I love all 3 of mine. Started back in 2016 with f750 and now have f800 and q800 on all 3 of my family cars. The f750 still working 100%!

Just purchased after a Viafo Duo... still dialing in everything as well (I really like the LD illumination in parking mode) but I appreciate your upload. I'll go check out your earlier uploads as well.

Great video. I was wondering how much power it would draw. But you covered that well.
    Thank you

I've been using this in the UK for over 12 month now and really like it. However, there are two things that I wish thinkware would address via an update to their firmware.
    1) When using the energy saving park mode it would be nice to have a few time delay options before the unit activates once the ignition is off. We're usually still fussing about and creating numerous false incidents.
    2) Allow the user to disable the voiced start up ritual unless an incident has been detected.
Other than these slight niggles the unit is fantastic and has been flawless.

Thank you for the review it was very helpful in my decision making. I hope at some point a company comes out with side cameras looking towards the drivers and passenger windows.

I bought two of these with rear cameras for both of my vehicles soon after your first review and glad I did. My son bought a F200 PRO for his truck.
I mounted the camera in the same spot in my 2021 Silverado but I was getting some annoying glare off the dash so I ordered the CPL filters from Thinkware where they made a significant difference.
Thinkware has recently come out with a power cable that plugs directly into the OBDII port making it plug and play. My son got one for his where it works exactly the same as the hardwire without the hassle of wiring to switched/unswitched power sources.
As annoying as she is, I like the voice speaking up every time it starts because she tells me it's working. We have a lot of speed & red light cameras here so I like her telling me when I'm approaching one. So far she's been right and Thinkware keeps the file updated. However... my family is like you.... they find her annoying and would rather mute her. lol
The microphone I found makes poor quality voice recordings but I always have the mic shut off.
Thanks for your honest unbiased reviews Ray.. That was the main reason I bought these cameras.

Great review Ray. Equipped with a rearview camera, can it be used as a backup camera with the addition of a monitor or tablet?

Thanks. :) Could do but I don't think it would be very good due to the lag/delay when it comes to the WiFi signal processing time.

Looks like that camera will get a lot of use in the near future with you heading south next month now that the border will be opened!

Assuming that whoever made that decision doesn't turn around on the decision and abandon the idea.

I'm still using my Garmin dashcam 20 from 7 years ago. I had to replace the SD card once and the suction cup mount 10 times, but it just keeps on working. I like the 3m tape/magnetic mount on your dashcam, but the voice would be enough for me to drown the thing. I'm going to stick with the Garmin, once I find something that works, I don't break ranks.

Garmin 20 was a solid dashcam, gave it to my mom.

Have you had to replace the tape on the window yet? I have used only suction cup versions because I did not want to deal with tape on the glass. Thanks for your time....

    • @LoveYourRV
      @LoveYourRV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

No, not yet, its a pretty wide piece of tape for a light weight object so I don't anticipate it coming off

Hi. Thanks for the review. I am considering the unit. I like it being small. I also like it not having a screen as I would consider that a distraction when driving. My only qualm is the "App". You yourself had trouble with pairing your phone. I use an older phone and the IOS on it is 10. I am concerned that it would make me want to change phone. I have no intention to change a perfectly good phone just to adjust the viewing angle of the camera. Any thought on the subject? Thanks again.

I didn't much problem pairing the phone to adjust things, the issue I had was getting the cloud feature to work.
