Zhang managed to knock Hrgović down in R4 with a rabbit punch, it took Hrgović two rounds or so to recover from confusion, but Hrgović eventually won by decision.

If only deontay had some actual conventional boxing skill. You can't just rely on sledge hammers forever. Eventually you'll run into that opponent you can't just hit at will, who can hit you instead. Don't het me wrong, a good sledge hammer can get you far, it can even snatch you a belt, but it won't make you the undisputed chanpion without skills to go with it. All the big hitters in history who were undisputed or linial champions had slills. Frasier, foreman, holmes (especially holmes), mike tyson, lewis, both Klitschko brothers. Tyson fury can hit, but almost exclusively relies on skill, now we have usyk who might be the most skilled undisputed heavyweight champion there has ever been. Ali is similar to fury in that he could hit when things got nasty, but he relied almost totally on his pure skill. Deontay always eirher struggles against, or loses to big opponents, who don't fear him, and are more skilled than he.

Getting up is just the first step in showing the ref you can continue and not get killed.
