I "really" enjoyed your overview and playing of this instrument and found this to be very informative - I would think this to be ine of the better videos featuring this keyboard. Thank-you, so much, for this detailed product review. (Again, I really loved your playing) Thank-you, once more, Luke Dwelly.
Those three Hammond models (B-3, C-3, and A100) had the same tone wheel internals and effects features. They only differed by the style of case (B models had 4 legs versus C & A models had solid wood sides and back) and the A models had internal speakers and amplification. Any differences in tone between them came from their age, care, storage and modifications.
@@tom221263 We managed. All the early Spencer Davis hits (ie Stevei Winwood on organ) were on an M100. Gimme Some loving doesn't even have Leslie. It's just the scanner vib. We had 2 manuals so there were 88 keys altogether. Life wasn't that bad. But you're focusing on the playability: The real problem was the weight.
@@johnbishop5316 My drummer friend and I USED TO be able to pick up my C3 and carry it 100 feet or so with relative ease. "USED TO" are the operative words here !!! 🤣
It's more or less the same thing as Crumar Mojo 61. Minus one octave and minus the ( superb ) modelled electric piano ( and clavinet ). So.....Maybe for the Hammond logo ?
I’ve played the mojo it’s easily as good as the Hammond. No split, crappy synth keyboard and overpriced. Hammond should ask organists what they actually want.
@@Creabsley please. split is easy?! there's a dedicated button for it lol you don't even know. and both the feel and sound are far better on the Hammond. the leslie sim is FAR better. the chorus is better. stay in school, you got much to learn
Always the same with reviews of gear like this - the transistor models get demoed for all of a second each and then they quickly move on to something else. Surely other people are interested in how good the Vox emulation is?
I wish there was a way I could thumbs up this comment a million times over! I understand that the majority of people are probably mostly interested in the Hammond models, (and I like them as much as the next guy). However for me personally, the transistor models is where it is at! We are definitely an under represented group.👍

What an excellent overview of this new keyboard. Looks and sounds great.
I played out with it last nite and it was a blast! What a great addition all around!
I see your jam Adam ! You are the Best ! so inspiring !
Really...!!! Great Hammond sound !!!! 💯💯
what is the recommended speaker to hook up to the Solo ? And how do you get a nice base with a b3 sound ... struggling with the settings. somewhat.
great video! can I dial in a100. c3. or is just the b3 setting all you have?

But is the reverb, chorus or the delay ACTUALLY stereo or do you have to run it to an outboard processor to create a true stereo image?
Can you connect footpedals to it???
I get the small "portable" size, but one more octave and waterfall keys would have been really nice.
There is a bewildering array of Hammond models at the moment and most have exactly that. I don't get the point reallY Wrist stabbing keys?
The keys are similar to a M-100, which b.t.w had a few keys less per manual. Man, how were people able to play on it? 😂🥳

@@tom221263 Do a couple of multi-octave key smears on this thing and those plastic keys will break off.

Crumar organ tones suck tho. Best stick to a Hammond

Hammond had no damn business pricing this for what they did. Way overpriced.
It’s the brand name tax 🤷♂️
No way I’m paying it. I’m sticking with my VR09
I think its just portable toy. if you are hammond lover, SK series is way better option.
It sounds very bright and piercing, not pleasant sound at all.
It can sound better with an equalizer pedal to give it the tube amp sound.
still doesn’t sound as good as the Nord b3
The price sounds better.
It sound like the real thing- a Hammond💪🏼
@@johnrnnenfelt6746 Hammonds have not been the real thing since 1974.
It has exactly as little to do with a real tonewheel Hammond as any clone.
