies into coins/power ups, bounce off bubbles. 4b. This is 4 years before the rom hack, so who copied who? Did the hack copy the idea from Nintendo's yoshis, but made it a power up to make it easier to code than these yoshi? 5. Pretty much all of Mario's powers that create something (cloud, fire, snowball, etc) all use a flower. The mushrooms, however, tend to be used if they morph Mario's form in some way (big, tiny, massive, spring, drill, bee, etc) so the Flower is easily the logical choice to be used as the object. All these "too many coincidences" are very easily explained away as nothing but common standards. They're all "1st thing you think of" scenarios, which makes it complete understandable for there to be overlap despite completely independent idea groups.
1. Its a flower 2. Mario turns pink 3. The bubbles kill an enemy immediately, turning it into a coin 4. The bubbles can be bounced on There's no way that this is a coincidence
1. So is the fire flower, the cloud flower, the ice flower, the boomerang flower, etc. The flower is extremely common when it comes to powers the create something, like bubbles and snowballs. 2. The most commonly associated color with bubbles is pink. Thank bubblegum and bubble bath for that. 3. Nintendo did that first with the baby blue yoshis in 2012, 4 years before the rom hack. 4. Again, Nintendo did that first with the baby blue yoshis in 2012, 4 years before the rom hack. Extra: Luigi has had a pink outfit in Smash Bros since the 64 in 1999, and is a very popular one. In fact, people have made mods to give Mario a pink outfit because of it. Its very possible one of the idea people like to use Pink Luigi in Smash, and thought "If pink was a power up, what ability would it have?" So yeah, don't be so quick to write it off, cause it absolutely can be a coincidence.
So, they got inspiration from that... maybe they liked the idea! And they took it, plus it goes very well with a superpower that is not too violent (there is no blood or guts or anything). However, it's a bit sad that they don't give credit to whoever came up with this idea (or was it just a coincidence? If so, it's surprising, but if it's not, then it must be the first time Nintendo has taken the idea of a fan game and they don't reject it). It could also be a reference/tribute to the video game Bubble Bobble.
It's not the first time, most of the time nintendo takes down whatever fan game they took the idea from... They did the same thing with mario 99 and mario battle royale
It's almost like Nintendo has a history of subtly stealing from small creators and throwing bitch fits whenever someone else does it And imagine that they get SO GOOD AT CONVINCING PEOPLE OF IT that it's lawded as a good idea
Mario's standard "flower" outfit is always red overalls with an associated color, and the most commonly associated color with bubbles is pink. Thank bubblegum and bubble bath for that.
I knew it looked familiar. Also does anyone remember that old video of fanmade power-ups with Levels by Avicii in the background? One of them was called the Tuba Flower, which looks eerily similar to the Talking Flower…
I have no idea with companies taking fan ideas and implementing them into their games, but Nintendo is the type of company to take down any fan work related to their games
Bubble Flower uses the exact same design scheme as the Fire Flower. Fire flowers makes Mario and Luigi's clothes white, and colors their overalls with their corresponding colors(Red-Mario, Green-Luigi). Bubble Flower is the exact same except replace White with Pink. Should also note that a Deviantart user has also come up with this idea independently in 2019 before.
i'm pretty sure they've stolen this idea from this hack, it cannot be a coincidence, and yeah they didn't even dare crediting the creators of the hack. Great, big N.
Yeah. While the Bubble Power-Up in Wonder doesn't work identically in the same way as blue Baby Yoshi, it surely do work the same way as in SMW Hack. It even looks the same.

How is it nice of them to steal ideas, I mean they can do whatever with their property but still.
@@JuhoSprite thats what im saying
I highly doubt that they stole this tho, more likely than not it's a coincidence.
its just the most obvious way to make a bubble power up
@@Boooo also true, its always either light blue or pink
That means we could get the Thunder Mushroom from Pearls of Wisdom in a future game.
Doubt it, as this has a high chance of SMBW being the final 2d Mario Game I mean do you see ALL that shit they added
Idk if they can work again
@@EffortlessActivities3111 You're kidding right? "Final 2D Mario"? Only person you're fooling is yourself with that one. Thanks for the laugh, though.

@@fãndocoldplay No, I did.
Possibly inspired by Bubble Baby Yoshi from NSMBU?
A mario romhack stole the bubble flower from NSMBU!?

For me, fans have made so many original power ups that Nintendo doesnt even care anymore if they stole someone idea.
I also remember a Deviantart user who made the exact same power up idea.
- the costume was much more bubblier however in the DA, compared to Wonder
Yep, i knowed. Bubble Flower is back form New Super Mario World: The Twelve Magic Orbs!
I always used to play this and now that they made this canon its better
both are even pink lmaoo

My eyes widen when I found this out
They didn't steal, it's just that ANY IDEA THAT THEY COME UP WITH, *IS ALREADY IN A FANGAME!*
DAS WHAT I'M SAYIN! ITS THE SAME COLORS AND ALL
Guys.. time to viralize this ! For the sake of all the fan projects Nintendo took down so evilly and selfishly !
I KNEW IT, I'M NOT CRAZY!!! But honestly, the bubble is terrible in 12 Magic Orbs.
OK, and? New Super Mario Bros. U & Kirby Squeak Squad came before the Mario World ROM Hack. How is Nintendo "stealing" anything here?

To be fair, the bubble might be inspired by blue yoshi,.but the pink suit is a rip-off by Nintendo.

Blue Baby Yoshi anyone
What level is that in that ROM hack? I like the song
Just coincidence
Foi isso que vi quando assisti esse trailer.
