Love this Doobie Bros track BTW !!!!
This was a multicultural funky grooving band. FYI late 70's Doobie Bros brought in singer " Michael Mcdonald who though a very soulful cat turned the band into a more smooth and pop oriented.

They have sooo many great songs. & heard it all growing up. I was born in 1959, I was lucky enough to have been alive for the best music of all time.

Definitely listen to China Grove to hear them really really rock. They also had a really early hit that I remember hearing on the radio all the time in grade school, Blackwater I think is the name of it. It's a really meandering interesting structure but it is so catchy and it definitely makes you want to sing along. It is a total classic. "Oh black water, keep on rollin', Mississippi moon's gonna keep on shining on me" ... 😀

      " Long Train Tunning".
"China Grove" is fine but Ling Train is there best track.

@@Marckymarc71 Arguably so, but since China Grove is much better known, it seems more appropriate for someone being introduced to this band hear that iconic hit first.

Another great band from what I consider the greatest era of music. Also, check out "China Grove", "Long Train Running", "Rockin Down the Highway", "Jesus is Just Alright", etc.

The Doobies are one of my top 5 bands. This song came out when I was in high school. This is a great song to sing along with blasting in the car. Everyone's voice can fit into the Doobies' harmonies! You always make insightful remarks! Oh, and that banjo in this song is a nice touch. Thanks!

Nice to see a Gen-Z'er who knows the score. There's hope for this world, yet.
Next from The Doobs, try their classic, *"Takin' It To The Streets",* which is a different lead singer, a totally different vibe, but just as awesome! (Studio version, please.)

The Doobies is a communal kind of band with players leaving, returning and adding various other players on different albums. Michael McDonald's iconic voice that led the band in later iterations, he left for a solo career and then returned. One of the few dual drummer bands along with Grateful Dead, and others. Nice review...

The Doobies are a great band their albums vary a great deal but are always great quality! When the lead singer temporarily left he was replaced by Michael McDonald who had a totally different sound. I have seen them live twice in the UK, brilliant! Probably the best album is ‘The Captain and Me’ one track is Evil Woman!

Theres no heart, soul, time or talent in todays industry, yes theres a few but not like the musicians of yesteryear.. they mask todays talents with media play choreography, costumes, lipsynch auto tune, sex appeal etc.

The Doobie Bros were HUGE back in the day. I listened to them all the time. Check out their songs China Grove and Black Water. I was blessed to have been a teenager in the 70s. IMO one of the the most iconic rock songs of all time is Layla by Derek And The Dominoes. Please react to that song. I know you won’t be disappointed.✌️❤️
