It doesn't seem to be widely known that the Momentum 3's can be powered off without folding them up. Hold down the "play/pause" button for 5 seconds or so. You will hear "Power Off" as confirmation. To power back on, you will need to fold up the headphones and then open them back up. Works great and useful for those that want to put these on a regular stand.
After watching your review, I feel that I made the right choice buying Sennheiser. I haven't had the chance to try them out yet, but I'm sure I'll love them. Plus, at $245 when they were on sale at the end of November, I don't feel guilty about spending too much $$$.

I owned Momentum 3 before and now I have HX, and the first impression is that touch control in HX is a nightmare and completely useless. Why don't use reliable buttons instead? It's just a waste of money. Momentum 3 on the other hand give you complete control via physical buttons. 2:52 - "Beoplay HX has a mixture of physical and touch controls and all of them works perfectly fine". How much did they pay you to say this??? Their touch control is horrible.

So by the time i made this video I learnt how to use them. But as you mentiopned, I should not have said "perfectly fine" . It works OK at best and definitely not worth it if they cost so much money. 🙂
You have these comparisons down. For me the HX fit, sound quality and voice quality makes them just right for me, and I own the M3 as well. The M3 is just too big for me. Like clothing, no headphones are the right fit for everyone. Just not enough try on rooms to find the right ones.

On Amazon I saw a video illustrating that hx headphones at high volume, it sounds very bad. And you're talking about it here, too. * The disadvantages in m3 are that they do not sit on the chest and the battery has a shorter life. (I'll have to live with that). * Please keep your safety. When you survey from the road you will stand in the direction of the traffic behind the vehicle. * Everyone talks only about the basses but it is also important to talk about the high notes. * Good coverage Thank you very much, probably going for the m3.
actually since this video B&o made an update and the problem I am speaking of is gone and the sound gets a nice boost. So not a bad call. Hope you will like it
There is absolutely no "hiss" sound on my Momentum 3s when ANC is on (or off). It's dead silent. USB audio is also a handy feature; charge your headphones while using them directly from your phone/laptop. Additionally, Sennheiser actually gives you a USB-C to USB-C cable to use this feature ;) Wearing them around your neck is not so comfortable though... if only the ear cups would fold flat. Battery life is also sub-par... but happiness lies in accepting some imperfections :D
I think the new material used on the headband helps a lot. I think even when it becomes old, it can still apply almost the same level of clamping force
You are absolutely right about the Beoplay HX bass. Without even adjusting the equalizer, when playing pop and EDM, the bass significantly distorts. Even on U2s "with or without you" the bass distorted. For $500 that is simply a deal breaker, especially when the Momentum 3s cost $270 right now.
This problem has been fixed with a firmware update. I have the hx with the latest update and I have no problem with distortion at max volume and with the bass up high on the eq
Hey man, great video! I am debating between these two and I'm leaning toward the Sennheisers. But I heard that the Sennheisers have a problem managing notifications between two devices, so if you're listening to music on your computer but get a text message on your phone, it pauses your music entirely (and vice-versa). Is this something you found too? I work on my laptop and get notifications on my phone a lot, so this may be a dealbreaker. Thanks!
yeah that could be a problem for you then. Though the Sennheiser connects to 2 devices at the same time notifications from phone are prioritized. I am actually not sure about the behavior when a text comes in, but when a call comes in, the sennheiser will switch to the phone and pause music.
I am shocked to hear about your bass problems. I have the H9 3rd gen and I have zero issues. When the bass is turned up it sounds magical, shame your HX doesn't live up to its predecessor. I would recommend you return them, the replacement mind change your mind as both sound technically equally good.
I’m currently auditioning the H95’s. They’re supposedly the best. I’ve tried Shure, Sennheiser & Apple. Subjectively, the H95’s have proven to be the overall best fit for me. However, they have a EU volume limiter on them, so I’m left wanting more from them.
Yeah I have heard the same about the H95s too but have not tried it on myself. I was hoping they would be on sale this holiday season and I could buy them then, but still nothing 😩

HX for me is a better fit also. The M3s are the most clunkiest pair that I own.

The Bowers and Wilkins PX and PX7 sound a good bit better than the Airpods Max in A/B testing. Tho neither can compete with open back Sennheisers

The issue with the base on HX has been resolved with a software update long time ago.
