Difficult to Min/Max her in my opinion. Her strengths are repositioning, utility and flexibility and you can play her very differently depending on your plan for the mission and hero composition. I personally like using her Gather with Marked whenever the team absolutely lacks marking attacks. Dark Chylde can also be modded free, it's very handy. Also like to pair her with Hulk, so I throw all enemies into him when he maxes his rage. I agree that trap door needs some buffs, used it literally 3 times.
Magik was my favorite hero. Playing her in the final mission, as the final hero, felt so climatic it gives me goose bumps just remembering it. I just one shot everything using one of the buff cards + gather and it felt SO GOOD.
Good video, I'd like to add that the combat card "Rune of Vertigo" is sooooo good on magik. its basically a free kill on any big enemy used with limbo portal

Banish works as a free conceal and the Kick and Limbo’s Grasp combo can do a lot of damage especially at the end of rounds
It's also a very valid build. Love the quick kicks. Kicking bad guys in the crotch, sending them fly through a portal into a green fist. Always satisfying to look at.
How shit how fucking long did it take you to get that many Free and Quick keywords and mod rolls? I feel like that would take six weeks of nonstop grinding.
@@chuckbarkley2755Not useless, but situational. If there’s a big enemy you can’t kill that turn you can negate their turn, or if you have all the enemies targeting your tank you can negate all of their turns. That can be more useful at times than a portal at times.

Always fun to keep 1 in the deck, especially if you get lucky and pull someone who can complement your team even further. Fun fact, if you use Nico's double up and use both your free "reinforcement" cards for free on the same turn, it doesn't bring a 2nd person in from the Abbey, but it does double the number of turns that the person you summoned is there for. So Spidey turned up in one of my games, and was there for 4 turns. It was awesome. :)
I tried out this build and had the most ridiculous mission ever. I brought along the combat item that doubles all of the cards in hand for the chosen hero (and discards the rest). My opening hand had these Magik cards: Limbo's Grasp (Free, x2), Kick (Quick) and Quick Soulslash (Draw a Magic card). I doubled those immediately, and proceeded to mop up the entire mission in one round- except for one hydra sharpshooter who finished with a handful of health points- without using a single card play. The mission type was the one with the three crates you need keycards for, so she finished the round with three keycard plays (the first was free due to upgrades) and a Darkchylde just to make sure we went into round 2 unscathed if the hydra goon attacked. Absolutely ridiculous. Thanks for the build.
I love Magik, but I haven't played her much because she hasn't seemed very useful without a good deal of luck in the draws. I've only just begun to learn about modding cards (until 2 days ago, I thought each card only had 2 mod options, and they usually weren't very impressive), and now I can see Magik's true potential.
I legit thought black cat was in the game because the character in 1st of S class looks so much like her but I think thats your hunter haha. Great video!
I think Gather is a pretty nice card that makes you able to setup a really huge follow-up attack. It easily can enhance a nice Bladestorm, or capitalize Immolation damage with Ghost Rider, or setup a nice Hell Ride, you also can use it with conjunction of Captain Marvel AOE cards or just simply helps to group them up for some Blade chain attacks, and if you are out of cardplays it also allows you to deal damage by using your move points and heroism with melee. I dont know Gathering counts as a limbo portal attack, but if yes, it can be boosted by the Limbo's Grasp. At least i see more value in it than in the Darkchylde card which also exhausts.
Sadly, Limbo's Grasp doesn't buff Gather. But I modded it to apply Vulnerable and it's super helpful while leveling up when you don't have everybody min/maxed.
I mainly just used her to reposition and portal people into ghost riders drop then use Spider-Man to knock back enemies near drop into it but that's just what I used to start the game
With those extra moves she generates and her repositioning abilities Magik would pair well with Spider-Man. She gets the enemies clumped around environmental hazards and Spidey can go in for the kill.

Anyways, Limbo's grasp stacks infinitely so with good card draw she just does insane damage, not to mention how much damage environment stuff generally does. I'd put her in lower S tier.
I think the idea is that since the portal cards generate moves you always have a free portal use even if you don’t get an attack that turn. The passive-generated ones don’t have that feature. It depends on your priorities.
I dont think gather getd the buff from the grasp as well that might be what its missing. Like they gave gave it kow dmg for the grasp to help it and then forgot to make grasp work with it
do we ever get venom? I BEEN LVL 25 FOR A WEEK OR 2. I AM ON STORY MODE. I thought I was gonna get him when I dropped the bell on him about 60 hours of gameplay time. so I have no clue what's going on. 1 MISSION I just cant beat ALL THE DEVILS ARE HERE. its a horrible mission. I hate the trio we HAVE TO USE 4 IT. 1 HEROE gets binded after 2-3 rounds. then I GET 1 GUY KO'D. then they all focus on my last character
Can you make a video about how to level up characters? Your clearly building specific stats on your characters and I'm not sure how your doing it unless your specifically doing it via combat training only using specific characters for each combat training depending on what it is? 🤔
I suppose I could. But until that happens I can give you my tips here instead! 1) playing free cards or just as many cards as possible helps level heroes. So often times I tend to stall on missions. For example instead of killing 5 enemies with one big aoe. I pick them apart 1 by 1 just to get more card plays and exp. 2) bringing hunter on every mission gives bonus friendship. Friendship levels boost stats randomly. You will also get hangouts every 2nd night. 3) training yard is key. You can farm missions quickly and each day increase a stat of a hero of your choice is massive. And it’s where i see a lot of my targeted gains. Hope that helps!
Reinforcement can be free. I use it for long fights where I want to reduce the size of my deck after those 2 turns or on story missions where the summoned hero disappears after a transition. That said, it's still usually better not to take it. (Spoiler) It's also fun for story mission where you want the full midnight sun roster to help save Wanda.

I sunk about 100 hours into Midnight Suns and made it to the last story mission. Unfortunately, it crashed on me taking my save file with it. Completely gone and nothing left. Happened tonight and think I need to stay off of it for a while lol
Really sucks to hear that. I had a constant crash at the Avengers tower. I updated my drivers, and repaired game files through steam and it seemed to fix it. If nothing else works try getting past that part on low graphics. That might help?
@@Channel5Gaming Mines on PS5. I guess there were a lot of others experiencing crashes throughout. The Deadpool updated didn't really solve any of those. They are lucky I really enjoyed the game haha

Reinforcement can actually roll a free mod. I was really surprised on that. It's the only reason I run it in her deck.

So it does not work on Summon Charlie? The cards are so similar in function though.
I use her and Hunter whenever I can. I use her Gather to clump enemies together because some of the other characters' AOEs aren't that large.
That plus blademaster modded is insane. U can off 7 guys in a single ability, 11 in a turn... Jesus christ. I love it.
