For the Wonder effect, I think they should do it like there are 3 options for the effect: change the current world into Wonder mode, change the player itself, or send the player into another separate “Wonder” sub-area. The creator could place down Wonder parts or tell existing parts to only appear (or disappear) when in Wonder Mode.
Badges are what I would be moist excited to see in Mario Maker 3! I want to see their usability pushed to the limit! The game would low-key be a Sonic Maker with the jet run badge lol
5:07 A cool idea I have is that they could give you the option to combine 2 different themes into one if there would be a Super Mario Maker 3. When you're combining these themes you could get a mix of both, they would look different and maybe even sometimes have cool mechanics. For example, if you combine the desert theme and the sky theme, you get the mountain theme.
There's a good reason to suspect that a Mario Wonder mode was planned for SMM2, but the game's development took too long and it had to be scrapped. That's why there's an empty slot next to SM3DW.
I would love if we had both, but I'm not sure if we will. If that's not the case, I would prefer if we had just 3D instead of just Wonder added. With Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy and obviously 3D World. Especially since, I make Mario 64 Bloopers, and this 3D Mario 64 Maker would allow me to make my own areas for my Bloopers, and that would be so incredible ! It would allow me to make so much more things and make so much more new stories with these custom areas.
I hope that the mario maker game with super Mario wonder in it allows for more creative and complicated things, possibly using those flowers that make things happen. Mario maker allows for a lot, but it also is very restricting sometimes.
I think it would be really cool if they let players add/combine multiple wonder events, like the final level and second to last bonus level. I would like to make a level titled: “Wonderthon!”

Honestly, I could see this happening in a potential SMM3 alongside the SMAS versions of SMB1 and SMB3, as well as Super Mario Bros. 2, both Super Mario Land games, and Super Mario 64 (hey, they did it before with SM3DW) as Game Styles, with Beach, Swamp, Lava, and Factory being new Course Styles as well. And here are the respective Night effects for the four aforementioned Course Styles: Beach: The normally flat-looking water becomes more wave-like. Swamp: Gravity is reduced due to nighttime swamp gasses, meaning your jumps are less effective and Thwomps have the power to break Ground tiles as a result. Lava: A ceiling of lava similar to World 5-Fortress 2 from SMB3 and one of the levels shown in SMBW with the fireball-throwing Spikes appears alongside the lava that normally does. Factory: A reticle appears that works similarly to the Wonder Effect of Fluff-Puff Peaks Flying Battleship, except it works closer to Kroc from DKC3 and DK64, and fires explosive Spike Balls that one-shot the player similar to the latter depiction of Kroc from the Crystal Caves level. The key indicator for when the reticle stops and whoever is offscreen is about to fire is Bowser's trademark laugh (preferrably, the one from Super Mario 64 that was sped up and given an echo effect for Boo's laugh in the same game). P.S.: I could definitely see the return of the Ice Flower for all Game Styles, as well as the Power Balloon acting as a permanent version of the Wonder Effect of Bloomps of the Desert Skies, albeit without the translucency to be more consistent with SMW's version of the Balloon forms and without the constant nighttime sky (which is actually reserved for when the Moon is in play or the player sets the Course to nighttime on their own accord). That, and we'd have Yellow Toad, Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina as playable characters in addition to Mario, Luigi, Blue Toad, and Toadette, giving players more character options for both single-player and multiplayer. That, and a new Story Mode where Mario and his friends have to rebuild Florian's Castle much like they did Peach's Castle.
you know how you can use pipes to link sub-areas? what if you could make a custom wonder event by using a copy and pasted sub area of your level that activates and deactivates with the wonder flower and wonder seed. then you could edit it and make it seem like the course terrain merely changed a bit, instead of entering a sub area
Here's my Idea for implimenting Wonder effects into a Maker Game: The wonder flower works as a container that you can drag basically any item into, and the wonder effect that happens is based on what you put in. Drag in a Goombah: become a goombah. put in a semisolid platform: perspective shift. put in a pipe: Living pipes. Put in a bubble flower: rising bubbles. etc.
That would be Awesome, but more importantly we need Toad, Red Toad, and Yellow Toad in the game as playable characters I wonder what Toad's fire flower looks like for real, Grey Mushroom with Red Spots, or Red Toad's being Red Mushroom with Red Spots But let's throw Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, and "The 1994-2015 Pauline Design" We should also have New Yoshi's as Mounts in the game like if you shrink the Yoshi egg, it would turn Purple for Poison Yoshi, or add more pipe colors like Orange, Purple, and Grey I'll return to you Nintendo if you decide to celebrate a real Mario Anniversary (His 50th Anniversary in 2031)
so i have an idea for wonder effects, where basically, the player can set the wonder effect, place the wonder flower wherever they want, and said wonder effect will happen. but there would be an option for more than 1 wonder flower (and effect), the limit being 3. as for badges, the player would be assigned a badge for the level based on it's theme, but they can change this badge through the pause menu. and if they are struggling very badly and keep dying over and over, then builder luigi will appear and grant them an extra badge to use. also, they should add NPCs. the talking flower could be where you can record your own messages for it or use pre-made ones. they could also add captain toad (for all styles including wonder), and he would simply give you tips or suggest a badge. it could also be the return of mystery mushrooms, in SMB1 (or possibly 2) it would do what it did in mario maker 1. in mario wonder, it would grant the player a random standee.
But seriously though, we ought to make a top 10 elements from Wonder to add to Mario Maker. 1) Trigger flowers: flowers that when touched, triggers an action on another object and such. 1a) Triggers can also be attached to the state of objects. 2) Trigger actions: This can be time-based, or linked to a trigger source (like trigger flowers), or both 2.1) Triggered platform/block/pipe movement 2.2) Triggered platform/block/pipe presence 2.3) Triggered object spawn 3) Directional boost pads: Upgrade this to also automatically enter pipes ala 3D world 4) Multi-plane 5) Pull-rope thingies: This also links to trigger actions. 6) Raising terrain: Lava pillars in lava stages, water pillars in water stages, sand pillars in sand stages, etc 7) Jars: Objects that can be picked up, and possibly contain other objects and/or enemies. 8) Colour-coded key doors 9) "Wonder" effects: Though they are technically wonder effects, they shouldn't be implemented as something that only occurs when you pick up the wonder flower. Though the "wonder" effect would still be implemented as a decorative element thing that can be triggered. 9a) Goomba, wubba, hoppicat, ball, cake transformation: Changed to powerups. Powerups / player property can be associated as a trigger action. 9b) Stage effects (top-down, state rotation, darkness, no-grav, speed-up, slowdown) Changed to a trigger action 9c) Invincible enemy: Changed to an enemy property (attach super-star to enemy). My idea is that they make Mario Maker 3 divided into two modes - 2D styles and 3D styles, making it possible to include the SMB Wonder style while expanding on the 3D World style and adding more (like Super Mario 64). It could make a pretty good launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2!
If Super Mario Maker 3 also ends up including all the game styles from the previous two installments, then Mario and Luigi will be voiced by Charles Martinet in the New Super Mario Bros. If they made a wonder style for mario maker 3, they should make it if you want a badge for a level, then you need to like play a badge level that was pre-made before you can use the badge to make a level with it.
You know people are gonna take advantage of the feature right? They'll make the flowers say bad or inappropiate things, if people record their own voice.
I know this is crazy but what if there were moderators, and you could send wonder event requests (prob through website/app). These could be rejected or denied. Then when they are finished they would have an ID and you could type it into the flower. Idk though they probably wouldn’t go THAT far.
I think this would be too easy, SMW already feels like it was made in an unreleased version of Super Mario Maker 3, it might even in a DLC for SMW. Personally I would like to see them mix the gameplay of SMW and SMM somehow like you are modifying a level as you are playing it by hitting switches and flowers while platforming.
Okay so here's what I think: We all need a new Mario Maker, it's really overdue! But Nintendo has got to do more than add smb Wonder, like 1.) adding new features and enemies to the other styles (different things so that every mode is something special) 2.) adding a completely new style exclusive to SMM3 3.) adding 3D mode, like you said 4.) making creating levels more fun and prevention of timmy levels 5.) making competitive and cooperative mode something special and rewarding 6.) fully using the potential of world maker! There's LITERALLY so much we could do with world maker. So. Much. Also I had an idea that there'd be a monthly contest for a new idea (enemy or item, whatever really). There should be the 60 wonder effects but the player can choose witch wonder effect and for the bullrush effect there should be a line that the player can drag around and the bulrush’s will follow the line.

