That's exactly what it reminds me of, the kind of red you'd see at Chinese New Year or a Mexican fiesta, like very bright and fun, which I love! Also reminds me of sport kit red, for instance Puma's signature shade of red is basically this color!

I would’ve gotten product red if it was actually red since it’s my favorite color, but alas, this year’s product red looks more like coral pink, so I decided to get the blue (which I think looks much better in person than it does in most the videos I’ve seen). They should’ve made this an entirely separate color option and kept the product red more or less the same as the red on the iPhone 11 and SE

Although I’m tempted, I will keep my 11 Pro for at lest another year. That is definitely nice tphone hough. I agree on the refresh rate and the notch. I have an iPad Pro with pro motion and in all honesty I can’t see the difference. As for the notch, it’s just there. It may be slightly better if it weren’t but it’s fine.

As long as the case supports MagSafe then it will work. Only the Apple case and some otterbox support it.
Apple could get very creative with the touch ID and use the apple logo on the back for it

I don’t think the notch is an issue at all. It’s what separates it from normal looking Android.

i just got this phone a few days ago and i can say that there is no case that will do justice by this phone. I would ock it without the case, but im paranoid about dents, scratches, etc.

DT are you a iphone max person? Or did you do pro size previously? What are your thoughts on the size of the 12 max?
I prefer the most power I can get in the most portable package I can get so I’d rather have all the features of the promax in the form factor of the mini to be honest - I like huge screens when I’m at my desk but it’s not my preference for my pocket

I’ve been been a iPhone user for awhile now and I’ve been disappointed with the iPhone 12. It’s quick but the camera is just ok and the battery life is horrible.
This red in real life looks more like the coral iPhone XR

Watching 4K HDR on my iPhone 11Pro right now. Listen, last years Pro models are still WAY more than just ok. They are fantastic. The 12's are a bump up, but that's about it....a bump. Other than the Max with the larger sensor and the Sensor Shift tech (which is likely incredible) the rest is completely not worthy of upgrading from an 11Pro. Next year: 120hz refresh, stronger MagSafe and eco system, better cameras and likely larger sensor and sensor shift in the Pro line, more mature 5G, fleshed out LiDar utility, etc. This year is a bump with a nice design that I admit makes me want the new shiny, but it's just not worth the case IMHO.
Being on the Apple upgrade program, I bought the 12 just so I could save $10 per month.

Thanks again for the refresh rate. It’s kinda like 10 years ago when barefoot shoes came out to market. They were 99% of the conversation and 1% of actual shoe buying customers actually cared.

Your rant about refresh rate is silly dawg. It makes a huge difference. Scrolling my iPad Pro next to my iPhone is night and day.
Itt bothers me that they keep the lighting port because if they got rid of it the phone can be really slim
It would take a lot longer to charge it wirelessly.
So this is one of the phones that still donates to the RED charity because if not then i would prefer a different color, but if it dose then yes i will be getting the red one
Im pretty sure youre wrong... you can not watch 4k videos on iPhone 12, the display only supports 1080p resolution... even Marques Brownlee said it with iPhone 11 720p display... that youtube app will lie to you letting you choose 1080p quality but its not real, it's a placebo... you simply can not play 4k videos in a 1080p display... is like having a 1080p TV and trying to play a 4k video on that TV... its just
not possible... when you choose the 4k option the video will even load slower because it is in fact getting the 4k "signal" but it actually doesn't change the image, it will still be 1080p...it's a placebo effect and marketing. Nice review tho

I broke one screen in my life. Forgot that I had it on my lap and broke it when I got out of the car. Fell less then 3 feet.

iPhone 12 edge is not thin
Phone companies won’t ever make their screens or phone 100% indestructible. Hard to sell repairs or replacement phones if they don’t break.
Glass breaks and no matter how you cut it that’s not going to change.
I was considering it, but I really don't like OLED screen. Burn in is a massive turn off, so I picked up an SE. I'm hoping Apple returns with IPS options in the future.
Lyric Hartley I’ve used iPhone X and XS max which have OLED and there has been absolutely zero burn in. In fact I’ve never heard of anyone experience burn in on iPhone. When I had a galaxy S8, the burn in happened so quickly within months of ownership, it bothered me so much I had to get rid of it. Idk what Apple did for their calibration or whatever burn in is simply not an issue for iPhones
@@extra4542 I'll keep that in mind. I'm a really heavy Android user, for most of what I do with a phone. I do a lot of stuff on Discord, so having a phone with a half decent keyboard is a must for that, so my ROG Phone stays with me at home, and while I'm out, I just need something to talk to my Apple Watch, stream music to my AirPods, and give me access to great software like Apollo, iMessage, and let me play games. So, the SE absolutely does it all for me. But, if I was going down to just one phone, I'd probably splurge on a 12.
4 - 5 years later, Apple will go back to the round edge designed.
