Teutons have knights that have a passive resistance from civ, with paladins in tech tree so they still viable if played with right civs if your truly trying to counter monk spams

Hera would be awesome if you can do a guide on what to do if you are later up to each age - Feudal, Castle, Imperial and facing say early Scouts, early Knights, early Arbalest, or early trebuchets. Also some guide like should you wall, should you tower, should you stay in Castle Age etc.?

As someone who kinds of hate the game, I disagree. There are very few ranged units in feudal, and one of those actually counter archers. In castle, a big group of knights won't have problems just mowing down walls even with quickwalls, which aren't really easy to achieve, monks are expensive, and so are onagers, which both can be countered by, ironically, knights. Even now, I'd say knights are some of the most unbalanced units in the game, for better or worse, but you won't win with archers alone unless you are playing brits, and even then.

Before the pathing was this awful, knight was the epitome of castle age rush, even for civ without decent cavalry like vikings and malay, all thanks to its raw stats and mobility. Knight is a broken unit that was only held back by an external issue which is melee path finding.

Shouldn't be able to block with unfinished buildings. So sad that's such a big part of competitive play. You should have known what he had and build actual counter units instead of these cheap tricks that make no sense ;)

There's actually a suicide button on the UI. The player killed them so it won't get converted by another player's monk. You can see the monk at the bottom of the screen

I have played so many times (campaigns) and 2 weeks ago I learned that knights are weak against monks 😅 hahaha, need to practice that strategy.

Elephants too. So in case you get an opponent that is massing Elephants, if you have like 12+ monks, they will absolutely panic
