Never seen that version of the Sears console before. With the layout of the joystick buttons could that be actually their version of the 7800? It would be backwards compatible so those 2600 games would work in them as well as 7800 games. Really interested if it does play 7800 games!
Did some research and it is actually the Japanese Atari 2800 version that plays 2600 games. Dumbfounded why they opted for the two button joystick layout? Very nice pick up!
I will try to do some research in the future. When I had the first Sears console growing up it was a regular 1 button joystick along with one of the telephone controllers. But I am not sure if my uncle gave the original ones or if he bought those separately. Video gaming in this era really was the wild west. It is fascinating.
Great Snags. I played a 2600 when I was kid but It never quite hooked me. not sure what it was. cool that Fresh was able to connect a memory on it. Phelios is a great Shmup a good buddy of mine introduced me to it. Hope you're having a great week!
I agree. Atari never quite got its hooks into me. I think the older generation loves it like I do the 16 bit era. I respect the path they paved. I am excited to try Phelios. Good week but busy!!
Love the sega scores! Road Rash was one of my favorites growing up. I spent way too many hours on that game. And nice Atari additions. I used to see Atari everywhere. Now cib are a bit scarce in my area.
We took a page out of your book and are trying to pick up the entire Genesis library. I cannot believe I got CIB Atari not to mention a sealed one. And it is an all time classic in Ms Pac-Man.
Ah, Cutthroat Island, trying to make pirates cool before Pirates of the Caribbean. So, do you prefer the original TJ&E? Phelios is kinda fun. Little known fact, most swordsmen are able to fire beams from their blades, but it's a tactic lost to time. I want to play Double Dragon but I gotta finish up Single Dragon first. Fun fact--neither Lady Laci nor I have seen ANY Mad Max film. It's always fun finding boxed Atari games--the cover art is so much fun. Oooh, a sealed one! Very cool, you got one of the Sears units, that's a great find!
Cartoons did a number on pirates. I am happy PotC helped their image. I love the original TJ&E it was so unique. I think the top down view works so much better for an exploration game. Plus I hate the jumps in the 2nd one. Single dragon is pretty sad. He loses his brother and girlfriend. He just sits there eating pizza and cries. WHAT??? They are driving a tanker truck full of breast milk... what else needs to be said? I was very happy to find a Sears model in the wild.
Duh it's called technology 😂😂😂😂 With as many Sega Genesis games as you bought in the last couple months, I'm assuming you also bought the house next door? Now that hellbringer Kickstarter looks super cool. Yes I'm judging a book or in this case a box by its cover! Oh snap though! That sealed Ms. Pacman 😮😮😮😮😮😮 So cool! And the fact that you got the Sears Atari or whatever it's called.
Hahaha. I had to move the kids into the garage. We will need to make some content for Hellbringer. We got another game in front of it in line. Right??? A sealed Atari game, I was shocked. One step closer to reacquiring my first console ever.
Dang dude! With all these SEGA Genesis pickups how’s a dude supposed to know what to get you for Christmas? 😂 Sweet 2600 pickup! Yars Revenge was always one of my jams on the system. 🤙🏻
Hahaha use the money you set aside for me on your kids! I am trying to stay ahead of the library so I am not buying a ton of Genesis games at full price. I have heard good things about Yars Revenge.
Speedball 2: electric boogaloo is alright. I say just play mutant league. Road rash still fun as hell. And nice pick up with the atari. The games give you maybe 10 minutes of fun at a time. But still fun none the less. Also i didnt even know they had atari exclusives. Overall they look like good pick ups.
When you are playing through the entire library you don't get to pick you favorites. LOL. I got a handed down Atari from my uncle but it didn't look the same. When I saw that facebook post i looked up the first one and that was it. Atari has some hits but they are few and far between. The NES remade a lot of them and they are way better.
Very nice Sega pick-ups! Road Rash is really fun! I heard Ghostbusters is as well! I've seen gameplay, it looks really cool! Double Dragon 5 gets a lot of hate bc its a 1v1 fighting game based off the early 90s cartoon which gets hate too, I loved the cartoon as a kid and I enjoyed the game as well, its not the best fighting game of course but its still fun. I think you got a good deal on the Atari. I've never seen that particular version of it
I haven't played the Genesis version of Ghostbusters. The NES one is a little odd but still fun. Except for the ending staircase. I did not know DD5 was a 1v1. That is interesting. It is the 2nd Sears version. Very interesting.
Kool video thank u guys your videos r fun to watch can’t wait till next one
Thanks for the love! Be sure to check out the Sega ranking videos.
GrandPa packed in extra MEGS of power for your GrandMa's racing game!
Hahahaha grandpa can do it!
Nice stuff you guys got!😊
Thanks for the love!

Awesome stuff! Especially on the sega genesis stuff
Working our way through the whole library brother!

I love all the Genesis pickups! Phelios is an excellent shooter. I enjoyed Fatal Labyrinth, but the combat is strange.
I love 16 bit shoot em ups! Excited to try that one out. That is a great dangling carrot buddy. Hahaha
