I don't know about that testing, i have seen other videos and momentum 2 doesn't sound like that. However, I can tell that Sony is a better earbuds. even though I have Sennheiser ( quality of sound is all)
I listened to both Momentum 3 and Sony 1000XM4. Updated the firmware to their latest. Set the EQ to flat. Sennheiser wins this easily. The sound is so much better! Also, the bass is better even though people claim that Sony wins in this category. Then I adjusted the EQ on both of them to my liking. Still, Sennheiser won. I couldn't make Sony sound and reveal some instruments like Momentum does. HiHats, cymbals, etc. The sound is fuller and wider. The design is way better and feels premium when compared to Sony. The only advantage that Sony has is they are lighter but I don't care about that, also more tech whoever needs it. If you want better sound then Momentums is the way to go. Sony sounds good, I wouldn't mind having them as a second pair for traveling but that's until you tried Momentums. If you want ANC, and other tech stuff then Sony is a better option. I personally love physical buttons but what I really like in Sony's is that you can dim the sound by covering the ear cup.

I don't use android, but from iOS experience I can tell you that the Sony is more of a all rounder earbud and has bits and pieces of most of the desired features from customers. Whereas the momentum 2s are a great pair of earbud that can give you exceptional sound quality but the rest of features are rather ordinary. I reckon Sennheiser is up for an update in the recent months. But not sure when that will happen.
I got the Senn CX plus and all I can say is wow ! Night and day difference. I had the Xm4s for a few days and they hurt my ears, above 75% volume they sound terrible with no bass. It's just how they work they are not meant to be loud. the noise cancelling is very good and Ldac is ok but overated imho. But the sennys are better sounding in all regards. More comfortable and secure than the Sony's. The bass on the Sennys for hip hop/trap/EDM I just sooo good. You get that rumble subwoofer bass. And yes I have s21 ultra not an iphone
@@TechKnowBiz Bought both to compare them. Neither of these headphones provide the audio quality for the asking price. I mean after all its bluetooth technology. But in terms of audio quality The M2s take slight edge. Almost same shit. I could have swore the Jabra 75s sounded better than both of these but I cant compare it as i lost one of the buds.

the Beoplay EQ is the best earbud that I have tested this year in terms of sound quality. But the XM4s are better on calls and at noise cancellation

Honestly mate, buy the XM4s. The Momentum 2s were great once. But they did not age very well.
