  • Today we comeback to the car pack I struggled with the most with my G920 wheel. My old set up just didn't pack enough punch and this video proved it!
    PC Setup:
    Logitech G920 Wheel
    Ryzen 5 2700x
    GTX 1070ti

    i'm running a g920 with an aftermarket wheel, i always use 200% ffb, even tho i might fry the motors quicker, at least it turns faster on its own. i tried setting it at 100 or 120, but sometimes its just too slow of a countersteer, when the car needs faster, so i just run it maxed out. Also that gyro you covered in a video makes wonders

    I have been driving the wdts cars on brooklyn park server using logitech g920 wheel for a while now
    at first at was so hard to drift and I found myself spin out a lot
    after some practice I figured out you need a good throttle control to control the car properly (I barely adjust the wheel manually)
    once you get the hang of these cars it will be soo much fun and satisfying experience

    Wait till you get a rig or chassis that doesn't wabble as much as yours does. You'd be amazed how much that's also messing you up

    Man this look easy. Looking forward for my moza wheel. With logitech wheel, I have to manually spin the wheel faster during transition. It was a lot of work.

    in the drive tab theres an option for tire blankets, if thats checked you dont have to warm your tires up if its not checked youll notice a difference in between laps drifting

    • @ibdrifting
      @ibdrifting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't see it checked. Maybe my warm up donuts do it lol

    I think using the full 900 degree rotation would help because it’ll feel real and help you accurately modulate the steering

    A tip for WDTS cars is to put the Gearbox on Nismo for all of them so it doesn't lose power btw

      I think it really depends on the track. Some just have better graphics it seems. I have everything on high but also 4K settings with a 4k TV for my screen

    not enough clutch kicks thats how u could save that 3rd turn remember u cant blow up a gearbox ur being too nice to it like it was a real car gotta stop that and it will help you so much i had same problem when i started Assetto

    Having the wheel spin smooth and fast makes such a difference for drifting. It's why I always recommend at least a belt driven wheel for drifting. People always tell me I'm wrong though.

    Is your Pithouse Moza software at 100%?

    • @ibdrifting
      @ibdrifting  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's at the "drift" preset so it's 55% and rotation speed is 100

    • @Username_Invalid
      @Username_Invalid ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ibdrifting Awesome. That wheel is great for sim racing and most run it 100% in Moza software and dial it back to say 80% in sim. Only reason i asked was based on video I knew the wheel had much more power than what I was watching. But you do you. Nice video 👍

    • @ibdrifting
      @ibdrifting  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah there's GT settings, F1, etc that give you a good base to start and most of those the strength is at 100 or more. There's a cool LA Canyon map I keep hearing about. I may download that and try a regular car to rip through the mountains and see how that feels

    • @DeltaInsanity
      @DeltaInsanity ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Username_Invalid for drifting you definitely don't wanna run at 100% in Pithouse software and 80% in Sim, it just feels wrong. For any normal racing, like in iRacing, I do always run 100% in Pithouse with 0 dampening/friction and I think my wheel speed is around 30. Then yeah, lower FFB in game till there's no clipping, and adjust to what you prefer from there.
      But for drifting, honestly Moza's preset is quite good. Then just adjust FFB in game as desired, or reduce it if there's clipping.
