I remember the effects of Beatlemania on the older kids I knew in '64. A year and a half after The Beatles first appeared on Ed Sullivan's show I found The Beatles' cartoons on ABC highly entertaining and I was eighteen months older as Beatlemania moved forward like a juggernaut. These were heady times that _still_ echo fifty-four years later.

Actually Paul didn’t speak Scouse , his parents , and after the passing of his mother , his father , wanted to teach him straight english without “dirtying” it with dialects
@@ghostenthusiast7792 Paul speaks perfect "dirty" Scouse when he wants of course, there's an old radio interview from 1964 around the time of the infamous first Beatles visit to USA in which he speaks different British accents playing with John and you can hear that his Scouse is as strong as it is supposed to be ..The fact he was thought by his parents to speak more polite (back in the day it was a pretty common habit among working class families) it doesn't mean he wasn't able to speak his own native dialect..He's just learnt to hide his accent the more he could, but very often you can clearly hear it popping out greatly. Cheers.