Nintendo also needs to bring back the Amiibo functionality in Super Mario Maker. 3. The whole point of the Amiibos in the first game was to give the players different costumes. How about this time when using the Amiibos, players will have the ability to play as that character with there abilitys in tact. Not just for the original Mario Bros course font but for all of them instead. Just imagine playing as Kirby through Mario Wonder courses while copying abilities from the various enemies in the game.
12:55 I think that Mario Maker 3 should have two different versions of Bowser and Bowser Jr in the Wonder Game style! Version 1 will have the normal Bowser and Bowser Jr before they have the Wonder Flower, They will act like usual selfs like Bowser blowing Fire balls and Jr Hoping and trying to crush you with new attacks like Bowser will do a jump slam or Bowser Jr bringing Mecha Koopas or Bob-ombs out to fight with him. Hit Junior once and he will go into Version 2! As for Bowser once your throw enough fire balls he'll go down but theres a twist! Bowser will jump back and get a wonder flower and then he will transform! Version 2 Will have Bowser become the Final Boss which I'll make a name for him: Wonder DJ Bowser will act like he did at the Bowsers Rage Stage boss fight!!! For Bowser Jr, he will act like he usual does in wonder but this time with a few new moves!
A wonder style wouldn’t need to be exactly the same as wonder itself. 3D World is esthetically similar but functionally it isn’t the same game because obviously it’s not in 3D. I think they could do the same with Wonder. However, I just wanna see them add more parts and enemies to the other styles. I’d also like to see amiibo costumes return. I feel like it’s such a loss because you could create entire levels based around certain power ups and you just can’t do that in the sequel. It was a great way to actually use an amiibo. I can’t understand why they didn’t bring it back. I’d guess it will probably stay gone though sadly.
I definitely think a Wonder style for Mario Maker would work better than a 3D Mario Maker. (It wouldn't be a bad idea to add an Odyssey, or 64 game style like they did with 3D World, but how would that work?)

I think they wouldnt make a new mario maker, i think they would release DLC for wonder that includes a level maker. this way it would be completely built from the ground up for making mario wonder levels

It’s a guarantee we will get the Super Mario Wonder style when Super Mario Maker 3 comes around.
If they made a wonder style for mario maker 3, they should make it if you want a badge for a level, then you need to like play a badge level that was pre-made before you can use the badge to make a level with it.
Hopefully they let us do these things in all of the styles unlike the 3d world style

you guys are forgeting about the tiny flowers that can change stuff like moving pipes or summoning coins
I know this is crazy but what if there were moderators, and you could send wonder event requests (prob through website/app). These could be rejected or denied. Then when they are finished they would have an ID and you could type it into the flower. Idk though they probably wouldn’t go THAT far.
I think this would be too easy, SMW already feels like it was made in an unreleased version of Super Mario Maker 3, it might even in a DLC for SMW. Personally I would like to see them mix the gameplay of SMW and SMM somehow like you are modifying a level as you are playing it by hitting switches and flowers while platforming.

Okay so here's what I think:
We all need a new Mario Maker, it's really overdue!
But Nintendo has got to do more than add smb Wonder, like
1.) adding new features and enemies to the other styles (different things so that every mode is something special)
2.) adding a completely new style exclusive to SMM3
3.) adding 3D mode, like you said
4.) making creating levels more fun and prevention of timmy levels
5.) making competitive and cooperative mode something special and rewarding
6.) fully using the potential of world maker! There's LITERALLY so much we could do with world maker. So. Much.
Also I had an idea that there'd be a monthly contest for a new idea (enemy or item, whatever really). The best thing gets implemented into the game (alongside normal updates that shouldn't end too soon). Feel free to comment any other ideas so we can find the potential for SMM3 and hope for it!
There should be the 60 wonder effects but the player can choose witch wonder effect and for the bullrush effect there should be a line that the player can drag around and the bulrush’s will follow the line.
They better announce Mario Maker 3 in the next Nintendo Direct. I’m calling it.

What if the Koopalings are available in the Mario Wonder game style (even if they're not in Mario Wonder itself)? So that there would be more variety for bosses.

yup , gonna be honest the game was pretty disappointing, only 3 new powerups? , only 1 returning , only 2 different boss (characters) , boss battles in general sucked , we need a dlc

Nintendo also needs to bring back the Amiibo functionality in Super Mario Maker. 3. The whole point of the Amiibos in the first game was to give the players different costumes. How about this time when using the Amiibos, players will have the ability to play as that character with there abilitys in tact. Not just for the original Mario Bros course font but for all of them instead. Just imagine playing as Kirby through Mario Wonder courses while copying abilities from the various enemies in the game.

12:55 I think that Mario Maker 3 should have two different versions of Bowser and Bowser Jr in the Wonder Game style!
Version 1 will have the normal Bowser and Bowser Jr before they have the Wonder Flower, They will act like usual selfs like Bowser blowing Fire balls and Jr Hoping and trying to crush you with new attacks like Bowser will do a jump slam or Bowser Jr bringing Mecha Koopas or Bob-ombs out to fight with him. Hit Junior once and he will go into Version 2! As for Bowser once your throw enough fire balls he'll go down but theres a twist! Bowser will jump back and get a wonder flower and then he will transform!
Version 2 Will have Bowser become the Final Boss which I'll make a name for him: Wonder DJ Bowser will act like he did at the Bowsers Rage Stage boss fight!!! For Bowser Jr, he will act like he usual does in wonder but this time with a few new moves!
SMB2 Is A good Choice, And Adding The lost level features to SMB Is nice.

A wonder style wouldn’t need to be exactly the same as wonder itself. 3D World is esthetically similar but functionally it isn’t the same game because obviously it’s not in 3D. I think they could do the same with Wonder. However, I just wanna see them add more parts and enemies to the other styles. I’d also like to see amiibo costumes return. I feel like it’s such a loss because you could create entire levels based around certain power ups and you just can’t do that in the sequel. It was a great way to actually use an amiibo. I can’t understand why they didn’t bring it back. I’d guess it will probably stay gone though sadly.
The reason why it’s not in Mario maker because of Mario wonders of the flower kingdom but normally every game is like in the mushroom kingdom

I definitely think a Wonder style for Mario Maker would work better than a 3D Mario Maker.
(It wouldn't be a bad idea to add an Odyssey, or 64 game style like they did with 3D World, but how would that work?)

I feel like you'd have to have mario bros wonder to make mario bros wonder levels. maybe it will check for a mario wonder save file, and if it finds one then you can make levels in mario wonder. kind of like dlc...? idk. well, whatever it may be, this feature wont be free. (haha, that rhymed.)
